Great Quality to Price ratio
I love French Staub and Le Creuset, no doubt about it. However this Lodge is excellent also and for a great price. So much cheaper. I was wanting a small covered pot for barley and other grains. I've read that Lodge oversees the China production closely and their US made products have a good reputation, so I decided to trust its rep for something from China

Needed a small pot...
Perfect for the two cans of green beans we love to have at dinner for a family of five, and doesn't take up tons of space like the larger pot we had before. Cast iron is heavy, so a small one is so much easier to clean and pull out or put away. The last pot we used had a terrible knob on the top, Lodge makes quality product. No cracked or lost knob for their pots and pans!

Good starter for cast iron
I was always hardset on just getting Le Creuset or Staub but in reality I never worked with cast iron or enameled ones at that. So spending a lot on something like those without knowing if I like it would be a little difficult for me to justify. Now, I have cooked extensively with this, a pre-seasoned Lodge pan and now have three Le Creuset (this all happened in a couple months). This pot is great, not huge so size is good enough for two people. Small soups and dishes. I love how the heat gets distributed so well. One issue I had with my Lodge pan is the fact that one area of the pan does not get as much heat as the others. This pot seems okay thus far. Only other main difference is little uneven bumps or appearances in the enamel coating which haven't cause any issues with cooking. When compared to Le Creuset, I would say the latter has better coating, distribution is more even (at least for the pan), and is a better manufacturing process which probably leads to a more lightweight cast iron. My Le Creuset pot is just a little heavier than this smaller Lodge. I mean either way not an issue for me but if weight is an issue, it is something to consider in the long run.

They immediately became their favorite cooking pots
I ordered three of these Dutch Ovens one each for my wife, daughter and granddaughter for Christmas. They immediately became their favorite cooking pots. They love them! They are the perfect size for the three cooks who cook for three, two and one. And they are so attractive they serve directly from them on the table(s). Rarely do I find a present for the favorite ladies in my life that they love. These truly are great pots. The lid fits securely and the handles are perfect for handling hot. Given the raves I have gotten for these presents, I would recommend them to anyone, but especially to guys who have no idea what to buy their ladies for Christmas.

Once again - Lodge has proven to be THE BEST.
Once again - Lodge has proven to be THE BEST. The BEST looking cookware, the BEST price and the BEST customer service. I use this small pot for cooking rice/pasta and re-heating small meals. I bought it in January, and a while later a small problem emerged - a discoloration on the inside. I didn't overheat or dinged the pot, yet the stain kind of looked like rust. I've contacted Lodge via email, I've sent them some photos. A week later I got a replacement pot! Thanks Lodge! Awesome customer service and great products. I love cast iron cooking and Lodge is MY choice of the cookware. Bravo!

A Must Have
This little pot is a must have! It rounds out all my other sizes of this type of pot. It holds 1.5 quarts of liquid right up to the rim. So, I keep this in mind that for cooking, count on it as a 1-quart pot. I like the handles which take up less room on the stove top while cooking. The handles also make the pot easily-handled. The quality is superb! I recommend Lodge highly and cooking with enameled cast iron is the best for our health.

Nice pots from stove to table.
I bought these because i wanted a smaller cast iron pot than the larger ones offered on the market. I love these so much that i purchased 2! They are just right for a meal for 1 or 2 people. It can even go from the oven/stove directly to the table. They have a nice look about them and they handle heat very well also. I am very happy with my purchase.

Wow these things are fantastic!!!
Great value, good durability, nicely priced, great size. As you know an animal is a form of glass, you don't want to be bouncing around and manhandling glass roughly correct? So if you use a medium Flame and handle properly you will have these a long time, I've had my pot from a previous purchase for over 10 years. These are very nice cookware.
