Perfect!! It does everything but make you lunch
10 out of 5 stars!! Amazon should have a separate section for products that work as described. I own a 2009 BMW 318i and this little guy allowed me to code everything!! Their website actually understates all hat this thing can code. When they say sample customization they mean sample! The amount available codes is overwhelming. Carista is as easy to use as simply plugging in, turning on your phone’s Bluetooth, loading the app and clicking on what you want modified. Yes on digital speedometer real speed as well as chrono speed, yes on real time mpg consumption (not just how much gas is left but how much you are currently using), yes on light output voltage (make your lights brighter including angel eyes), yes on sunroof customs, yes on window customs, and on and on and on and of course yes on just Angel eyes as your DRLs. You can even adjust the amount of clicks your turn signals make when you soft press as well pulse flashes on your hazards! I would have paid twice this price for just the coding feature alone but this company decided to throw in a legit professional diagnostic at your fingertips as well as smog pass checker. Wow!! Just wow. The unlocked app will cost you $40 a year (well worth it) or $10 for one week if you just wanna code your car and set it aside. But just to be sure you don’t part with your money unless you are 100% satisfied they even offer a one month free trial. You simply can’t ask for more. Check the website for customization availability for your car prior to purchasing. Note on the angel eyes for the e90s. You will first have to manually enable DRLs (the app has the option but for some reason it won’t do it if you already have them set to off) prior to customizing them with the app. Check the web for how to do that if you don’t know. Every other bmw owner has a how to YouTube link on this easy process.

For Audi’s it’s a dream
Bought this for my 2013 Audi S4. I wanted something cheap to do most everything for my car. Only thing I wish they’d add is the ability to code new batteries for your car, since the dealer charges so much for it. It’s not a vag com, but can do a lot of the stuff you want it too. Turned off the service due indicator which bugged me, well worth the price for that alone. You can also do your own brake changes with this tool, if you have the electronic parking brake you have to retract the positions to do it, and thankfully this tool can do that. I also turned up the brightness on my headlights with it, and turned off the wink feature on my headlights. Gonna add the secret menu to my Audi and maybe the footwell lights, well worth it!!

Works great
I got an error about the adaptive lights not working on my 2014 Audi SQ5. The car parts store's scanner couldn't see the error so I was prepared to buy either an expensive OBD2 scanner or the RossTech VCDS reader ($200) when I stumbled on the Carista. WOW, I'm blown away with how well it works and the functionality. I connected it to the OBD2 port and it synced with the app on my iOS device right away. I was able to see that the left adaptive light was malfunctioning, and upon further inspection found out the light bulb had simply burnt out. Quick and easy fix. The dealer wanted $150 just to scan the car, so the Carista has already paid for itself many times over. As a bonus, I was able to customize my car (no wink on turn signal, open/close windows and sunroof with the key fob, interior ambient lighting, etc.) which was all very easy to do. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase and how well the Carista works. It would be nice if they offered a lifetime subscription to the premium features in addition to the monthly/yearly subscription model they currently have. I was able to fix my car in the 1 month free trial, so it's not a huge issue right now, but having the option would be nice.

Great product from a good seller.
When I took my wife's 2017 Prius Prime in for service I asked about getting the backup beeper turned off. They said I would need to make another appointment with a certified tech and it would be a half hour of labor which equated to $62 plus tax. I told them never mind I will buy the tool and do it myself. I then purchased the Carista for $20 and turned the backup beeper off plus had my wife look at all the settings and adjusted other things to her liking. The $20 provides me a 30 day window to make any changes I want, after that I have to either buy a weekly $10 or annual $40 subscription. I doubt this will ever be necessary, but the option is available if I want it. The item arrived in a timely fashion and worked perfectly out of the box. I just downloaded the app onto my phone and plugged into the connector on the car. It could not be easier.

Get launch control counter info for Audi S4 and any trouble codes - this is FREE functionality with Carista!
There are lots of great reviews on this item, so I encourage you to research what IS and what IS NOT included "for free" with this device. I wanted to focus on what this is an absolutely ESSENTIAL tool to buy if you are looking to buy a used Audi S4 (or any other vehicle that this unit applies to that has a launch control counter). Audi S4s with the automatic transmission have a launch control feature; basically the engine revs and the automatic clutch gets dumped, and you shoot off like a rocket. Well, this is quite hard on the vehicle, and as a result Audi limits the number of launches to 200 maximum for the life of the vehicle (at least this is the case for the 2010-2016 Audi S4 range). So when buying a used S4, one of THE best ways to verify if the car has lived a hard life working the local drag strips is to see just how many times the vehicle has been launched in this manner. Enter the Carista device! All you need to do is download the app, plug in the box into the OBD port, and you immediately will have a very quick and easy way to check the number of launches. Best of all - you do NOT need to set up an account, fill out any forms, or buy anything whatsoever; this is default functionality that is completely free and requires NO additional setup or hassle. I wound up buying a used S4 with only 7 launches. Note that I originally went with the XTool VAG401 handheld scanning device, and I hate it. It is incredibly slow, menus are completely wrong in many cases, and after struggling for about 3 hours, I gave up on finding the launch control counter (yes, I fully researched VCDS menus and code blocks, downloaded the latest update for the tool, and had no luck). The Carista device immediately could tell me that there were NO trouble codes, and gave me an immediate answer on the number of launches. So yes, there are tons of detailed settings that Carista can help you easily adjust, and many of these functions do require you to pay money (at least beyond the initial free 30 days), BUT if you want a really easy to use device that can tell you if there are any trouble codes, AND give you launch control counter information, all INCLUDED FOR FREE permanently as part of the device, then do yourself a favor and snag a Carista device!

Great product with even better customer support
If you own a 4th gen. Toyota Prius (a fantastic car) then you know that there are a few quirky buzzers and beeps that serve a purpose, but do so all too alarmingly. The excessive reverse gear position beeps coupled with the parking sensor warnings are sure enough to drive even the most mindful person mad. This handy tool was the preferred remedy for this issue, given it is far cheaper to use it than beg the dealership to change these settings for you. Depending on how long you have owned your vehicle, a dealer may even charge you for any customizations to these alert systems. There are several other tweaks that I found to be helpful, but the former ones were my main reason for purchasing the Carista adapter. The rest was icing on the cake. And finally, the support provided from the product's maker was beyond my usual experience with tech support. They were very responsive to my inquiries, and respectful of my novice auto-tuning abilities.

to get rid of the annoying "inspection due" notice on your dash
Process is simple, buy this for $20, after receiving, plug into your car, get online and pay $39.95 and receive 30 day trial. Most people get this, at least in my case it is, to get rid of the annoying "inspection due" notice on your dash. Once I did all the above, the pro functions were enabled and I got rid of the annoyance for 1 year. I also reset a few other things but other than that, everything works well. Tried tweaking with a couple of customizations, but realized the factory setting were pretty much on par with my needs, so I restored to where they were before. Overall, the device works great in the background too. I am thinking of downloading another app mentioned on the Carista website which this is compatible with and play with it. But since I only have one car that needs this, I probably won't buy the $40/year but just opt to get $10 for one week pass next year. But it's definitely worth it. If I don't use this, I have to visit the stupid dealer and pay over $800 for my last 75k mile service.

Easy to use!
This device is super easy to use. The menu on the application is in plain English and makes it super easy to find the options you want to change. I was finally able to disable 2 factory settings in my 2010 Lexus RX 350 that have caused issues. #1 is that if 2 buttons are pressed and held simultaneously on the remote key fob, it opens all the windows and sunroof. I accidentally did that one rainy day when trying to carry an armful of groceries into my house and my car got drenched. #2 is the seatbelt reminder that beeps for several minutes when weight is on any of the seats, like a heavy parcel or my dogs. Saved me a $200 trip to dealership and I heard that many dealers will refuse to modify the seatbelt alarm anyway.

VW Owners, heads up. TSC enabled! DRL disabled! Works like Vag Com but cheap and does all the stuff you pretty much want it to.
VW OWNERS! HUGE Savings over using VagCom. This has access to the CAN like I would expect. I thought I would risk it with this thing. It worked! Costs: Carista $40 CaristaApp Pro $40/year (with 1-month free trial, must sign up, and then cancel using iTunes (Icloud Subscriptions)). CaristaApp 1 Week Pro $10/each. CaristaApp Free (Diagnosis only, Settings Only?) No hidden costs! It's all there on the internet. This is just a company using subscription-based services, whats called "fee for value" pricing. That's where everything is going. I have a 2009 VW GTI I needed to configure. I need a check engine light clear. I want my DRL's disabled (I bought a 5 position headlight switch and I want more control over the USA model GTI HID's, and DRL. I want my windows to roll up and roll down with the key fob. I want my alarm to stop honking. I would like to be able to "black out" while driving at night in case I need to pull a Smokey and The Bandit stunt. I want to disable the flashing lights when I unlock my car. Oh yea, my car has no traction in first gear, just hops the tires down the street. 1st is worthless in a GTI. I don't have VagCom and I don't want to pay $200 for the thing. All of these things are resolved with Carista. I did not have to pay $200 for VagCom adapter, and don't have to go to the old guy at the shop again. I paid $39 for this device and used the 1 month free pro trial to "dial everything in" the way I like it. I've had it for three days. I have 27 left... I disabled my HID as DRL, and Disabled DRL all together, which makes use of my new 5 position headlight switch ($15 on amazon). Now I can black out or go with Fog and Markers only. Now I have FTP lights that were formerly never used on my car. I can roll my windows up and down from the KeyFob now. If I turn my headlights to "Off", I have no lights on the car at all! I made it so when I lock the car I get a hazard blink, no sound, and when I unlock the car, no sound and no light. And the best for last, there is a CAN setting called TSC or "Torque Steering Compensation". Look it up! OMG I can accelerate like a bat out of hell now and no tire hop... the computer is keeping traction in control. OMG this car is fast but the CAN settings were not to my liking. Performance increases like this are usually expensive! Carista... I'm not paying $40 a year. But I love you. I'll pay $10 for a week if I ever need to again. I'm out driving... peace out. Thanks for the thing. Screenshots of the settings for a VW GTI to give you an idea what it can do. Note: I have made illegal modifications to my car with these menus. Use at your own risk. Let's just say... I fly low.
