Great Tire Carrier
Bought this to mount a spare tire on a retired Ryder car trailer. It was easy to install, and easy to move later when I found out the vehicle I was going to haul was going to hit the tire with the front bumper because of where I had it mounted. The only thing that worried me was how close to the ground the tire sat, but after towing from Maryland to Michigan, the tire didn't touch the road once. I did just recently tow a heavier vehicle, so the tire say even closer to the ground, but the only time it made contact was when I pulled to the side of the road near my house, and one side of the trailer was lower than the road, and even then it was only scraping the dirt and leaf debris from last fall off the grass.

Perfect fit, nice quality for the money
Very nice spare mount. Worked great on my boat trailer and my 4 Lug spare. For the price, I was rather impressed with the quality of this mount as its made of heavy steal and the hardware seemed really decent and heavy. Everything fit together perfectly and as described.

Make sure that you measure the Bolt-Hole Pattern of your Wheel Rim, before ordering!
This Spare Tire Mount works perfect on my trailer. This mount was very easy for me to install, and works perfectly to hold my spare tire onto my trailer tongue. This Carrier WORKS PERFECTLY to hold my 15" Spare Tire onto my trailer. A warning to potential customers; make sure you measure the bolt-hole pattern on your spare tire prior to ordering this Carrier! ALTHOUGH this Carrier is advetized as "UNIVERSAL Design" --- This Carrier's shipping box states: "NOT COMPATIBLE with 5 on 4 3/4", or 5 on 5" Bolt Pattern."! My 15" spare tire has 5-bolt-holes with a 4.5" bolt-pattern; so this Carrier WORKS PERFECT for my Spare Tire!

Very well made spare tire carrier
This spare tire carrier appears to be made very well with strong welds. Although this carrier is not designed to be attached to an angle iron trailer, this is exactly what I did. I cut a block of wood to fill the space within the angle iron to create a solid side. I also bought two extra lug nuts to secure the lug bolts to the carrier. This way when I remove the spare tire, the lug bolts stay in place (rather than falling to the ground and probably getting lost), and using extra lug nuts caused the spare tire to be mounted closer to the end of the lug bolts. Now the lug bolts don't stick out too far and my lug wrench fits over the nuts. This way I don't have to carry an extra box wrench with me just to be able to remove the spare tire from the carrier. This was an excellent buy and I would have gladly paid a little more if it included two more lug nuts.

Easy Installation. Versatile Mounting.
I used to mount spare on jet ski trailer. I mounted on inside rail to maintain turning clearance. Easy to adjust bracket to desired location. So far, all good.

This is a great little item that is well made
This is a great little item that is well made. It comes with all mounting hardware and can fit almost all size rims. It comes powder coated which is huge for a marine item. It was able to hold a 15" steel rim with tire very easily. I highly recommend this product. Pro's: Solid Powder coated Size Strength Con's: The wheel mounting studs are not fixed (which allows for it to be semi universal) but it can make it hard to install and remove the wheel.

Great Deal
Compared to other offerings costing two or three times the cost of this MaxxHaul product, this is a great deal. It is sturdy, and the hardware is metric 8.8. It is also powder coated, so rust should not be an issue. The only difficulty is the loose mount wheel attachment studs; I used JB Weld to affix the studs (carriage bolts) to the bracket, making it a breeze to hang the spare on for running up the included lug nuts. Appreciated the over-length attachment bolts as I have side rails on my trailer, and this allowed the carrier to be spaced out about 1 inch.

which I love, and I wanted a spare
I bought a 5 x 8 trailer from TSC, which I love, and I wanted a spare. For $12 this was 1/3 the price that TSC wanted for the carrier (I also got the spare from Amazon for 1/2 what TSC charged). This comes with brackets with lots of different hole spacings to bolt to the tongue of the trailer. I had already added a cheap trailer jack from HF, and I was able to re-arrange the brackets so that both the trailer jack on the left and the spare tire on the right could share the same mounting bolts. This worked really well and saved space. A great deal at this price, sturdy and well finished.

Amazing product!
I think this spare tire holder is amazing. I am surprised it was only $13. dollars. I have a 5 lug 15” tire and it fit perfectly. The directions were very easy to follow. I installed mine while still in my pajamas this evening with a pair of channel locks. Before buying I went to the internet and asked how to measure the wheel. I found a site that explains it with words and pictures for a 4 or 5 lug wheel. They even provide a downloadable ruler to make it even easier to measure. Etrailer.com

Absolutely Great Value and Quality for the Price
I was looking for a way to mount a spare tire to the exterior of our enclosed trailer, but the v-nose prevented me from putting one on the tongue itself. As an alternative, I bought this one and drilled some holes in the wall of our trailer and mounted it directly to the exterior wall. If you decide to do this yourself, be sure that the carrier bolts go around a stud in the wall of the trailer, and make sure you account for the size of your tire when you choose your placement. Also remember to use a silicone sealant around the edges to prevent water from leaking in through the bolt holes. It was very easy to install and unless someone is suuuper dedicated, I don't see how they could get to the bolts to remove it from the wall of the trailer - especially since the opposite side of the bolts will be inside of the locked trailer anyway. To top it all off, for as inexpensive as this one is I'm very impressed with the quality of the welds. They look like they'll hold up as long as the trailer. After putting the tire and a cover on this mount, I'm very happy with the aesthetics and improved usefulness of my trailer.
