I purchased some miniature wooden chalkboard signs, but as others warned it was just painted wood and not actually chalkboard material. I was able to make a stencil and cut pieces of this contact paper to size then apply it to the wood. I was able to write on the surface with a chalk pen and clean it entirely using chalkboard cleaning spray.

The paper is wonderful. I have used it for wine labels, chore boards, grocery lists, schedules and much more. the marker broke down in just a few uses. the chisel tip is now soft and has the fuzziness to it. I bought other markers to use because of this. overall the paper is awesome!

I love this. I started looking to make my own chalkboard for the kitchen. I stumbled on this vinyl and thought I'd give it a try. I love it. It sticks so easy. I even covered one of my cabinets in the kitchen with it and it stuck so perfectly. Have recommended to friends and will purchase more for future projects.

We used this on the kids Thanksgiving table as a runner this year! We have a 6 ft white plastic folding table and ran it down the middle. The kids added comments and season greetings and played tic-tac-toe. The contact paper went on easily (I tried lifting and repositioning-worked fine) stayed in place without curling or rolling throughout; the chalk stays in place-even if you brush or lightly rub it with your hand-as long as water isn't applied. We left the table runner on the table for 5 days before removing it to test the liquid chalk and the contact removal. VersaChalk nailed it! Their chalk drawings wipe away cleanly without shadows (and did not stain the white table top) and the contact paper removes even easier than it applied! Amazing! I still have some contact paper left and plan to make some labels for my pantry jars. I wonder if this would work as a growth chart on the inside of a closet door????? Sounds like a distinct possibility! ;-)

We purchased this combo back in February this year (roughly 5 months ago). Since it's arrival we have been using the chalkboard contact paper and have been pleased with it. It adhered to our fridge nicely, has not come off or peeled at the edges, it has stayed put. Our only qualm was that the bonus chalk marker was dead on arrival. From the moment we opened it from it's individual plastic wrap, it was not working. We used normal chalk we bought our son a while ago to write on the contact paper. Last week I came on here to write a review for this product. On a whim, I decided to contact Versachalk via email first to inform them of our doa marker. I conversed with Nori who sent out a replacement free of charge. Last night the replacement white chalk marker arrived, along with a bonus purple one (thanks Nori!). Initially, both of these seemed to have the same issue as the first. We could not get them to work. We are completely green when it comes to chalk markers in our home. After my husband fiddled with the markers for a bit, he realized you have to take the tip out (yellow part you write with), put it back in the opposite direction so it can "soak" the chalk ink, then pull it back out and write with the soaked tip. This worked on both markers and they write so beautifully now. While it's not easy to rub off the chalk ink with our fingers like we did with the other chalk, we found that wiping the chalkboard paper with a paper towel wet with merely water takes the chalk ink completely off. We then use a dry paper towel to wipe off any wetness on the chalkboard paper, and it's now ready for more writing via chalk marker! Overall, we are very happy with the chalkboard paper as well as the chalk markers made by this company. We are furthermore thoroughly pleased with their exceptional customer service as well.

This stuff is amazing! We put in on wrong at first so it bubbled photo #1 but halfway down we smoothed from the middle out to sides with a hard black bill holder from our restaurant see third photo and that part stayed perfect see photo #2 So if anyone complains about peeling it was incorrect application not the product. We are buying another one now we know what we are doing:) Also chalk comes off no problem with water and dish cloth.

Your chalkboard contact paper and markers saved the day for us. Seems we forgot to order the signs for our son’s wedding and in the last minute a relative gave us all the chalkboard A frame signs from theirs. We simply covered them all over with the chalkboard contact paper and got creative with the pens and voila...we had more compliments and you saved the day for us. Thank you.

Wanted something for pantry door, and this is the only product of its kind I could find that would accommodate the length (without having seams visible). Received it...tried the liquid marker it came with as well as regular chalk. Both wrote smoothly. Won't wipe off dry, used a minimally damp paper towel and worked very well (suggest cloth bc paper towl left debris). I did notice that with the liquid chalk, the erased lettering was still slightly visible/glistening in certain angles. Either way both work nicely. Awesome that unlike chalkboard paint, this is ready to go, no curing required, inexpensive, and easily replaceable if wears. It is jet black, not grey/slate like some other chalk paper seen online. Have yet to apply to door (planning over a steel panel to make it a magnetic chalkboard). Will provide update soon.

Arrived quickly and exactly as described. However don't plan on being able to easily erase any errors when you write with chalkboard markers

Exactly as described! I was so impressed that I could put it you on my matte painted walls and doors and it came down without a trace. I used it for a party to label the bathroom and coat closet and also to put a sign on the wall with a few notes to the guests. They looked great! I found that if you cut it the shape you want, then peel the paper backing off just the top and stick the top to the wall, then pull the paper backing down slowly, it will very nicely and smoothly stick the vinyl to the wall. So so easy!
