Ok this is a game changer, before I purchased this 8 terabyte usb hub my storage was always getting full and I had to keep uninstalling and reinstalling games in order to enjoy them but that was horrible, having to tell my friends “I don’t have it installed” or “I have to install it” on games that we enjoyed was horrible I was always embarrassed whenever my friends played a game that I had but I had to uninstall it to install another game we played and I just got sick of it so I decided to splash some cash on this bad boy and let me tell you it was one of the best decisions I’ve made, this hub is amazing first of all the 8 Terabyte storage is just monumental and the extra 2 usb slots come in handy an unbelievable amount of times for me so this hub is a well worth buy in my opinion.

I connected the Game Hub to my Xbox One S and transfered 48 of my games in preparation of my XBOX 1 X's delivery in November. Once formated you will have 7.2tb of storage. After I transferred my games I was left with 6.2tb remaining. It's somewhat weighty...which I expect and the two USB ports will come in handy for charging controllers or gaming headset. This game hub will future proof you on storage for years to come. Also the Game Hub runs at 7200rpm. I did notice a slight difference with minor increase in load times when playing games. So...if you have a xbox one x preorder. I suggest moving your games to it before you connect this hub to it. It took 4hrs to transfer my 48 games from Xbox One S 2tb internal HDD.

So far I love this thing. I connected it and filled about a 1/2 gig with Xbox 1 and 360 games. The games have a little faster load times on this HDD than if the games were installed on the internal. Xbox One games are freaking HUGE in comparison to 360 games so if you're buying someone an Xbox One who prefers to keep their game collection through digital download instead of having a bunch of plastic cases sitting around, then grab this HDD. It's inexpensive, fast and well worth the money.

This was my first experience in purchasing an external hard drive for the Xbox One and honestly I don't see anything that could make me feel like it wasn't a good purchase. It works as it should, it's simple to use, just "plug and play". After plugging it in, it did it's formatting and was ready for use! What I like most about this is that there are no additional power cables, just the USB cable that connects to the console. Pros- Easy to use Maintenance Free Plug & Play Cons- None

This is an essential upgrade for your Xbox, and the best product in the business. The only reason I gave it four stars is because of how dumb it is that you have to pay extra for the white version, lest you have the ugly green one that matches no Xbox One ever.

Using this as my main storage with my new Xbox one and works flawlessly.

Super easy plug and play with the Xbox, and styled to look great with it. Once unpacked and plugged in to the USB port my xbox instantly recognized it and asked me to either use it for media or to format it for games. Once formatted it asked if I would like to make it the default location for game installs. Once that was finished I decided to move all the games on the internal drive to this one, which was easy to do from the game/app screen. I now have 72% of free space on the internal and only used roughly 25% of this drive with 30+ games on it. Great purchase for someone who has a lot of games or media for xbox.

Very useful kid you like to keep every game that you have played available for replay. The install process is plug it in wait like 15 seconds and it pops up on your Xbox then just go to storage setting in your console to set it up for game or video storage. I have had it for 10 months comming up on a year in December it works great still, I have had no problems, I actually just had a problem recently on my Xbox one X where there was a dlc for a game that was corrupted and would not let me uninstall it to redownload no matter what I did but the Hub let me transfer all of my internal things over and factory reset my Xbox to repair the game without using anything. I have knocked it over countless times while running, it has got unplugged several times while on from being knocked over (haven’t accidentally unplugged while running a game off of it). It has survived travels through an army duffle bag through MANY airport rides without anything protecting it (I do however recommend you do protect it) it loads games decently great for just taking with you to your friends house to take your games with you. Transfers 100GB games like halo 5 or 70GB destiny 2 from it to internal in what feels like just a couple minutes compared to the long download times. You can do a lot with the drive it works very well and is reliable. Also it comes with a plugin on it that has Literally every adapter for almost every outlit in the world the 220 is really helpful for me at the moment but you should consider it for all your stores he needs. Xbox formatting takes 800GB from it because that’s what Microsoft does.

I have over 100 games, 30 which are One X enhanced. After installing every game I own I still have 50% free hard drive space. I have to buy a lot more games before storage is ever an issue again. An external hard drive is an essential purchase for every Xbox owner. But it’s really upsetting so many people have trouble with their Seagates. Mine is going strong after 3 months. Its a great product while it’s working. I’ll update this if it fails. ----------------- UPDATE: After 6 months it's still going strong. There have been absolutely no issues and I couldn't recommend it more. The speed difference between the main console and the external is indistinguishable. And I don't see any signs of it failing. I don't know, did the other reviewers store their external hard drive ON TOP of your console? Did you overheat your hard-drive? (it actually is very tempting, the cord is pretty short and the green is a bit garish). The built-in Xbox hard drive space is very, very limiting. Get a hard drive, it is a huge improvement, especially if you're doing something like GamePass. Just download EVERY GamePass game. Then they're ready to go. More importantly, I have Xbox Live. It's monthly, it's expensive, and it basically does one thing: let's me stay in contact with my friends. If both my friend and I have data storage issues, we will never play games together with busy schedules. Without this I might say "hey let's play Forza" my friend will "I uninstalled it yesterday" and then we don't catch up. It's dumb. This is a must buy. ...also i bought one for my friend.

Great storage unit. I use it for my Xbox one, I plugged it in and it synced automatically. My Xbox kept having problems and was super slow. After putting my games on this my Xbox is lightning fast again. It is very sleek and I never notice it on top of my counsel.
