Outstanding mount. Purchased after reviewing dozens of choices at all price points. This mount went up easily and customer support is outstanding. 15 degree tilt provides more then enough flexibility. This mount is a winner. Trusted manufacturer. 2.5" clearance between wall and TV allows plenty of space to accommodate cables, plugs, etc. Much better then the 1" or 1.5 " space offered by some. The only downside is the width of the back plate. It certainly could be wider to better handle the expanse of 16" center studs in some installation situations which are not typical or may not be 16" on center, as in over some fireplaces due to exhaust pipes etc. We mounted my unit over a gas fireplace which was framed in behind drywall. This section, in the center, did not have a center stud running up to the peak of the ceiling at that point of installation. Thus our studs at point of install were 32" apart at center point. Bear in mind the back plate to this particular unit is only 25.6 inches wide. We were able to hit two studs in my installation only after moving the frame over to the extreme right and then hoping we could still center the supports back to the left for balanced installation. We made it but barely. My son has a competitors unit which was wider and allowed him to better align his unit in the center over his fireplace and still hit the required two studs easily. Keep this in mind when ordering and plan accordingly. Aside from that, this was a strong, inexpensive, compact unit suitable for most installs. For any "a-typical" installs, consider a unit with a wider back plate.

The Pros: - Instructions were good with lots of detailed instructions - There were no missing parts (all packaged in sealed bags attached together) - Wide range of mounting holes from 16" to 24' - Bracket material pretty thick and well thought out when it comes to attaching to wall mount. Cons - The only 'con' in my installation was the bolts that mount the TV to the brackets were either too long or too short for my LG TV. I understand that I could use shims or larger 'standoffs' and then just use the longer bolts, but decieded to purchase the correct length of bolts instead. Nothing wrong with using the longer bolts with shims/stand-offs. - This is not a fault of EchoGear, but I wish they would make the mount a 'little' wider to support studs that are not 24" on center (i.e., 24 .75"). Not an EchoGear fault but this small change would help circumvent 'sloppy' stud placement by builders.

Pro: Great mount for the price. Don't overspend for the same quality you can get with this one! Very happy with the packing. Delivered very well protected. I have a 55 inch TV and this holds great! It was easy to assemble and mount. I had to return my 1st mount (different from this one) because it didn't reach over to the next beam. NOTE: if mounting yourself I would suggest measuring the distance between beams so that you purchase a suitable mount. Con: the directions for this beam instruct to tighten the tilting bolts before mounting the tv. Once mounted though, I expected to be able to adjust the tilt as I please. Well I wasn't able to tilt it so I went back to the directions and notice in fine print it says in order to adjust the tilt the tv will have to be removed in order to turn the bolts. Wasn't happy about that and I don't see any customer wanting to remove a 55 in tv just to tilt it. I think the company should include some sort of handle/lever so the tv can be tilted as one pleases. Other than the con I'm very happy with the result and was proud that I was able mount my tv without hiring a service.

Holds up my 60" inch Sony tv. No problem. Just realize that your tv will not tilt left or right. Mounted on marble fireplace.

I got this bracket to wall-hang a 60" plasma TV that weighs about 75 pounds. It's a solid, well-built bracket that's easy to install and gives you the option to tilt forward up to about 15 degrees. The design offers plenty of mounting options for just about any style of flat-screen TV and leaves about 2.5" of space between the wall and back of the TV for plugs and cables to hide. I had looked at other, more expensive brackets, but came back to this one based on other reviews and the price of about $35. I had checked in some big-box retailers and found inferior brackets for almost twice the price. I had a professional installation done as this is a two-person job no matter your expertise level due to the weight and bulk of the TV. The installer said he was also impressed with the quality and ease of installation. My TV is sort of my pride and joy (plasmas are rapidly becoming extinct) and I'm glad I chose the Echo Gear bracket to support it. I believe the TV is safe and sound in its new home and I'd happily recommend this bracket.

I'm not much for leaving reviews of the stuff I buy on Amazon (or any other website for that matter), but when I buy something that does everything it says it will do - AND MORE - I have to share. I was about to hit "BUY" on another wall mount, but I thought I could find something better. Boy did I. This item was exactly as described, very simple to install, and works like a champ. The instructions could not be any clearer. The bolts were individually packaged and labeled. The packaging was superb. I am a homeowner with very average skills, but I was able to assemble this and mount to the wall in about 30 minutes. And part of that time was me triple-checking all of my measurements before I started drilling pilot holes into the studs in my family room. I did it right the first time and the results are extraordinary. This is a great product and was priced about 50% less than another wall mount that a local A/V company installed for us last year. Not sure this is an easy job, but this ECHOGEAR mount made it a cinch. Thank you to the people who brought this to market and made the instructions to easy to follow.

Fantastic mount for my Samsung 65" LED. It is very low profile so I would recommend mounting it tilted up as much as possible so that the bottom two screws are accessible (see attached photo), otherwise you might not be able to fit your hand in to tighten them. Once those are tightened, it can be tilted back to the desired position.

I have had to install several wall mounts over the past could of years and this is a top notch unit. Potentially better than any other I have put up. That said, here are my suggestions for making it better/easier. 1. A friend to lift the TV. (I did a 50" myself because (plus again) you can hang it on the hook and then tighten it. (good design) 2. Look at the unit and recognize you can use "any" of those holes. This is not clear in the instructions but it is big enough to fit off set across two studs and still be centered on the wall. (even better design) 3. A wrench and ratchet make it go much easier/faster. Lugs in a wall take a bit to put in and you will be thankful Finally - choose the location recognizing it can tilt but not pull out. This is a great design for an exercise area, or room above the fireplace, etc. This style mounts best above the center line of the room (and then tilt down slightly) Exceptional quality.

Used this to mount my ginormous LG 55" (55LH90). It's a 6 year old 80 pound back-lit beast, very bulky for an LED set. This mount is rated for 125 lbs but tested for 500 lbs, so I had confidence in going through with this. Just for my own piece of mind, I tried grabbing it and hanging from the mount myself after putting it on the wall and before hanging the TV. I do *not* suggest trying this, fyi, as a person's weight distribution and leverage against the mount is different from a TV's. But for what it's worth, it felt rock-solid. Toughest part is, as with anything like this, finding the wall studs and their center. I have an electric stud finder and got mixed readings, making this a chore, but that's obviously not a knock on this mount. It *is* important to get close to stud centers, though, as the bolts that anchor this mount are pretty large. It would also be helpful if it came with a cardboard template of the mount to make all that pre-work of marking its spot on the wall easier. Once all that is done, putting the brackets on the TV is simple (use your TV manual to figure out the proper screw size...many are included to accommodate). Then, just set the tilt angle of the brackets. Hanging it is laughably simple, so removing it to reset the angle is pretty easy. It took 2 people with my TV but it only took seconds. There are screws on the bottom of the brackets that need to be tightened in order to help maintain the TV's position, and they can be hard to reach. However, a long screw driver is all you need, and not much leverage is necessary as they don't have to be terribly tight. All in all I spent 90% of my time just figuring out the studs and hanging location. Actual installation was a breeze.

Great product! Was easy to assemble and super easy to install. It is able to fit in 16" or 24" spaced studs which is nice as it allowed me to place the unit right where I wanted it and I could slide the TV a bit bc I have an 50" plasma. That TV weighs almost 80 pounds and the wall mount handled it with no problem. NOTE: If you are mounting with the hardware to keep it as close to the wall as possible...make sure you turn the knob tight that holds the tilt function on each side. You cannot do it once it sits on the mount as it sits too tight and I even have small hands! Great product, great price!
