Perfect for small dogs

This item is exactly what I was looking for! It went together perfect, all the holes lined up and it looks great. For those who said it is cheaply made, I think it’s PERFECT for small dogs. My Charlie is 7 lbs. I would not recommend this product (even the larger one) for big dogs. It’s juat not sturdy enough. For little ones, it’s great!

Sturdy and looks great

I was skeptical to buy because of some of the reviews. Was super easy to put together and feels really sturdy. Looks super cute in my new place. Family and friends have been surprised when I open it to show them where my doggo sleeps! My Wiener dog has more than enough room to be comfortable. Bought a soft bed to put inside it and it’s perfect.

My dog is happy, so I am, too!

Perfect, beautiful dog crate with a design that is both classic and modern enough to be sure to fit any decor. I love that it is solid on the bottom half with bars on the top half, so I can still clearly see my dog but she also gets that feeling of being in a safe and enclosed place as she sleeps. It was relatively easy to put together, but I wouldn’t volunteer to do it again lol. Some of the screws are positioned in places where it is difficult to do unless you have someone else helping to hold the pieces in place while you install the screws, but besides that I had no issues at all. The door is easy to open and close, and the crate is surprisingly lightweight for how it looks, which is nice if you occasionally need to move it. I cannot speak for the durability of the bars, because my dog is calm-natured and enjoys the bed enough not to test them. :) If you have a calm dog like me and you’re just seeking an attractive dog crate, I would highly recommend this one! (Also note: It does not come with a bed, but I put a standard size pillow inside, and it fits with quite a bit of room to spare. The crate I purchased was the second smallest one, and my dog is an 8.5 lb toy poodle. She is very comfortable with plenty of space, so if your dog is a similar size, you would probably be fine with this crate or even the smallest one.)

Loved it

It’s beautiful my dogs love it. You don’t even notice it in the Dr. It’s a designer dog house. I bought 3. 2 white and one black. In the living room they are the most beautiful end tables. And yet for the pups. Easy to put together. Well manufactured

Beautiful

Was not easy to assemble, predrilled holes didn't line up. Husband was able to make it work, very sturdy!

So Far so GOOD

Easy to assemble and it's very nice looking. It took about 30 minutes and I did use a drill. It blends in with our furniture and it's the perfect size for our dog. A small dog bed fits perfectly inside. The lock on the outside works... we haven't left her in it with the door closed so we will see what happens! So far so good! Defintiely worth it!!!

Basically like Sauder furniture but looks fine in the room

As advertised. Simple to put together. Basically like Sauder furniture but looks fine in the room; certainly better than the wire ones! Just the right size for my Boston Terrier.

VERY satisfied with this!

I feel like I MUST write a review because the low-star reviews don’t seem fair to me and has not been my experience AT ALL - this type of crate is not good for puppies or dogs who have not been crate trained, OF COURSE they’re gonna chew threw it... it’s wood. That said, it’s ACTUAL WOOD and does not look or feel cheap, to me. (If you’re looking for something even more “classy” you’re gonna hafta spend over $100.) It’s light enough for me to pick up and move, though it looks and feels like a solid piece. I did not experience an overly strong varnish smell, nothing a ceiling fan and cracked window won’t get rid of - the sticker inside the crate says it was manufactured just a few months ago, so of course it’s gonna have a little bit of a fresh varnish smell. I have no doubt this will last us years and years, as my dog gets in her crate voluntarily and only freaks when she hears us coming home - worse case scenario she scratches the inside of the door a bit. BEST PART was that this was SUPER EASY to assemble. Nobody enjoys assembling things (okay maybe some people do) but this took me 30 minutes to get outta the box (very secure and well-done packaging) and put together using only a Phillips screwdriver. The instructions are broken down into FOUR easy steps. I’m SO happy with this piece.

a bit larger then expected

I like the look. The assembly was pretty straight forward. The dog loves it. My recommendation is to go a size smaller if you are on the fence about what size you need. My dachshund/chihuahua has no trouble getting into this crate.
