I spent hours online scouring reviews and pictures looking for the perfect play mat for adventuring daughter. It was difficult for me to find an affordable mat that wasn't a puzzle mat or too hard on the eyes. Then, I finally found this one. The cloud pattern is cute, but if it's not to your taste there is a polka-dot pattern on the other side and it's fully reversible. It was the perfect dimensions for our play pen and it's SO soft and squishy so we don't have to worry too much about the occasional bonk as she learns to stand up. The mat was shipped in a long box rolled up. It arrived with no odor or need to air out, we just unrolled it and it was ready to go. I'm glad we finally found something safe, soft, and cute for her play area.

I bought this mat for our office/finished room over-the-garage space. I didn't want the primary color squares up in this space (those are downstairs - ha!) and this mat is so cute. It's easy to clean, doesn't smell, rolls up easily, and I love the pattern. It's also dual-sided, and I like having the option of maybe using the other pattern in a different space. This child is our first, and we intend to have more and also to move, so perhaps the other side will work better in our next place or with our next babies.

Great product, though overpriced for the surface area covered. I had to buy 4 sets for one playroom floor. Easy to install and looks great. Heads up, if you're not picky, wait for an Amazon warehouse deal on this. It's about half price and the only "problem" is that the coloring is slightly different than the newer versions. Slight enough that you won't care unless you're trying to impress some very critical people. I promise your baby won't care.

I was obsessing for far too long about what to get, and at first I got a very large and somewhat expensive rug. It needed a carpet pad to be soft enough for my little one, and also an antislip pad because the thing kept moving all over the place. It was constantly shedding which of course my little one LOVED to put into her mouth. After being completely disgusted by the rug and asking some girlfriends about what they used, I did another search on the internet and found the Skip Hop Playmat. I didn't really like the multiple color ones. We have a smallish apartment, and I wanted something that would be good for our little one and stylish. Yes, it's pricey when you start having to get a few of them, but honestly it was much cheaper than a box store rug from C&B, West Elm, or wherever. Also, you can make whatever design you like. I did a slated stripe design, and I think it's very pretty. It is so easy to clean (spills are no problem unlike that dang rug), and while there are some scratches it's very hard to see them. Hope this review helps!

This is a must buy for all babies! I absolutely am 100% satisfied with my purchase. I have been searching for "the perfect" play mat for my 8 month old. Well I have found the one. I cannot say enough good things about this mat. The mat is 70w x 56h. Perfect size, not too big and not too small. Right now I have it in my living room because that is where she spends the majority of her time, once she is older I will move it to her play room. It is also the perfect thickness. When my baby falls over she is okay, it is nice and soft. My husband and I even lay on it with her sometimes. Being made out of foam is not only great for the cushion, but also for cleaning. It is very easy to clean or wipe up any spit up or spill. I also love that Skip Hop thought to make it where you can make several different patterns. How neat is that? When we get tired of one pattern, we can change it up! A few people complained about the smell. I didn't find it had a strong smell. After being out for about 30 minutes, we never smelt it again! I highly recommend this product!

It's so great to finally find foam tiles that don't make your house look like a circus! The tiles are great quality and I no longer have to worry so much when my fearless 8 month old tries to walk and climb on everything. As a side note, I ordered 4 packs and 1 pack was a slightly different gray than the others. I emailed Skip Hop about the issue and they quickly sent us new tiles. Such great customer service, we will continue to be huge Skip Hop fans!

Love this mat! We saw it everywhere, all the time, so we knew that when our daughter became mobile we would probably purchase it. It is so nice to have an option that isn't in an eye-straining primary color (important since we have this in our main living room)! I also like the versatility of the pattern options. Was very easy to lay out, no smell, and relatively soft and shock absorbing to protect our little one from our wood floors. Would definitely recommend!

I love this mat! It’s easy to clean and pretty large! I have a daughter with bad reflux so this has protected my living room carpet! The street design is so cute and will be great to play “cars” on. It rolls up nicely. I recommend this to anyone!

Just got this today and we love it! Comfy enough to cushion my 6mo when he topples over, but not so thick that you would trip over it. It also had plenty of space for me to sit or even lie on the mat with my son. It also has a bit of texture making it nonslip, and it feels like it will be very easy to clean. There was absolutely no smell, and I chose this company because they test for so many toxic chemicals, so I feel safe using this with my son. The coolest thing for me is that my son was so intrigued by the "drawings" that he actually tried to crawl for the first time! Usually tummy time results in an immediate roll over onto his back so that he can play with his feet (apparently feet>toys), completely removing any chance of him building core muscles or learning to crawl, so this is huge! We decided to buy a second one for the other room.

I have the grey/cream and it's perfect ! So many mixed reviews I only ordered one to see, ordering 3 more to cover the floor ! I'm very pleased. I know they say kids need color and to them I say that's what toys are for, this is a permanent fixture in my home. One happy mom and two happy babies
