Best Packing Tape I've Ever Used

Being an active online seller, I go through a lot of packing tape and cannot afford to be without a good packing tape product on hand. I love this tape! It works all the time, every time. It is strong, crystal clear and adheres wonderfully to every surface on which I've applied it. Retrieving the edge of the tape from the roll, if it happens to pop off the dispenser, has never been a problem or difficult to manage. When I do need to retrieve the tape edge, it has never begun to peel or split. Every roll is dependably sticky, enabling it to always adhere beautifully. Considering the fantastic quality of this packing tape, it seems to me that it is sold at an unbelievably, reasonable price. This is my 4th package, re-purchased through Amazon, after buying my initial package at Wal-Mart. If the quality of this tape ever lessens or changes I'll be sure to update my review - but for the past 2 years I've been happily stuck with this tape - No pun intended.

EZ Start= A game changer!

I ship a LOT of boxes every day. I've tried many of the tapes on the market. I've found the EZ start tape to be the best for several reasons: 1.) It is the QUIETEST TAPE on the market. With me having 2 young children and a home office that's right next to their bedroom, having a quiet tape is quite important. Nearly every other tape you will find has a shrill shriek whenever you rip the tape of the spool. This is very quiet. 2.)It truly is "EZ start". The biggest pain for me is having the tape come down and have to use a fingernail to get it up again, and then you've ripped part of it, so you end up actually wasting a lot of tape. This even when laying down on the tape roll requires very little effort to pull the end of the tape up and begin to use. I would recommend using a tape dispenser with these rolls. It makes it so much easier to use. Plus a handy tip-One tape dispenser will last a LONG time. I've been using the same dispenser for nearly 6 months and have shipped 2,000+ boxes with it. To sum it up, sure the price of this tape is higher than a generic or even premium tape, but it's well worth the added expense for the luxury of a good tape. One quick thing to note- NO, this is not the "stickiest" tape out there. Depending upon what you are taping, if you need something really sticky-look elsewhere. For standard USPS boxes, the stickiness of this tape is fine and works well.

So quiet!

I package a lot of orders, sometimes with a baby sleeping nearby. This is pretty quiet! The only sound is of my squeaky tape dispenser (it’s old, I probably need a new one). I like that the tape is quiet and it adheres pretty well. Not as strong as some I’ve used, but have not had issues with it coming off either. I love it and will continue to buy as long as price doesn’t change.

Why buy 3M tape when you can buy this tape for less?

The tape works much better than 3M tape. There is no hassle or waste with the tape off the roll, sometimes with inconsistent or not enough or too much length. This tape comes off the roll smoothly and you can control it much better. Maybe there is a difference between this tape and 3M regarding strength, but for my purposes is fine. I think the manufacturer of this EZ tape should run a comparison test and publish the results.

No more tape agony when shipping packages!

I loved this tape the first time I used it, but I've waited to write this review until I had used it enough to confirm my first impression. Now, after shipping about a dozen boxes in recent months, the verdict is in: I love this tape! Unlike the tape I was using before, this tape is easy to work with. No more struggling to find the end of the tape and then struggling to get the entire width of the tape to pull up without tearing into jagged strips. Finding the end is easy, and pulling it up intact is even easier. As other reviewers have commented, be sure that after you use it, the end of the tape is under the little claws designed to hold it in place. If you don't, then the next time you need to use it, you'll have to go through the process of finding the end of the tape on the roll, but this is much, much easier than with other clear packing tape that I've used. In addition to tearing less easily than other tapes, it seems at least as strong, though I haven't compared strengths in any quantifiable way. The bottom line is that after using this for a few months, I'll never go back to standard clear packing tape. The time and frustration I save by using it more than justifies the cost.

The BEST packing tape ever

For years and years I bought either the Scotch brand of packing tape or generic ones, and for years and years I struggled and fought with the darn tape each time I tried to use it. (Don't you hate hunting for the end of the roll, or is that just me?) Not with Duck tape! It has a really strong adhesive, so that you just need one piece to hold a cardboard box shut. It also doesn't split or come apart on the end, so that you have a nice straight end piece every time you go to cut the tape. It also stays in place on the mounting area (I have no idea what it's called!) so that it easily feeds into the cutter. Yes, this six-pack comes with a lot of tape, but if you work in an office or are a heavy on-line shopper as I am (and prone to returning stuff via the mail or UPS), then it's really not as much as it would seem. (Of course, my husband might wish that I had just bought a single roll! ;-) )

Perfect SILENT, QUIET tape

What a godsend! I hate the screech of peeling tape, its like nails on a chalkboard for me or jackhammer construction outside. If you are the same way, this is the tape for you. Annoys the hell out of me when someone is peeling tape near me. Peels and sticks just as good as other brands if not better. Pairs perfectly with the Uline H-150 tape dispenser. Duck makes excellent products, thank you for the peace and quiet!

a great product and shipping

hello, we had been using the smaller duck brand sealing tape. the tape was good just because it somehow did not get loose from the brackets and go back to sticking invisibly on the big roll. so, we decided to purchase the larger roll for the amount of packaging and shipping we were doing. the same results, it sticks to the package well, when cutting, the edge is sharp and clean, and it does not stick to the whole roll. a great product and shipping

Quiet.

I can't believe I am reviewing tape but this stuff is that good. I do a lot of ebaying and was going to go with Scotch or 3M like I normally do but saw reviews for this. It is amazingly quiet and makes zero noise. Is that important? Probably not but if it costs the same or less than the big brands, why not enjoy some quiet taping? And because it is so smooth, it has never tore prematurely with a tape gun meaning I have never had to pick at it to get it started again. It sticks great and is thicker than cheaper tapes I have tried.

I'M BUYING THIS FOR EVERY MOVE EVER.

I would marry this tape if I could. Packing takes a lot less time when you can cut your box assembly time by 60-70%. Once you start the roll, it really means ONE HANDED. Got a toddler or a cat in one arm? No problem! Need a break for a refreshing adult beverage? STILL PACKING. Hold the flaps down with your forearm, tape it up, and keep going. Easy peasy. Love this stuff!
