Big fan of unflavored Isopure, but pro tip: Frequently cheaper to buy three 1lb. bags instead of a 3 lb. tub
I've been using unflavored Isopure for years. I tried a lot of other types and brands of protein powder, but Isopure definitely mixes better than any other protein I've ever used. It really is "unflavored," too. I remember just eating a small spoon full to try it and it tasted like... Well, it tasted like nothing. I add it to fruit/spinach/almond milk smoothies, and it basically just works as a thickener and protein supplement with no added taste. Even though it mixes well, I would still recommend blending thoroughly. Low calorie, high protein, unflavored... What's not to like? Pro tip, though: If you're going to use a lot of this product, it's frequently cheaper to buy three 1 lb. bags instead of the 3 lb. tub.

Mix it in cold
I'm getting ready for bypass surgery. This was recommended at my support group. It was suggested that I can mix it with bullion or mix in my my water or juice Etc. I discovered that it must be mixed in cold liquid in order to avoid chunks. It doesn't say that anywhere on the package I repeat anywhere I read it thoroughly. I don't think it tastes too badly but my kids disagree. But I may be alone in that. You tend to convince yourself of something when you have to you know you eat would you have to eat kind of thing.

Made Difference in Height of Keto Dinner Rolls; 22 mo. Expiration; Would Buy Again
Bought this whey powder for use as an ingredient in a Keto almond flour roll recipe. Boy, did the rolls bake higher than they did when I used 1/4 c. Almond or Coconut Flour as one of the ingredients when making the recipe. I know nut flours don't have the gluten necessary to rise, but the rolls I made did come out taller when I removed them from the oven. Purchased this on 5/21/18; expires 3/2020. Would buy again.

Best bang for your buck
Love the unflavored protein powder so much I had to buy the 3 pound one. Got the unflavored one mainly because it makes it multipurpose to use via cooking or shakes. When I powders the bigger 3 LB one they really pack it to the top. You get your money’s worth. I would recomend to those not sure what flavor to try the smaller bag first. P.s. the scoop in the big one is a little buried from the top.

easy on your bowels!
i know, 'bowels' is just the word you wanna hear in a food review. but this is exactly why i wanted to try a whey isolate like isopure. i write this review out of sheer empathy for anyone else who experiences the below when trying to get extra protein in their diet through convenient protein powder, whether you're into bodybuilding or general fitness or whatever. Previously through the past 20 yrs i've tried many brands of whey protein, usually the budget friendlier stuff rather than true isolate which tends to be a little pricier. In the last couple years though I was having some gut issues with even popular brands like ON Whey, gas, diarrhea (again, gross right?). So i dont know if i just became allergic or sensitive to the stuff or if my body doesnt like all the extras (fillers etc). after some research of reviews of isolates i saw helpful reviews saying that going with a true Isolate could help so i gave it a try. i've tried isopure for a month or so at the time of this writing and have zero issues with it so am happy with it. it is a little more expensive than cheap whey protein, but to avoid the above mentioned issues, its worth it!! review of unflavored isopure zero carb: no extra flavoring is kinda nice as you can do what you want with it. just added it to some oatmeal and hey, it can taste like oatmeal vs chocolate oatmeal if i had added a choco flavored protein. (nothing wrong with that, just saying you have more flavor flexibility going with unflavored, but by all means do as you will) Mixes pretty well (most isolates should), is not 'grainy' like some cheaper wheys can be. in the oatmeal example, i have no clue that its in there other than i can tell a slight 'milkiness' quality both in texture and taste. the 'flavor' of unflavored isopure is best akin to a 'milk' aftertaste (doesnt sound appealing i know, but again, you're not buying this for the TASTE of it by itself but that you can add it with whatever flavorings you desire: juice, milk, chocolate, smoothies, cooking, etc) - and when doing so its own slight flavor of milkiness is easily overpowered by whatever you would add. anyway, if you've had gas bloating or worse with other protein powders, particularly anything less quality than an Isolate, give something like Isopure 100% whey protein ISOLATE a shot. just buy a small bag so you can try it before buying bulk to save $. simultaneously i'm also trying dymatize protein isolate, so far only had a serving of it so can give a good review yet, but off the one serving didnt have any negative impact so i'm optimistic it will also be a good way to go. thanks

No flavor or grainy texture!

although it does have a teeny tiny flavor it's nothing that would make something else that you add it to taste bad. I love to add this to stews or ...
I was very skeptical about this really being "unflavored"....although it does have a teeny tiny flavor it's nothing that would make something else that you add it to taste bad. I love to add this to stews or soups to thicken them because as a gastric bypass patient I'm not to supposed to eat soups, they are considered a " slider food"- something that passes through your system to fast to get any nutrients out of it, and this prevents that from happening. I also add it to my iced coffee to make a meal out of it. 😊

Best I've tried yet
Great price and product. Why pay more for the flashier brands? 100 calories and 25mg of pure protein. I bought the unflavored, I love that it's truly tasteless, odorless, and dissolves easily. Perfect for shakes and I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging. I live in FL, the sunburn state so I was a little worried about this product in the heat. I actually picked it up in the afternoon the day after it was delivered and the package wasn't even warm. Awesome buy all around, I'll definitely purchase again.

one of the best proteins for me
absolutely love this protein. I know it has no flavor so your probably like huh, but lemme tell you why i love this protein. See im lactose intolerant for 1 and i can't consume 99% of most proteins without feeling some type of side effect, (gas, bloating, upchuck, unease) since i bought the isopure protein beverages i wanted to try this protein as the beverages didn't make me sick either. Also i make a mean vegetable shake with fruit spinach and cucumbers so the problem is drinking 2 protein shakes and having to down this huge vegetable shake as well, i decided to buy this protein and add it into my vegetable shake and boom i got a protein vegetable fruit shake which is basically like a meal and its delicious i can't even tell the protein is in there. Also it has no carbs so im able to do double scoops on my carb down days and not feel the effects of insulin as i would with my normal protein with carbs. plus the taste is whatever you mix it with so you can stand the flavor.

The purest, smoothest, whey powder I have had!!
This product is amazing. I don't like added sweeteners, or sugars in my food or drinks, especially not in my protein shakes. I've used this as a post workout in the a.m. with 8 oz of coffee, some cream and BCAAs and in the afternoon as a post workout shake with almond milk, cacao powder and BCAAs. Although it's unflavored, it smells so pure and like fresh protein. The company packages the product fresh and marks the bag with a packaging date and expiration date. After 2 days of using Isopure, I have become a loyal, satisfied customer and I went ahead and purchased the 3 lb jug as well. I have a few trips coming up, so I plan to use the bag for traveling. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a fresh, natural whey for a very reasonable price.
