I got this for my grandson on his one year birthday. He loves it, and caught on quickly how to push the balls through the top of the truck's cab, which then go into the dump bed. The toy will count the balls as you put them in. The biggest problem with this toy is keeping track of the balls, which tend to roll away and get lost under the furniture. I guess they could solve this by making the balls lumpy as with another toy I bought for his three year old brother. (The WolVol 3-in-1 Construction Bulldozer...).

Received this a day earlier than expected. 9+ mo old grandson was captivated by it immediately (he loved the Amazon box, too LOL). He is too young to know how to pop the rocks into the bed of the dump truck but he puts them in the hole, turns it over and spins the wheels -- he loves wheels. If I pop the rocks in, he pulls the bed back by hand to get them out -- he doesn't know how to use the lever. He can't walk so he can't pull the truck by the string but he laughs when I pull it and crawls after it. Love VTech because of the bells and whistles of sound and lights. We are such an electronic world and I like buttons to press for learning activities. Grandson has many VTech toys. It's great to start babies out young (many he got months ago) because they can grow into the toys and go back to them. He has the laptop, remote control, sit to stand (all time favortie - love love love this one), Iphone, etc. Yes, the "rocks" have gone under the couch a few times but that's OK - I fish them out. Today I put some of his other little toys in the back of the dump truck with the rocks. The Vroom Vroom sound is fun and I do that, too. I searched Amazon for a truck and decided on this one and am very happy with it. It is sturdy and something he will play with for a long time.

It was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. At Christmas, he will be 9 months old. It seems that it is just the right size for him to play with. Not too big nor too small. Bright colors with fun balls that you can haul with the truck and roll around. Seems pretty durable as far as toys go- although, he hasn't yet played with it. Good value for the price. I am excited to see him open it.

I bought this for my grandson's 1st birthday. He loved it right away. It's just right for his age.

This is a hit at our house with my 7 month old son. He love chasing the balls when he throws them across the room. He can pull the truck by the string and thinks it's pretty neat. The sound effects are not too annoying like some other toys.

Bought this when my son just turned 7 Months. Since the day it was delivered it’s been his absolute favorite toy. He plays with it everyday. He loves the “rocks” so much. He loves to hold it and bite it. Since he is still very young to “put the rocks in the hole” (the toy says that over and over 😄) , I do it for him and it really entertains him. The toy has buttons that lights up and teaches you to count from 1-3 (from the 3 rocks) . You pull the blue lever on the side and it dumps the rocks. Overall great toy !!

This little truck is a great first toy. The balls go through the top of the truck and then roll into the yellow truck bed. The blue lever let you dump the rocks and start all over again. The truck sings a little song "I'm a powerful dump truck, I rumble down the road, moving my load from here to there". I bought it for my son when he was 5 months old and he just chewed on the balls at that point. He then started pulling the rope and hitting the buttons. Definitely keeps his interest and is a great buy for the price.

After a year of play and countless drops it's still going strong.
