If you have a large head look for another model. It fits me great. I'd be considered average hat size and this is very snug. Squeeze out the sweat shake it a few time and it drops the btu on your hear immediately. Since I have less hair on my head than I was born with this beanie works great. I wear this in direct sun light on the tennis court with and without a billed cap. I will be getting several more as the season heats up. Lastly, just a little liquid hand soap and warm water, rinse it out, towel dry and layout on a paper towel. You'll be ready for the next day. It does give up a little dye in the first few washing but nothing you would notice when dry.

It really works!

I’m a big sweater and I have a bald head which makes it even worse. I used to wear a headband on my 20-40mile bike rides and I would literally have to stop several times to wring it out cause it would be completely soaked. I’ve worn this on 2 40mile bike and it is amazing, it really works it magically distributes the sweat to wear in doesn’t drip in my eyes and even the it feels really wet, it’s not dripping everywhere. Amazing! I highly recommend this product and I’m definitely getting another one.

Great Head Cap.

I have purchased several different head caps since the beginning of this year and never was truly happy with any of them. I only wear them when riding my Gold Wing. I recently purchased a new Micro Slim Beanie Helmet from Crazy Al’s and wanted a small, slim head cap to wear under my helmet. Anyways, this Mission Enduracool Liner is great with OR without a helmet on. And yes you can wear it over the ears or above. My head is pretty round and I keep my hair cut really short. For my helmet measurment, my head is 21.5” Oh yeah, loved this cap so much, I already purchased 2 more but from some where else.

Excellent. Highly satisfied

I bought it to wear under a Taekwondo sparring helmet, and it worked great for that. So well, that I now wear it when I'm not wearing a helmet as well. I have a shaved head and sweat copious amounts during a typical session. This is very effective at keeping the sweat out of my eyes and face. When wearing under the helmet it is definitely more comfortable than wearing the helmet by itself -- it's very thin and doesn't certainly doesn't retain heat. Under the helmet, though, I can't really feel the cooling effect. Now that I have worn it several times sans helmet during non-sparring training it also is excellent at keeping the sweat off my face, and I can certainly feel the cooling effect. During a one-hour training session, I would typically wipe my scalp/face/eyes with a sweat towel about 15 times. When wearing this, I can get by without wiping the sweat away much at all. When I take it off, it is heavy with moisture and I can wring it out. The label says it is machine washable, but I have just been thoroughly rinsing with clean water after each use, and weekly giving it about 1-2 minute hand wash in the bathroom sink with mostly water and a touch of soap or detergent. It smells as fresh as a daisy. It's only been about 10 uses, so I can't really comment on its longevity or how it will retain it's elasticity/shape/fit after about 10 uses. The fit is fine for me. First time on it feels snug, but it stays in place and after having it on for a few minutes, I forget it is there. I'm pretty hard on it, but so far, I won't hesitate to buy a second one or replace this. I will likely start wearing it when working in the yard or anytime I want to keep my bald-head-sweat out of my face and sunglasses.

Super comfy and great sweat management

I have been using head bands and sweat caps for years. I use them biking, working out, yard work. Honestly, this is my favorite. Wish I would have bought one sooner. Fits my head perfect. Total comfort. Although there is no terry cloth band, it seems to manage my sweat better than my head bands with the absorbing cloth. And yes, it does disperse the sweat and make you feel like you have a mild cooling sensation. Especially under the fan at the gym. The moving air really makes the cooling sensation nice. Anyway, this seems to be a pretty high quality sweat cap. It is thin enough for me to wear under my helmet when biking, or just going for a walk. Maintaining it is easy. In my experience, sweat and salt can ruin elastic and some cloth, so I hand wash with a bit of laundry soap after each use. It dries quick and you are ready to go again. To sum this up, I am a believer and really enjoy this cap.

Thought it was just a skull cap.Wow does it work

I wear a hardhat in a cement operation where temps vary from 100 degree to 150 every day, all day. Sweat bands that are made for hardhats did nothing for me. Some of the other guys with bald or short hair wear welders skull caps, that helps but not enough to make a big difference. So I saw this looking for something to wear while riding my bike, looked like it wouldn't blow off my skull while riding like others have, decided to get it since it was a prime sale. When it arrived I was working in the yard on a 100 degree day. Wow. Never knew it was a cooling cap! Did as instructions said, put it on and felt, actually felt my body temp dropping. That night took it to work and could not believe the difference. I'm getting 2 more to keep at home and for the bike. Enjoy

Great for wearing under a baseball cap

Because I'm a big guy, and bald, I tend to sweat a lot. I wear baseball caps when I go out, and the sweat will soak through the baseball cap and make sweat stains. This helmet liner sits above the ears, and is nice and thin. Very comfy. It's thin enough to wear under a baseball cap, which I'm very happy about; because that is the reason I bought it. It soaks up the sweat and my baseball cap doesn't look like it just pissed itself lol. Will update the review later after using it at the shooting range, where it can get very hot.

Keeps me cool. Didn't expect much but have been impressed.

This skullcap definitely does the job -especially around the elastic band where a tad bit more water is retained. I don't feel that the cap is too tight and it does not induce headaches on my 45 minute commutes to work in 100F temps. At 100F the cap will mostly dry out and become ineffective after an hour's use which is reasonable. I carry around a water bottle to keep it hydrated on longer rides and when I have the opportunity I like to soak the cap real quick in ice water which can easily be had at stops. The cap can pull far enough (even moderate male hair) to the top part of my ears too which I like because it keeps them cooler as well. Overall definitely worth the purchase.

Quality helmet liner or just for a sun block that keeps you cool as well

Use this mostly under my bicycle helmet. Have skin cancer issues on my head so always wearing a hat and this works well for the helmet or just wearing in the pool, surf, etc. when another hat will come off. Doesn't look half bad by itself. When hot you can wet it, wring it, snap it and it will keep you cool under your bike helmet for a half hour or so then you can repeat. Cooler than Headsweats. As cool as Castelli skullcaps and more absorbent for sweat. It will eventually let the sweat through, however. Bought a second one to include in the rotation.

Great for riding in the hot, humid south east

My family mountain bikes in eastern TN. Summers can get hot and humid. Sweat dripping into your eyes (or in my case on to my glasses) while running a downhill trail is not a good thing. This provided a good solution. While it provides some cooling, my first concern was something I could wear under my helmet to cut down on the sweat getting in my eyes and on my glasses, thus interfering with my sight. This does a great job of soaking up the sweat, even after wetting it before hand and riding for hours. It fits snug to the head, and i only had to make a very slight adjustment to my helmet for it to slide over it. I won't ride with out it now. In addition to keeping the sweat out of my eyes, during breaks, I can pop it off, and use it to dry my face, arms, and neck. Very absorbent. Now for the cooling. Since it depends in part on evaporation, and since I am wearing it under a helmet, it doesn't cool as much as I would like. That said, it is very understandable, so I cannot see docking any stars for that. When I stop for a break and remove the helmet, the cooling effect is almost instant. If I remove it and snap it a few times per the instructions, it cools even more. It has proven durable to this point. I generally ride with it 5 to 6 days a week. I have begun to wear it on walks/hikes as well. Just about any activity where I know sweat will be an issue, I have this on.
