Well I am not much of a reviewer but this time I wanted to write something about this radio. I got it very fast and since I couldn't install it immediately I decided I was going to test it at home with a speaker box I had and an external power supply. The speakers used in this test where 2 pioneer 6x9 4 way 350W speakers, and the power supply provides 13.8V at 22 amps (it doesn't draw that much current for sure). Well let me tell you that this little radio can move the speakers very well, and it is loud. I measured the sound pressure originated at 3ft with a white noise file and it measured 88db, if I put a sound track on the peak was at 90db at 3ft. Now for me that is more than enough power. Now the units gets hot in very little time when you push it near the max volume, and since the back is all sealed up, and the cover is plastic, I hope that overheating doesn't start to be a problem. Operation is very easy and BT pairing is as easy as it gets. I hope to install it on the boat soon enough and if it works as good as it did home I am sure that this is a winner.

I have to agree with the other reviews about the unit getting warm, but it has not affected it in any way so far. I wanted a compact unit without a useless CD player and this was the perfect stereo for my needs. I use this unit quite often and listen to FM radio, songs from a USB stick and use the audio to play sound from the RV television. I am sure the speakers could be upgraded and get even better sound, but these are fine for me. I wish it had a remote control. Not really a complaint, but it would be a nice feature.

Of course the two speakers are not the hype, but I use it for my sailboat and therefore its not important how loud they are, I dont use it to make party, but for good music or audiobooks. Best thing is that the consumption (with the two original speakers) isnt so high as I expected. I think its normaly less than an amp. Installation was easy and done in 25 minutes.

Fantastic little unit. I wanted a simple marine unit in my Jeep build and this fits the bill perfectly. Painless Bluetooth pairing right out of the box. Everything you need in a compact package.

Quality unit. Wonderful, clear sound. Plenty of power. When I first hooked it up it would not turn on. I called the BOSS customer service and they told me that both the red and yellow wires must be connected to +12V (nominal) to work. First I thought there was an error in the wiring diagram, but double checked and it was my mistake. I had not planned on using an accessory switch, just on main kill switch, so I ignored the accessory wire (red). But some clever engineers at BOSS included a switching system to protect the boat battery. Hooked both red and yellow to 12 volts and viola music to my ears. Also there is a very classy customer service, truly helpful. Thank you BOSS.

I bought this and another pair of Boss 6.5’s as a cheap marine grade stereo for my UTV. I am happy with my purchase! Loud enough to enjoy music over running engine and others music once tuned with the eq. Not going to win any stereo competitions but for less than $150 it blows away the alternative options of a factory radio or aftermarket Bluetooth sound bars that are way over priced. I would purchase again!

I was a little skeptic about ordering this; but WOW! Glad I did now. I’m using this on my motorcycle, and using two 5.5 inch Rockford Fosgate speakers, and the sound is great! The tuner doesn’t seem to work very good, but I’m only using a wire antenna. I’m primarily interested in the Bluetooth anyway. Awesome unit!

I installed the MGR350B in the dash of my Ranger bass boat where I removed an inoperable round Lowrance Depth Flasher. It fit perfectly in the hole without any additional cutting. I used 8 gauge Boss amp wire kit and connected it to a small Sony Xplod 250w two channel amp and used 2 Boss three way 6x9's in carpeted boxed resting on the floor under the 2 steering/passenger consoles. This head unit's Bluetooth connects with my Samsung note 8 phone faster than any other device I have ever paired with it. There is plenty of full range sound and way more volume than I need. I feel I could easily connect 2 more speakers to this radio and amp combo and it would sound even better, but there is no need to, the pair of 6x9's are excellent. I have used boss speakers in 3 boats now and they all performed well. I recommend this radio if you need a round one. This is the first vehicle radio I have ever installed myself and the instructions were good, but I also watched a few YT videos to increase my knowledge before hand.

Was really worried about this product as Boss products have been really bad (for me personally) in the past. I normally stick with the big name brand products, but I was building a speaker cooler and wanted something decently/cheaply priced in case I screwed something up. Well I got it installed and with a lawn mower battery the river was grooving the next day. Got plenty of compliments on the sound quality and the awesomeness of a speaker cooler. Very impressed with this product for the price. Bluetooth works great and speakers sound even better.

This unit has been installed in my 17" open center console for about 5 weeks with no issues. It's been rained on and sprayed with a garden hose numerous times without fogging. Installation was effortless using the existing speedometer opening although wiring for my boat, which spends much of it's time with the ignition off, required a separate switch for the ignition lead. It has logged about 20 hours of hi volume output and performed flawlessly. BT pairing is simple and range is not an issue on my small boat. I've never been a fan of powering speakers from a head unit as some reviewers have done, relying instead on a stereo amplifier to drive two 6.5" speakers. I think 60x4 is a bit optimistic for a unit of this size and price and is likely the cause for the heat problem some have suffered. For a head unit well under $100 it has exceeded my expectations and looks right at home next to my analog tachometer.
