I purchased my first Brightech floor lamp for an elderly parent with failing eyesight about 2½ years ago. The unit was used daily, all day long, and we were very happy with it. Based on the performance of the initial purchase, I purchased two more Brightech products; a second floor lamp and a clamp-on desk lamp, both of which have performed exceptionally well. And the then came the challenge. The first, older, unit failed with a problem that couldn’t be resolved by powering off/on, depressing/holding the on/off button, using a different outlet or any other machination I could think to perform; it was broken and could not be used further. As it was still in warranty, I called Brightech’s 800# and spoke with a very pleasant young lady who listened attentively, gathered the needed information and agreed that, yes, the product had failed and gave me instructions on next steps which was to file a warranty claim on their website. I did as requested, attaching a picture that appears to be optional but it is required. Within 24-hours I received a mail from Andrew who asked a couple of confirming questions to which I responded by return mail and, in a second mail, promised to get back to me shortly. When he did get back to me Andrew confirmed that my address on the original order was correct and they sent me a new unit. When products perform as advertised, that’s expected; when they don’t and the organization’s customer service performs admirably as well, that is as unusual as it is unexpected. In summary, I give Brightech 5-stars not just for how their products perform, but frankly how they perform when one of their products fail. Well done, Brightech customer service.

Sweet Mother of Bees, this is the light of brightness. I had no idea it would be as bright as it is, it's like having the sun next to my desk. I was using another brand of light fixture that used CFL bulbs. It was OK, one of those "this light is exactly like daylight from the sun" lamps. It was fine, but then the bulb burned out. So when I ordered a replacement I decided to also take the plunge into LED with this lamp because ordering replacement bulbs for anything that isn't a standard lightbulb is a pain. Make sure the number is right, the size is right, the wattage is right, etc. Forget it...switch to LED! The packaging is compact. I couldn't believe the lamp I ordered would fit in that box but it did, no problem. Putting it together is easy, the instructions are clear. The only improvement I would suggest is that the three metal tubes should be labeled so you know which one is the upper, middle, and lower tubes referenced by the assembly instructions. But take your time, follow the instructions and you should have no problem getting the tubes in the right order and the lamp assembled. WOW IT IS BRIGHT! I turned it on and it was BOOM! Very, very bright. Way brighter than the other "just like sunlight" light that I had. I'm not complaining, I'm just describing so that others who read this are aware of what they will be getting. The other thing I like is the power plug. It is an "wall wart" adapter style but because the LED takes less electrical current the plug and cable is much smaller and lighter. Very nice...the CFL lamp I was using had a huge wall adapter that was heavy and clumsy to carry around. The LED lamp does not have this issue. All in all I am very happy with this lamp. It was no problem for me to assemble it, it is very bright, it uses LED so no replacement bulbs, and the electrical cable and adapter are small and lightweight.

I would give this lamp ten stars if I could. It is the best product I have purchased in years. It is well made and easy to assemble. It consists of a stand made up of three pipes that screw into each other, into the base, and into the goose neck at the top. The power line goes through this pipe which you feed through each of the three pipes as you assemble them. An electrical connection is made with a clip plug at the bottom which will be inside the base. The transformer has a fairly long wire which plugs into this wire on the outside of the lamp making it possible to unplug it there if needed. The goose neck makes it easy to set the light to aim anywhere you wish. It has a lighted button just below the lamp head which functions both as an on-off switch and the method of setting the brightness of the LED lamp. Push and release turns the lamp on or off. When it is lit, holding the button in moves the brightness up and down. You simply stop by releasing the button to set the brightness which it keeps until it is adjusted again. The brightest setting will light up the whole room and the weakest down to a night light. There is no ability to change the color of the light. The lamp is quite attractive and useful for chairs which are situated where table lamps or the like would be unhandy. The base is quite heavy and holds the tall lamp very well with no tipping over. I recommend this lamp highly for anyone who wishes an extremely good floor lamp.

I have written over 600 reviews of books, but until now I have written only one product review. I just don’t write reviews for products unless I find something truly spectacular., and that word is as good as any to describe the Brightech Litespan LED Bright Reading and Craft Floor Lamp . There are at least five reasons to purchase this lamp, so let me start with the most important. The LED fixture gives great light for reading (or for hobby or close up project work), bright and crisp. It is particularly helpful to those of us who wear glasses, or who have had some vision loss. It is so helpful to me that it actually enhanced my reading experience. I feel it is much better and more enjoyable than reading in fluorescent or incandescent light. Secondly, LED light consumes a lot less energy, so my electric bill is less and I am helping the environment. Thirdly, LED bulbs last a lot longer, like years and years. Fourth, after reading #3, you might be thinking “yes, but they’re more expensive”. True for individual bulbs for ceiling lights etc. but this LED floor lamp is in the ballpark of other reading floor lamps I’ve bought in the past. I didn’t do any comparative shopping, so I can’t quote you exact numbers. Fifth, the assembly for this lamp was a piece of cake – the instructions are simple and the pieces fit like a glove. Connecting the wire in the pole to the one in the base is a snap, idiot-proof. Would I buy this lamp again? Yes, yes, yes! I had sworn off these “bright” or “sunny” lamps because my previous experience with the old four pack fluorescent like fixture was not good. I bought some from Amazon, some from Odd Lot. The experience was pretty much the same – the lamps would last a year, then nada. I bought replacement bulb packs and they were not easy to install. And they never seemed to work. So I bought new floor lamps and went through the same thing a year later. Finally someone told me it wasn’t the bulb, it was a transformer gizmo wired inside. So I stopped buying new floor lamps until I saw the Brightech on Amazon recently. The Brightech lamp comes with a three year warranty. That’s a company showing confidence in their product. I’ve bought two already, one upstairs, one downstairs and I will buy some for other rooms soon.

WOW, what a great find on Amazon. Tried to match an older brass colored similar lamp that is fluorescent, so my wife could also have a reading lamp. Not to be found...but up popped this newer model with LED lighting and intensity control in a brown finish. It matches our furniture and blends in rather than standing out in brassy contrast. Great adjustable reading light at a fantastic price and the quality is very good. I can't say enough abut how pleased we are with our matched pair of lamps looking over our shoulders as we comfortably read in our recliners. 3/1/17 - adding a foot note: This lamp was such a hit at home and when my son-in-law saw it, he said, I need one of those. So as a surprise we ordered and sent him one. Well, now he has another family member who wants one, someone we have a hard time finding gifts for...so we will be ordering one more as a gift. Who ever thought that a simple reading lamp would become a choice gift item? Not us but that is what has happened. Can't say enough good things for this lamp and we are now unofficial ambassadors for Brightech and happy to recommend their products.

I am not a business, Lauren - I am an 80 year-old woman ;-) The Brightech Lifespam LED arrived in "pieces", so I went to a lamp repairman, and had him put it together for me. It is now in my livingroom by my "reading chair", having replaced the one that used to be there but "died" and my repairman couldn't fix it. He also told me they didn't make them any more, so I was delighted when I found them on Amazon.com!!! It arrived in three days! Other than the color (I ordered a brown one instead of creme color) and the light, it was exactly like my previous (and current one - I had two) lamp. One dfference is the light itself! This lamp has a protective cover over the bulb, so I don't know if the bulb is the same as my original ones. It is as bright for reading as my other one but not as "harsh" to the eyes when you look directly "up" at the bulb when you are sitting and using it to read. Attached are pictures of my two Brightspan Lifespan LED chairs!

We bought this for behind my wife's chair so she could knit/crochet/tat while I watched TV and the light would not bother me. She LOVES this light. She requested one (a brand name I cannot remember) but I talked her into this cheaper (by price) Lightspan and as I said she loves it, so much so we were just discussing yesterday getting one for her sewing/craft room. This light is EXACTLY as advertised and though arrived unassembled it was easy to set up; less than about 5 minutes. it is sturdy with a heavy base so it cannot be knocked over. The light is bright with different brightness settings by holding the switch in. In addition, the light is daylight which for my wife's purpose nothing less will do. I HIGHLY recommend this lamp and expect to buy another soon.

I purchased this light for my business!! And I love it!! Very easy to assemble and great lighting for my purpose..

I first purchased this lamp in Nov 2017, it was working great until it died a week ago. Not sure why because I don't use it long and always turned it off when done using. After a few emails with customer service Brea, she suspected it's static. Since my purchase is still within 3-year warranty, Brightech sent me a brand new lamp. I'm now happily using the new lamp, thanks to Brightech.

Very easy to assemble. 3 post sections look identical but here's how you tell them apart quickly: Two sections have male threads on them; the one with a hole on the side is the bottom. The top one does not have a male thread The middle one probably could be eliminated if you want the lamp shorter (I haven't actually tried this.) Tip: The post sections screw together easily with fingertip pressure. If you have any trouble connecting them, start over. Never force! Press sections together lightly and turn them backwards (counter clockwise) up to one turn until you feel a little click. This will be the thread ends slipping down to engage. Then turn clockwise gently and they will go together like a charm. Remember this technique next time you have a reluctant-thread problem! Performance-wise, this lamp is excellent. It is more than bright enough, and its daylight color is perfect for close work. Details appear sharply defined and colors are much more easily distinguished than with "soft white" (2700-3000K) light. It dims beautifully as needed. My wife has one in her office and I have one in our home theater, where it's perfect for reading a book while listening to music. I haven't tried one in a bedroom but the illuminated switch is less obtrusive at night than those horrible blue pilot lights, so I would think it wouldn't be a huge problem for me. A dab of nail polish, electrical tape, or a black marker will fix if it's too bright at night. I do find the amber light to be useful when coming into a dark room, to see where the switch is. But the feature I like the best is that the lamp is well weighted and balanced without being exceptionally heavy. Its flexible neck is easy to adjust and there is no position in which it tips over like our previous (horrible) floor lamp did.
