Great Phone Charger

I've owned this identical model for my other car, and have used on many car trips with the family to keep our iPhone and my Galaxy S7 Edge charged while we use our phone's GPS. (BTW: My Galaxy S7 Android stock GPS responds better/quicker than an Apple iPhone 6s stock GPS.) I bought this new identical model because her and I are fighting and separated now, so I let her keep the dog, the car, and the Anker USB car charger! This unit works better than other's I've used which only keep enough juice in the phone to keep the GPS going but can't charge when GPS is running. This Anker unit, however, will keep GPS running and give a nice charge simultaneously...

Does NOT support Samsung fast charging.

When I searched for "anker dual qualcomm car charger," this is the first product that showed up in the search results. This is actually a great car charger, provided you are not expecting it to fast charge or quick charge. I mistakenly purchased this charger because several reviews stated it will fast charge a Samsung Note 5. The description said that it delivers the fastest possible charge, but does not support Qualcomm. However, I am not going to deduct stars based on my error of trusting that other people knew what they were talking about. I should know better than that! I am not going to go through the hassle of sending it back; I will just give it away to someone with an older phone that does not support fast charging. Before my next road trip, however, I will need a different car charger that is capable of fast charging. I also purchased several Anker USB cables for specialized use and they are working great. The company seems to make durable products.

Powerful!

Ive been using a Griffin ( don't know amps), but it hasn't been performing well and my Galaxy S4 is a battery hog! I hate that phone. But, Wirecutter.com ranked this as their top pick. For $9, it's a great value. In 10 minutes battery jumper 20% ! I haven't fully charge my phone with it yet, but I can tell this will really help a lot ! I also use an Anker charging cable and have been very happy with all of their products.

UPDATED August 22, 2018: Bottom Port Draining Power, Not Charging. Top Port Very Fast

UPDATE: Anker contacted me almost immediately after I posted this review. In two days I had a new Car Charger, and so far it is working perfectly. I cannot recommend Anker products highly enough. Everything we have purchased fro Anker has been of excellent quality, and this one unit that had a problem was promptly replaced with excellent customer service help. Original Review: This charger, along with 1/2 dozen Anker cords, has been amazing. I have 2 of the chargers. However yesterday my daughter told me the charger was draining her battery on the lower port. I knew she couldn't be correct, so today I plugged in my phone at 40%. It dropped immediately to 39%. No worries, the lightening bolt showed it was charging. Then the app I was loading kept resetting. Next I noticed the power was 38%, then 37. What?? I switched the power cord into the upper port and opened my Amazon app to see the reviews. It was interesting to see someone else felt it was resetting their phone or an app as well. It's been about 7 minutes and my phone has gone from 37 to 48% on that time using the top port. I am sure Anker will make it good, but I wanted to share this as a review in case someone else experiences the same thing. Overall I love Anker products and I will continue to buy them without question, but I expect both ports to charge. I can't say if this occurred before or if it is a new issue. Perhaps we've only used the top charger successfully, because I know we've had two phones plugged in many times.

NOW COMPATIBLE WITH BOTH IPHONE 8 PLUS and IPHONE X

As soon as I connected my iPhone 8 Plus, a message is displayed on my iPhone informing me that the charger is a non-Apple certified device and it's not functional in charging my iPhone. A waste of money for me. *****PLEASE SEE EDITED REVIEW BELOW***** The seller really wanted to make my purchase right. After contacting me to suggest I try a different Lightning charging cable and to obtain more information regarding the error message on my iPhone, I followed the directions and forwarded a screen shot from my iPhone to show that it was not charging while connected to the charging adapter and also sent a picture of the adapter plugged into my car. After receiving the pictures I submitted, the seller offered to send me a replacement and upgraded charging adapter. Upon receipt, I tried the new adapter and it worked fine with both my iPhone 8 Plus as well as the new iPhone X. This was an example of great customer service. I really appreciated the communication from the seller to do everything possible to make the transaction right for me. I now have a great product and I expect to make future purchases from this seller. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Handy, fast charger.

I already had another car charger, but I had won a discount coupon so I figured it couldn't hurt to try this one out - I can say I'm pleasantly surprised. First off, and least important - aesthetics. It's smooth and shiny with a matte face - prominent "Anker" branding. Overall, it looks pretty nice. I think the red ring around the faceplate looks pretty slick. I use this in my car (obviously) to drive a bluetooth receiver kit and to charge my phone when I need a bit of juice and it hasn't disappointed. It's a bit smaller than the one I replaced, which is nice, and it charges my Nexus 5 as fast as a wall plug - much faster than the charger I replaced. Not much more I can say, really. It charges, it charges well, and it looks slick doing it. I'm really happy with it.

01/22/2019 EDITED: DUE TO REPLACEMENT PRODUCT THAT DOES QUICK CHARGE 3.0 The Anker 24W dual USB charger will charge 2 phones at the same time just as mentioned. What it will not due is charge any Samsung device at Fast Charging. Won't charge my Samsung Note 5, S9+ and S9 at Fast Charge; requires Quick Charge 3.0 Anker was quick to send me the correct item, Anker 39W Dual USB Car Charger with Quick Charge 3.0, as their description mentions Note 5, which is a Fast Charge phone. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a waste of money; can't return, as it is a NON-RETURNABLE ITEM, yet I couldn't find out where it said so. It will not charge our Samsung Note 5, S9+ and S9 as Fast Charge; the ONLY reason I bought it. Tried the same cables I have on my other Aukey 3.0 charger, which it always works. I guess wanted to try another brand, cheaper price, but you get what you pay for, a non-returnable item, wasted money. I would had enjoyed a bitter beer more!

Anker 24W Dual USB Car Charger, PowerDrive 2 for iPhone 7 / 6s / Plus, iPad Pro / Air 2 / mini, Galaxy S7 / S6 / Edge / Plus, Note 5 / 4, LG, Nexus, HTC and More The product was as described and it arrived as promised. So far it is working as expected. The LED light is nice but it puts out a lot of light for something that small. You may need to rotate it in the socket if the light hits your eyes. I did not contact their customer support, but I am impressed with them. They want you to contact them immediately if there was a problem with the order or product. And they followed up via email to make sure everything was as expected. I appreciate that for something I paid less than $10 for. I will look for their products in the future when the need arises and recommend them to others.

'Just a charger' - and SO much more!!

This thing is solid!!! Packed in a really nice box. Surprised me. I checked a big box store and they had cheesy little single port chargers (2.1 amp) for $14.99. These are a great deal not only because of price but they appear to be solidly built!! They feel 'hefty' in the hand and I line them. You be contact springs that hold it in place in the outlet are solid, thick, and really keep the charger 'in place'. For the price, they cannot be beat. For the construction, they're the best I've seen or handled. Performance?? Well, they get my cell phone charged in the car!!!! Lol

Great features/quality/product!

Update: 2/7/28 - ***Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ Note owners- won't fast charge your phone, it tells you in description not Qualcom Fast Charge compatible. I missed it before buying my 2nd one for my new S8.*** Ordered my 1st one in Sept. 2017, love it so much got this one for my work vehicle. Has a high quality feel, is smaller than most 2 port chargers, and charges my Samsung S8 at normal speed (this is not QualCom fast charge compatible as it states) and iPad (work) at high speed. Will continue to by this or newer models for other vehicles. Anker always has nice packaging and so far has been just as advertised! Very happy Anker customer!
