I know it’s really expensive compared to the standard Xbox controller, but it’s really worth it. You save money in the long run because you can replace individual parts as they wear out with heavier use. I was replacing my controller every 3 months before and the main reason is the joysticks wear out and start to stick. With this controller the joysticks are metal and don’t seem to wear out like the plastic ones. Anyhow, if they wear out it’s super cheap you just buy a new joystick set. Also, the extra buttons on the back can really come in handy with certain setups when you have more controls that you need to input at the same time then you can accomplish with your thumbs. It takes some getting used to but this controller can really improve your game play. You have to play around with different configurations because you can configure everything about the controller in the Xbox settings menu such as sensitivity, dead zone, of the joysticks and triggers. It’s really the best controller I’ve ever used I was at my buddy’s house who has one and I picked it up played one game and ordered it that night just because of the feel in my hands of the controller it’s really nice you should buy it.

Packaging: Very Good The packaging is very solid and survived transit easily. Nothing too impressive with the presentation, but no complaints whatsoever. Quality: Excellent After owning a Scuf Infinity1 and three regular Xbox One controllers, as well as countless others, I can say this is by far the best controller I have ever used. Even upon first touching it, the soft touch rubbery coating feels unlike anything I have ever used before, much better than the plastic used in the regular controllers and even my and the weight makes me feel like I am actually holding a weapon. I know it sounds hard to believe, but I just started hitting some insane no-scopes back-to-back in Halo immediately after plugging it in ([...]). I can't explain how good this thing feels; from the way the thumbsticks snap into place after flicking to the mechanical clicks of the improved bumpers, it just feels perfect... Except for the paddles. The paddles are way too easy to press and I don't see it being of any use to anyone as they are, although some say they are comfortable with them. I found a video (titled "Xbox One Elite controller paddle sensitivity fix") that should help you with the paddle issue if you experience it. I also saw someone online cut the paddles shorter to increase the force necessary to press the paddles, which I plan on doing soon (will post update when I do). Customization: Excellent The tool-less magnetic mechanism for changing the thumbsticks and paddles work perfectly and make any adjustments effortless. The faceted d-pad is great for any game and feels as mechanical as the regular d-pad. The included tall domed and concave sticks are a great inclusion; even though I personally don't use them, many people love them. The software customization is extremely intuitive on both Xbox and Windows. Since Payday 2 on PC doesn't have any control customization, the Elite controller made it easy for me to make a profile and switch back effortlessly using the profile switcher on the controller to switch to my Halo 5 profile. The customization was well thought out, and it shows. I can't think of anything they can do to improve it. With the Elite controller, Microsoft has nearly perfected the controller. It's everything the 3.5mm Xbox One controller is, plus much, much more. I hope this review was helpful. Feel free to ask me any questions.

This Elite Controller will help bring your gaming to the next level. Design The controller is super customizable. The analog sticks can be interchanged with different lengths and/or domed or concaved options. The D-PAD has two options. The left and right trigger can be customized to press quicker with a stopper switch. Then you have 4 programmable buttons on the back of the controller that you utilize the paddles for. These can be programmed to any button and you have to customizable setups that you can switch between at the front of the controller. Functionality The directional movements feel smooth. When programming the buttons on the back you will be surprised how quickly you acclimate to the new controls. Adding something like a jump control to a back paddle allows you to keep you ADS trigger and FIRE trigger while jumping at same time. I Conclusion If you want to take your competitive gaming to the next level, this is a great option.

Love this controller and for me it was totally worth the extra money. (vs the standard xbox controller.) Before, I was going through xbox controllers every 9 months or so. (I replace them once a button starts to fail) For me, this controller has lasted over 2.5 years. I did start to get cosmetic damages (glued-on grips were starting to come apart) and battery charging problems started about 18 to 20 months in- but before I would be on my 3rd or 4th controller in that same time frame! button re-mapping is awesome! and the bottom triggers changed the way I play (but it did take some time to get used to) I used to have a problem with hitting the thumb stick buttons on accident and moving the shoulder buttons to the bottom made things faster and easier. The controller is pretty much done now, but its still doing its job (it needs to be tethered for power and the grips need to be replaced) I hope it holds out till version 2 comes out.

For a year or two, I've been wanting to get an Elite Controller. I kept putting it off cause "it was rather pricey for just some paddles". finally, this year I bit the bullet and got myself one. oh boy, I regret not getting this controller sooner. cause it is the best. the paddles are great because it's somehow more fun to play games now. most shooters, I go for "Bumper Jumper" so losing those bumpers sucks, this now lets me be even more agile or even play some games one-handed if needed. in Destiny 2, I've been enjoying more cheeky actions like jumping and shooting at the same time and in GTA I've set up the paddles to allow for one-handed driving/flying for when I'm setting up my music or checking discord. two unexpected benefits I've been loving about it are the interchangeable parts. as of right now, I've been using the domed sticks provided with it so they'll hopefully get less dirty and the round D-Pad, no real use for it as of now, but it's just more fun to toy with while waiting to find a match. the second benefit is that it comes in a sweet travel bag, for the controller and its accessories. the only "problem" I have with this controller is "I want more colorful accessories". lol

I bought this controller when it originally came out in 2015 so this is an honest review after 3 years of gaming with it. I originally used to to play destiny (great for jumping while still being able look directional for shots without taking my thumb off the joystick) and call of duty. Everyone i see recently has complained about buttons not working but my only issue happened earlier this year and its slight directional right stick drift and the grip is starting to peel. I was fortunate with how long my controller lasted but remember that these things arent meant to last forever. Is it pricey for just able to switch out sticks and adding 4 back paddles? Yes, but the convenience of it now means i cant go back to a normal controller. Anddd i only every use the 1 paddle that mapped to the A button (back bottom right) that i activate with my ring finger. TL;DR Account for replacing this controller with normal to heavy use every 18 months. Maybe you'll be lucky like me and can double that time span before buying another one.

for a $100+ controller, I was expecting quite a bit, and when it first arrived and I unwrapped the box, I knew I wouldn't be dissapointed. I stared at a slick ass case designed to hold the controller, I open the case and find the controller and all of its ad ons. I spend a few minutes debating what sticks to put on, and I end up going with the tall indented ones. i attach the paddles and connect it to my xbox. I map the upper paddles to the bumpers and the lower paddles to a and x you can map the buttons and paddles in any way you'd like. so for fps games, you dont have to move your finger from the right stick to use a,x,b,y. there are also two options for mapping, so you can switch between sub-profiles with the flip of a switch the satellite dish d-pad comes in handy for navigation purposes, but I dont use it much for the games I play. and finally, I can connect 3.5 mm headsets to the controller that I cant ti a regular. XB1 controller. all in all, the product is amazing, definitely worth it. 5/5

I got this to replace my aging xbox wired controller that's probably a decade old. It's... on its last legs and needs a good send off. It has served me well and I was sentimental about replacing it. This Xbox Elite controller comes with a small carrying case for it and adjustments and is fantastic. It's a good, weighty, durable feel and feels solid. The ability to change the trigger click distance is great, as well as the longer thumb stick options which is great for more precision. The only, issue? I have is the bumpers you can have in the back. They are basically just another way to press ABXY why can't be assigned to more buttons. I don't know why, but I wish I could swap the right stick with the buttons. For some reason this feels off when playing and that's the only solution I have without testing. It might be due to my use of the longer thumb stick. Microsoft, if you could swap the right stick with the buttons and expand the lever options, I will buy it.

I love, love, love this controller. I've not used a Scuff controloer, but I never liked how it looked like the paddle levers were set up. These are set up perfectly. Fully and completely programmable on every button including the pressing down on the sticks. Including to programming them to do nothing. The switch that allows you to switch between two different profiles is a beautiful addition. I keep one on the game I'm playing and one on a super basic setting with the paddles disabled for general use of the controler for other things on the XBox. Something else you can change on this is the brightness of the center "Power/Home" button. I have it bright for basic and really dim for my gaming. This tells me at a glance what setting it's on.

Finally have this elite in my hands and dame it feels good! Excellent quality and super smooth triggers and thumbsticks with the amazing feature of hair triggers. Having used this for a few days my other controllers feel like cheap knock offs. With all the configurations this controller can be totally optimized to any style and sensitivity you like, I’m really diggin the paddles and all the extras that it comes with. If your on the fense about buying this, well don’t. Once you hold this controller you immediately feel the quality. Also comes with an amazing charging cord that fits all Xbox headphones, controllers, and charging docks. Also the carrying case with all its extras makes it all really feel custom! Worth every penny.
