Nice router, not compatible with CenturyLink bonded connections
Didn't work with my application, but that's not the fault of TRENDnet. Good router if it's compatible (which it's not with CenturyLink bonded connections). Do your research if you're buying this for use with CenturyLink.

Amazing Speed
Since we can only get DSL where we live, it has been hard to find an affordable router/modem that is wireless. It took me a while to set it up, but once I did...WOW, the speed we are getting is amazing! Thanks for a great product!

Working well, getting high speed on VDSL
When I went to VDSL about two years ago, my ISP insisted we could only use one modem which they rented to us for $10/mth. This was totally against their usual policy of only selling modems, not leasing. Even after all this time, they couldn't recommend another vendors products for purchase (policy again), except unofficially a couple expensive ones from Netgear and Asus. Fed up, I took my chances on this modem. I'm only using it as a modem in bridged mode - I have a more centrally located router for Wi-Fi - and it's working like a charm. Speeds are still high, and this turned out to be a great value.

so I'm satisfied.
Does work with CenturyLink. Ask if the connection is VDSL2 when you are purchasing the service from CenturyLink. Get username and password for your account from CL to use to set up internet connection. You do not need to know the VCI and VPI numbers. Also be careful when setting up the connection. If you mess up the username and password the first time you have to edit the settings that you already created. It will not allow you to try to create a new setting with a different username and password. Not knowing this blew a decent amount of my time. The modem/router works though, so I'm satisfied.

Beat the ISPs
The TRENDnet AC750 was purchased to avoid paying the high monthly fees of renting or the ridiculous price of buying a modem from Centurylink. It does not come preset with the settings for you to be able to plug and play. However, with a little bit of technical knowledge you can set it up yourself. I did have to call them to get a couple settings I was not able to get on my own, but between them and an internet search it was up and running. To date, I have yet to have any trouble with the modem/router. I have a relatively small two story home (~1200 sqft) and I can get signal anywhere in the home. I really like the fact that it is dual band so I can connect my more modern devices to the 5 GHz. I would recommend this product to anyone with some technical knowledge that doesn't want to pay the crooks more than they have to.

Damn fine modem/router and helpful customer service people to help set it up
At first I had trouble setting this up for use with my Century Link ISP. However, with the friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and most helpful customer service people, the connection was made. This is a great modem/router, solid down and upstream, and speedy as well. as expected, the 5 GHz is faster but covers less territory, and the 2.4 MHz is somewhat slower but goes farther.

This thing works great. I've had it for a year
This thing works great. I've had it for a year. The tech support at century link was reprehensible, so make sure you google for the dsl settings before trying to install and configure this modem if you have to use century link. Fortunately, I was able to find the settings i needed googling using a smartphone.

Works on CenturyLink Follow previous reviewers guide.
A previous review helped me setup this modem for CenturyLink and it worked perfectly as CenturyLink will tell you this modem isn't compatible. It's been a month or so and still haven't had any issues. Signal strength on the 5ghz channel is not very strong and does not travel well beyond the next room, from what I understand this is an issue with all devices using this technology.

Has lots of capabilities and features. Web-based setup/status pages are well-defined and easy to navigate. Wifi gives good performance on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands. Overall, stays continually connected to Centurylink and does its best to handle "strange stuff" that caused previous modem to lose connectivity (I am in a rural area at the end of a dead-end road!). Excellent device and much less expensive than one from Centurylink! Have installed latest firmware version (1.0.0.2). Can only report on ADSL capabilities; my provider (Centurylink) at this location only provides ADSL2+ with "Dynamic IP Address (IPoEoA/MER (MAC Encapsulated Routed) with DHCP) ". Tried doing Auto-detect, but modem would not connect. I fumbled through various manual settings (using semi-educated guesses) and eventually got a connection. Speed tests show much improvement over my previous ADSL modem. Problem: when doing "Backup settings", the XML file creates successfully, but when I tried to reload it, get "File read failed". Tried about 10 backups. Each XML file had the same checksum, but none would load back. Called TRENDnet tech support. Person kept insisting I must use PPPoE mode with login and password (to be provided by Centurylink) (Dynamic IP mode does not require login/password)! Took awhile to get him past that roadblock. Eventually I made some slight change to the configuration (or did a magic incantation unknowingly) and the backup XML file then created would successfully reload! But I have no idea why this should be. Have reported problem via helpdesk ticket, but no solution as yet.

Excellent VDSL2 modem/router
This modem/router works great with a Zhone dslam. VDSL speed is excellent. When you consider it has AC750 performance, it's a much better value than Zhone cpe's. I could not get it to work with a Planet dslam. Sadly, Trendnet tech support refused to help despite multiple tries. I wonder what dslam they use for testing.
