This product has excellent rating. The trial allows a try before you buy - how is that not a bargain.

We bought the full version of this a few years ago and it was a hit with a then-8-year-old. He learned to type with correct form and that has been a big help ever since. Now it is anothrr childs turn to learn. I'm reviewing the free version because the purchase was made with another family members account and we had forgotten, so I installed this version to get our 9 year old started. - The instruction is very orderly and logical, starting from the home-position keys and gradually introducing keys farther from home. - The use of both short-term and long-term gpals keep the kids engaged. - Each exercise is about the right length to prevent boredom in the young ones. - Performance feedback during and after each exercise or game is immediate and clear. - Typing games are just active enough to make them interesting without becoming distracting. - Child-selectable background music. - Guiding characters are cute and fortunately not as cloying ad Dora the Annoyer. - Though the characters appeal to youth, they convey information in a direct, clear and mature manner. Finally, customer service was excellent. Once I found our paid full dowloaf, I couldn't get it to activate by installing over the free trial. I also didn't want to try a fresh install for fear of losing the child's progress. - Customer service acknowledged my contact immedately. - Within 24 hours they provided me with a solution. While the software itself has not changed in the many years since we first bought it, I think that's fine. It is a very nice product that works well. Software updates for the sake of churning versions always bothered me with other products. One update I would recommend is just to allow the graphics to scale smoothly up to the higher resolutions of newer computers or laptops so it fills the whole screen. But it's a minor point and not really necessary for us.
