I was getting bites all over my legs over night for about a week. I moved to the couch in the living room to stop the bites and itching and slept there for almost two weeks trying to think of what I was going to do. I searched high and low for signs of bed bugs, but I couldn't find any. Just about when I was thinking I'd have to bit the bullet and buy a new bed, I found the Eco Defense Bed Bug Killer. I decided I'd pay the ~$19 plus shipping just to see if it works. If it works, then I don't have to spend the hundreds of dollars it would take to buy an all new bed. If it doesn't, I'm not out that much money. When I received it, I got right to work. I stripped down my bed and sprayed my mattress all over: top, bottom, and the sides. I sprayed the floor under my bed. I let all that dry then started putting my sheets and blankets back on, spraying each one after it was put on. After I was done, there was still about half of the bottle left. I went out to do my laundry because the smell was fairly strong and making my nose run and making me sneeze a lot. After I got back from doing laundry, the smell was gone and I wasn't sneezing or anything anymore. That night I went to sleep in my bed instead of my couch in what seemed like forever. I was really nervous because the bites I had gotten before were just starting to go away and I didn't want to get anymore. My mind played a lot of tricks on me that night. I constantly felt something crawling on my legs or biting me. I'd shine my cell phone light and wouldn't see anything. Just my imagination. I woke up the next morning and not a single new bite to be found. After two weeks of sleeping in my formerly infested bed, I have not gotten any new bites and all my old bites are almost fully healed. There are a lot of expensive options for treating your home for bed bugs, but I'd tell anyone to try this product first. It's a $20 cheaper than getting a mattress encasement, and hundreds of dollars cheaper than getting a new bed and/or getting your entire room sprayed by an exterminator. If you're desperate and trying to find a way to get rid of bed bugs, this is the product for you!

My bed bug story: I woke up, decided to clean my sheets, on my mattress encasement (thankfully I bought one when I first bought the mattress, always take care of your valuables and be preemptive), where my head rests when I'm sleeping, there were a ton of bed bugs and some other kind of bugs. I opened my window that week for a few days since the weather was super nice. The window sill had garnered a lot of "stuff." I wasn't sure what it was. Decided to wipe down the entire window sill. Some wind came in a couple of times, blew some of it inside, some on my bed. Didn't think much of it. Just wiped it off my bed and kept wiping the window. There is also a small gap between the window screen and the bottom of it where bugs can walk through. That's my educated guess on how all that happened. It's the only thing I did differently that week. I wash my sheets once every week, at worst, I'll miss a week but that's not common. After killing all the bugs on my bed with some cotton pads (I didn't want the blood on my encasement, obviously) and immediately putting all my sheets and comforter in the washing machine under hot water, I checked around my bed and noticed in one part of my room, next to my bed, where the carpet meets the wall, was infested with bed bugs. I grabbed a knife and for the most part, on it's side, I just smeared all the bed bugs. It was pretty bloody. Not fun, but very productive and very thorough. Threw the knife away. Not going to use that again. Then I doused my carpet with carpet cleaner (just the kind that makes your room smell nice), let it sit for a few minutes and started vacuum cleaning. I waited a few hours before bringing my sheets and comforter and pillow (I also had a pillow encasement on, thankfully, because that also had it's fair share of bugs on it too), back up from the dryer because I knew that any bed bugs left would come creeping up on the walls, and they did. So I killed those also. Then I put my bed back together. I also washed the mattress encasement. That's the first part of my story. The second part is what I did to prevent it from happening again. I'll make this one brief and bullet pointed. - I ordered a bed frame to get my bed off of the floor and give them less of a chance to reach my bed and create a breeding ground for them. - With the bed frame I ordered "bed bug interceptors." You put them underneath the stands of your frame and it traps any bed bugs trying to get to your bed. Very affordable and effective. - I checked in places that bed bugs would hide. For me this meant my dry erase board and surely enough, there were a few. My room also has ledges all throughout the room in the middle like a stripe. It looked like one of them built a nice little spot for itself. I really don't have too much on my walls. For most people this will mean picture frames, posters, wall shelves. - I checked all my wooden furniture. This is my dresser, desk, table, and small dresser, and got them all cleaned and wiped down. - I also moved every piece of furniture I have in my room 2-5 inches away from the walls. - I ordered outlet covers because apparently bed bugs can hide in the outlets when it's dangerous for them and when it's safe come back out. I believe that is everything I did leading up to this spray. Spray review: I really like it. It does have a smell but it's a nice pleasant smell, floral like. It shoots out in a line versus spray, which I also like because it made it significantly easier to spray all parts of the room where the carpet meets the wall, including in my closest. The main thing I like about is how nontoxic it is to people. All it says under precautions is that if it gets on your hands to just wash them. Most "cleaning" products will have a long list of warnings and precautions, not this one. It even tells you directly on the bottle you can spray your entire bed, sheets, and even clothing, not to soaked but just damp. As for the size of the bottle, one bottle per infested room. It's recommended you do this once every seven days just for two weeks, which is just enough per bottle, and keep doing it if you want to make sure and just be safe. My bed bug issue is gone at the moment and it's thanks to everything that I did. The bed bug spray isn't meant to be a miracle cure for your bed bug problems. You also have to do numerous other things. As you accumulate preventive measures, you'll see less and less until there isn't anymore.

Dangit! Someone tracked those darned creepy crawlies into my home. I was desperate to be rid of them -and fast. Thought the "kills on contact" claim was promotional bunk...until I tried it. Wow! That's it, I'm buying more just in case. Beware, even though the ingredients are natural, there is a strong smell when using more than a little. It takes a while to dissipate (few hours, I think), but this stuff does actually work.

Had two Times in the last year we had bed bug infestation about 8 months apart once the grandson brought them home after spending the night at a friends house.. Once I must have picked up somewhere? PANIC! THis stuff is amazing when used with CimaxA powder. Both times confined to one bed room his then mine. Followed the instructions for each product washed all blankets cloths drapes in the room in hot water took bed apart, turned off breaker switch took electric outlet and switch covers off sprayed everything including mattress and box springs heavy around baseboards. Let dry overnight in an empty room. Put the CimaxA powder all over the floor under all furniture let set, For two more nights. Vacumed all the open floors leaving it under bed and furniture then put the powder between mattress and box springs and left it. Then a week later repeated the whole thing again left the powder under all furniture and the bed and between mattress and box springs.. Worked perfect the first time. Did the same thing in the second bedroom 8 months later again 100% effective. Both times we caught the infestation with in a couple of weeks after noticing the bites and then finding and identifying the cause. I do not easily give good reviews, have not been paid for this review and have no interest in either company other than to try to help somebody with this miserable problem. Use both products per instructions and it works. NUFF SAID!

I feel for anyone that has bedbugs, these bugs are very hard to get rid of! I sprayed my son's bed thoroughly and let him sleep in my room until I they were all dead. The smell is a little strong but more pleasant than a lot of the other sprays. After about 3 days I haven't seen anymore living bedbugs. I will keep this review updated because these are very difficult to permanently get rid off.

I used this product after failed attempts by professional exterminators. It worked for me. I used it under the bed and on the bed. I used it in the morning and in the night. I used it in conjunction with a steam cleaner, that I bought on amazon, and it killed the bed bugs off. You must be diligent in fighting these bugs. You must spray, spray , spray and use the steam cleaner and you will get them gone! I went through two bottles of this spray. You may need more. I bought four bottles so I will have it handy. I does not stain or stink.

The shipment arrived on time, just as described and with no packaging defects. I sprayed like the packaging suggested but I wanted to wait a few weeks to see if it would do the job and I am very satisfied.

I had been using Johnson Raid bed bug and flea aerosol for months with only a direct contact results. After only one application of Eco Defense I was able to sleep un interrupted. The treatment leaves behind a kill residual that last for seven days at which time I will do a repeat application. I highly recommend this product ,it beats anything in the market today. when I think of the hundreds of dollars wasted I am relieved to have found something that finally works. would like to see an increase of the only 4% active ingredients however, .also in a larger than the 16oz. size. It takes one full bottle to treat a full mattress and box spring. Great product. excellent value,

I know there are many bad reviews on this product, but I can honestly say they are wrong!!! $5,000+ in on getting rid of bed bugs... I think I may have a bit of insight.I had an extreme case, as I did not realize I had an infestation till months into it. I hired a professional truly nolan (waste of $1,200) and still suffered this infestation, Months of steaming with a Vapormor bought on amazon, vacuuming, washing, drying, spraying, bombing, traps, covers, throwing out furniture, ect. Nothing seemed to help. Though the dermatatious earth helped slowly, they reproduced so quickly it seemed I would never defeat this pest. I even tried to get an illegal substance ddt with no luck :( After a lot of research I decided to try this product. IT FREAKING WORKS!!!! Caught all stages of bed bugs 5 to be exact (different sizes not stages), after I sprayed them I put them on a card to watch and see if they actually died, and they did noy stunned they were dead!!! 1 week in and I made another purchase to fully coat my house with eco defense, I finally see a light at the end of this horrid tunnel. Real mom, my son had a horrible reaction to their bites as he already suffers from eczema, the first time I sprayed this product he finally went a night without new bites!!! I will write another review in a few months to make sure I have informed you all rightfully, but as of right now this is an amazingly effective product!! Killsemdead not paid not an amazon affiliate just a mom telling the truth. sry for the long review, but it freaking works for real!!

I had recurring bed bug problems for 3 years. I tried 99% alcohol spray, mattress covers and traps on bed posts before and they almost eliminated the bugs. But some mistakes like moving beddings around the house made them survive and I was so frustrated. Then I found this product. I sprayed the whole room once then again a week later. So far no sign of them. The smell is strong while spraying but with windows open, it goes away by night. It’s easiest method to fight with bed bugs, I think. I’ll order some more to keep a bottle on hand.
