Very impressive and at a great price!

These are an excellent set of steak knives at a surprisingly low price. We needed extra knives for Thanksgiving and looked at local stores. The prices were pretty high, so I went on Amazon and bumped into these. I was skeptical about the quality. Eight knives at such a low price seemed rather dubious. They looked like they'd be fine for Thanksgiving day, so I took a chance and ordered them. When they arrived, my wife and I were really impressed. They're much beefier than I expected. The handles are a bit larger than the knives we have, and the blade is wider. The serration extends from about the middle of the knife to the end point. Best of all, they are very sharp! Turkey Day arrived and these guys sliced cleanly through all the meat. We love them! They look great, have a little heft and weight to them, a decent-size handle to grip, and a good size blade that does its job very well. Without question, if you're looking for a set of steak knives, I'd heartily recommend these.

Fantastic Set of Knives! Can't beat the price.

I'll just cut to the chase (pun intended...) and echo what others say: these are great steak knives. I had my doubts that I'd get 8 knives for $16...I got them and was amazed how heavy they were, balanced and look good. It's simple... for the price you can't beat this deal, and if they wear out in a year? Throw 'em out and buy more. I can get a set of 8 of these cheaper than one Cutco! Heck, I might just buy another half dozen sets or so and just keep them on standby!

What a great knife set!

I can't believe it! I thought for the price i qould be getting some cheap replacementa for my old cheap steak knife set. I couldn't have been more wrong! These are really great steak knives! The only thing missing is a knife block, but i bought a magnetic wall knife rail and they are perfect. If you are looking for a great knife set for a great price, these are for you! Care notes: 1. Obvious, but always towel dry your knives. 2. SS can develop suface rust. To clean buy some of the brillo badics SS scouring pads...they wont leave any matk and will remove any surface rust.

WOW! Great Value & Impressive Design

WOW! Impressive. As I took the first one out of the box (well-packaged, by the way: with plastic protector clips on the tips, wrapped in plastic, and set into cardboard holders in the box) I was literally astonished by the weight. I was simply not expecting a knife this heavy. As a kid I remember we had Ginsu steak knives and a handful of mismatched pairs...those weighed nothing and seem today like twigs in comparison with these. And eight of them...now that I've held them in my hand, I would gladly have paid this for four. (But don't change the price or quantity, Amazon...this is a legitimately good quality deal here.) Blade looks fine...design is good, full tang and feels good in the hand. Looking forward to using these for years to come--and if they disappear on me, I'll be reordering them at once.

Excellent Knife set, even if at a higher price.

I purchased these knives a few months ago for the family. These are inexpensive knives and frankly I chose them because they were inexpensive. I wanted to get some use from them before I reviewed them. I am pleased to report that they are still sharp after three months of daily use. We use them to cut everything from tomatoes to cardboard. They are a good weight, not too light nor too heavy. They feel good in the hand, comfortable. They stand up well in the dishwasher and need no special attention. Have a heavy feel

Very happy with this purchase, knives are heavy, set firm in your hand - I would assume like a more expensive purchase might be. Bought for my Mom, her old set wore out. I would buy another set for our house - for the feel and set of 8 - worth the solid price I paid, but boss said wait. 1 drawback, not dishwasher safe, I would assume due to handle will spot like the current set we have, NBD. For the price or if they ever warp, but another set for the price.

Fantastic knives, unbelievable value!

Wow! I ordered these so that I had extra when we had company over. I expected some type of cheap, box store, generic type knives. Well, I was wrong. These knives are excellent! Well made, good weight, SHARP, etc! These are so nice, my set of Chicago Cutlery's are now my backups to these. Order these, you will be glad you did.

Excellent restaurant quality steak knives.

This is an excellent set of knives, especially for the price. They are a great addition to my existing silverware and match just fine. The finish is nice and the quality is awesome. They are definitely larger knives and have some weight to them, which makes them feel like that "steak knife" that comes out with your ribeye at a restaurant. I highly recommend these.

Great knives at an unbeatable price

I've had these for 6 months and have used them dozens of times, when steaks or chips are on the menu at home. They look and feel much better than their price would lead you to believe. They have some substance to them and are comfortable to grip. We fired up the grill when we had some good friends over, who joked how we finally pulled out the nice silverware for them to use, I laughed and showed them the price I got these for on Amazon. My buddy immediately ordered two sets, one for himself and one for his wife's sister- whose house they had been to the previous week and were trying to slice ham with a butter knife. I usually halfway then air dry these knives, so I don't know how they hold up in the dishwasher, but mine looks as good as they say they arrived, not rust, not water spots, still straight and sharp, tips even remained pointy, so careful where you store them. I'd but these again, but I don't think I'll need to for a while.

Why Spend So Much More ,These are Great !

This set of eight steak knives is an excellent product. Fully riveted, very sturdy, very good balance, and the tang edge on the blades makes cutting very easy. Besides that, they match quite nicely with our present set of black knives. We would definitely recommend these steak knives to anyone who is looking to match their own black knife set, or used as extras on any occasion. The price of this set, just adds to the pluses of purchasing these knives, you will be very happy with this product. I have NOT received any free samples from Amazon or their sellers for giving a positive review, they're just terrific knives !
