A wish come true!
This product is like a wish come true! I purchased it specifically for a mouse problem I was having. I have been amazed at how effective it is. Not only do the mice not enter the house any more, but I've noticed a significant reduction of spiders. An unexpected bonus. I just purchased another bottle of the oil to dilute and use as a spray in areas of my house where spiders like to hide. I live in the country near a river, so I get all kinds of things that want to move in. Quite honestly, I can say that this product does exactly what it's supposed to - and more! I printed off the instructions which includes all kinds of information about uses for peppermint and tips about how to go about using the oil for lots more than just a rodent repellant. I'm going to try it on the racoons next to see if I can discourage them from eating my bird seed. Oh, and other reviewers have noted, my house smells wonderful.

Great for driving away mice
Great for driving away mice! I had been hearing mice in my ductwork for about 3 weeks. Must have had a whole family of mice. Had put out several D-Con poison baits, which slowed them down but some were still active. After putting the peppermint oil on some old washcloths and draping over the heat registers, I stopped hearing mice in less than an hour! I am waiting now for an exterminator who will charge me $199 for an inspection and setting some traps. Made the appointment when I got scared I might have a rat. Wish I had tried peppermint oil sooner.

So far, so GREAT
So far so good! We occasionally find dead mice on the floor. For a long time we just assumed the cats were bringing their kills in through the dog door as presents. Until I recently found mouse droppings in the boiler room (they had eaten an entire bag of dog treats!) and then just a few days ago, to my horror, I saw a mouse run across my kitchen counter. Immediately I ordered this product due to the great reviews. I wanted to try something that wouldn't endanger the health and safety of our children and pets. As soon as I got it yesterday, I dipped cotton balls in it and tossed them all around the house; in closets, drawers, all over the counter top, and random places around the walls where I assume the little jerks are hiding. First of all, my house now smells AMAZING. When I awoke this morning and stepped out of my room, there was not one, but TWO dead mice on the floor. I assume the smell drove the little buggers out of their hidey-holes, and my dogs and cats took care of the rest. We will see how well it continues to work. I plan to follow up in a few days by stuffing copper mesh into any holes I can find that mice might be using to get in the house. To be continued...!

Repels Most Mice In Car Garage. Used Wicks And Plastic Containers
⁃ This peppermint oil is effective in repelling most mice. There is going to be one or two hardcore tough mice that might not be repelled. ⁃ I purchased 10Pcs 1.34Feet Long Dia. 1/4" Round Cotton Kerosene Oil Lamp Wicks Burner from the seller 'Oriental color' here on Amazon. ⁃ I then took the small plastic containers with lids you find at Chinese restaurants which are used to sell soup. ⁃ I made a notch on the top of the lid and slid the wick through the slot. ⁃ I then put drops of the peppermint oil at the bottom of the container where the wick meets the container, covered the container and placed it strategically on the corners of the garage. ⁃ I add drops once a week or once every two weeks once the wick goes dry. ⁃ The smell is strong for those with a heightened sense of smell. It does smell pleasant after the smell permeates the room.

MICE FREE!
We live in the country, up in the mountains. We left the house for one and a half months and when we came back there were mice having fun on my bedroom dressers, leaving gifts all over the drawers and well, if you are reading this you know the drill… Considering we are surrounded by several critters there’s no point in killing but repelling instead. Also we have 3 dogs and poison was not an option. This Peppermint Essential Oil came to the rescue. I made some little sachets as you can see in the pics I’ve attached to this review and placed one in each drawer, not only in my bedroom but also in the drawers of 2 other guest bedrooms as well, in my closet, and side tables. Now, it’s been 2 months the mice are gone, all upstairs smells fresh and we love it. PS: In case you’re interest in making some of these sachets, I bought them here on Amazon and the links is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OFX5DSM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and a bag of cheap cotton balls.

Mouse control.
Works great, I use it for mouse and rodent control in my Corvette during storage. Take several plastic containers, put I/4" wide slits in the lid and soak some cotton balls with a few drops of this oil and recoat about once a month, Has worked great for me, no signs of infestation. And the car smells great but airs out fast when you get it on the road.

No more mice.
So far I love it. Been using this product for a couple of days now. We have been seeing mice around the house for a few weeks. Been catching them using the sticky traps. Saw this product on here and decided to try it. Since we bought this I have yet to see one mouse. All I did was take 1 cotton ball to each room with a few drops of the oil on it. Worked instantly the first night. Haven’t seen them since. Definitely would recommend over any use of those mouse traps.

Works, but dont use too much!
Did the trick to bring out the mouse into the trap, however, we put too many drops on the cotton balls around the house and in cabinets and our house smelled like peppermint for a month! So a little goes a long way. Use very little (maybe one or two drops) on the cotton balls, this stuff is very potent. On the flip side, we haven't seen another mouse or big in the house due to the very strong smell!

A SAFE SPIDER REPULSER THAT GOES A VERY LONG WAY
Got spiders? Here is a simple receipt that keeps them away: In a quart or so size hand sprayer, put 10 drops of peppermint oil, 1/2 ounce of Dawn dishwashing liquid and fill the rest with water. Shake well and spray inside or outside. It is not poisonous, so it does not kill the insect, it just makes them leave. Where it smells nice to humans, bugs hate it. It is cheap and effective, and has other uses too.

Amazing success repealing rats from my garden!
I am so happy I found this product! And I love the guide that is emailed after the purchase. Great information. I had rats that were eating all my tomatoes, grapes, strawberries, and infesting my patio, eating bird seed dropped from their feeder. I have traps and bait boxes, but nothing worked. I read the suggestion to use 4oz containers, make a wick, and tried it. I did add 6 cotton balls and water to each container to retain the moisture and added an opened large paper clip to easily hang the "pots" along the grape arbor, and next to the tomato clusters. So easy and it worked. I haven't had any eaten produce since. I also hide the pots in some ivy where the rats like to hide. I see them run into the ivy and not 5 seconds later, run out. To see their reaction, I set a pot on the ground in the middle of the bird seed droppings... the rat came as usual to eat...stopped about a foot away, seemed disorientated and ran away. They tried again to approach and ran away. They haven't returned. I am leaving the pot there. This is amazing. Kate is right, you need to make sure you are using enough oil. It last long and I have 32 pots scattered around the yard and have only used half the bottle. I am definitely purchasing more. Also a great price! THANK YOU
