ATTENTION ALL PHOTO LOVERS

I have always been a "ham" in front of the camera, but this sweet little device has pushed me into taking way more pictures. So very satisfied with it. I was able to do a really cool photo shoot all by myself. It's a must!!

Excellent for a PHOTO BOOTH!

Set up my own photo booth at a wedding reception, and the guests had a ball snapping the picture as they viewed it on the iPad2. I used a head on my tripod to grip the iPad, linked the iPad to this little gadget, and put up a sign with instructions and arranged some crazy props to encourage people to get goofy. It worked perfectly, and the remote did not "walk away" during the afternoon. Highly recommend this! ... (Just wish my big Canon 40D had bluetooth capability so I could use this with that camera!)

Great remote smartphone camera trigger

I needed a way to remotely trigger the camera on my smart phone to take group pictures during family gatherings. After searching the internet I narrowed it down to this item. I received the item very quickly (from Amazon) and it arrived in perfect condition. The remote is very well made, has a very solid feel to it, not something that would break if you dropped it. The included lanyard is a nice plus. I have an Apple iPhone and the remote connected with no issues (via Bluetooth). When my phone was in camera mode the remote worked perfectly. There is a small on/off switch on the side and two buttons on the face (one for IOS phones and one for Android phones).

The ONLY Bluetooth Shutter that will function to take Video in SNAPCHAT

This little bluetooth mobile camera shutter button is the ONLY one I have ever found that works with your phone for apps like Snapchat, VINE or Instagram to allow you to take video when the app requires you to hold down the camera button on your phones screen. Any other bluetooth shutter you buy only allows you to take still photos natively within those apps. Works as it should. Great remote control!

It works great! I purchased this remote to replace one from a different company that did not work well. For the previous remote control, after turning the previous remote control off and then turning it back on, it would not pair to my iphone unless I went to the bluetooth settings screen on the iphone, remove it from my bluetooth synced devices, and then had to pair again every time I wanted to use it. With this remote, I can turn it off and on as I please and it's always ready to use. The remote works great and I highly recommend this brand!

A Very Useful Gadget!!

This was so easy to use and worked perfectly. I was able to get everyone at my family reunion (@100 people) in the photo. The distance it worked was awesome! I was even more excited that I didn't have to run to get into the picture before a timer went off. And it's so easy to keep in my purse or on a keychain to have available at any time!

Easy to setup and easy to use

I've worked in the technology field for more years than I care to admit and sometimes find myself being a "techo-tard". I stumbled across these as part of a daily deal and after reading the reviews I purchased one for myself and thought "this will make my life so much easier". I immediately thought this would be a great product to purchase for others in my office as part of a christmas bag a put together for them every year. With my original purchase I went around the office like a kid with a new toy and I had hours of fun taking selfies and experimenting with the different picture and video app's to find out which ones worked and which ones didn't. I only found one app that would not work with this remote, it's a one off and wasn't that great of and app to begin with. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is into photography or videography. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Impressive for the price!

I purchased this remote trigger based upon other's reviews. I was looking for a reliable remote trigger for my iPhone 8 plus that I will be using to start vlogging. The construction of the unit (all plastic) is solid, well made, and pleasing aesthetically. I chose the neon green because it would be easier to find in my dark gig bag. it is small, light, but most important - it works! Turning on the Bluetooth of my iPhone and clicking the 'on' switch of the CamKix resulted in a less than 2 second connection. The blue indicator light lets you know that the Bluetooth connection has been made. I live in a small apartment but was able to trigger my phone's camera and video from the furthest distance I could achieve - approximately 30 feet - and while in another room! I have the impression that I could have achieved a greater distance if I needed to. All of my previous remotes were infrared so I had to be in 'line of site'. I don't think that this unit is built to last 'forever' (and I will be ordering a second one as a backup) but it has functioned flawlessly for me as of this writing. I did not receive an instruction sheet on the minimal functions that this unit has but because of my experience was able to figure out how to open the battery chamber to replace the battery (If need be - I have no idea what the battery life is supposed to be but it uses a standard 2032 which is easy to find in almost every place that sells batteries. BTW, I used a pen knife blade to leverage open the battery cover and then slid the cover forward to reveal the battery. The smooth plastic and well-fitting cover did not slide off of the body of the remote easily.). The included wrist strap is well made and easy to adjust. I use it to hang he unit from my tripod for easy access. The only real concern that I have is the plastic 'on off' switch, wondering if it will hold up over time but at this price point it is very functional. It is not 'flimsy' as other plastics switches usually are so I would expect it to last quite a while. I will not be abusing it to find out what it's tolerance is! Over all, I am very pleased with this remote!
