Purchased for an upcoming trip. I have been leaving luggage unlocked and decided to up my security. Reviewing choices I decided I wanted the extra security of a four digit combination lock. The locks arrived as expected. The seller provided instructions by email on changing the combination to a number of my own choosing. Also provided a link for a quick video on changing the combination. Procedure is simple.

Great Lock, Great Value, Great Instructions!

One thing in life you can count on (other than death and taxes) is TSA will eventually destroy your lock. That's what happened on a recent trip, prompting me to buy these locks. I liked the extra digit combo, allowing for 10,000 possible combination. The best part was the included documentation. Easy step-by-step guide, in clear (well written) English. For those who don't like to read, they have a video to watch as well. I only wish other products had such interest in their customers - I hear from "Grace" of desired things frequently, who owes me 20 push-ups (per her email) for posting this review! ;-) Count 'em out loud now there Grace!

Strong and quick to open - easy to program

The instructions were 100% clear for the locks, and thus programming them with my own combination was simple. For foster care, I'm required to lock up any medication, and double lock any prescription medication. I didn't want to have to walk around with keys all the time, so opted for a 4 digit combination lock that would be harder to crack than a 3-digit code one. This combined with a separately purchased box fit the bill. I've used int for over a week now and it is not difficult to unlock and get into the box quickly. For reference, I wear X-Large gloves; so despite it's small size, it still is not difficult for large hands. I'd recommend this to anyone that needs a strong lock with a small footprint.

Ditching all 3-digit locks! Finally I found a luggage lock that I would depend on!!

Love them! The weight on hand feels like heavy-duty constructed and I believe they are. The "clicks" on each digit tumbler are so clean without freeplay, implying that the locks would last a very long time. Also, I found no problem with customizing the PIN combo. I couldn't understand how other users would mess up the PIN setting process...if they would RTFM. I am going to replace all of my 3-digit locks with these, and I would strongly recommend you to do the same.

4 digit locks take 10 times the time of 3 digit locks

Nice, hefty locks. 3 digits ones are easy to open and that's why I never considered them. Assuming one can try out each combination a few times in a second, it will take a fraction of 1000 seconds = 16 minutes or just a few minutes to open. 4 digit one, like this one will take 10 times that time. A little bit harder. Watch the instructions to set the combination on company's web site (a little better and clearer than reading the instruction that come with the locks). The numbers are a bit shiny making it somewhat difficult to read. I like the feel of these locks.

Great Product!

I have never wrote a review before, but I have to say I love these locks. I especially love the bright red color. I will be able to see them from a distance at the airport to distinguish my luggage from everyone else's luggage. When I received them I had not yet watched the company's tutorial video. I at the time thought they were defective. Even my friend thought they were defective after trying to help me to figure out how to create a combination code. But after I watched the tutorial video on there website [...] then I understood how to create my own combination code for locking/unlocking these locks. I just received these locks through the mail and I am very satisfied with these locks. The seller was very fast at responding to my emails. The seller answered my question effectively which I liked. The product was shipped in a timely manner. Don't hesitate to buy these locks. I hope this review helps.

Great for backpack purses!

This lock is perfect for my backpack purse! I have back issues so I purchased a backpack style purse but I was always leery of actually wearing it as a backpack because of fear of theft in busy places. This lock works perfect to easy my mind. I simple attach it to the double zipper heads, as you would a piece of luggage, and wear my purse on my back with confidence. The amount of effort it would take to rip it off is a sure detourance to thieves. It is also easy to set with the clear instructions that come with the product. It's a heavy duty lock in a very petite design!

That may sound like a lot

Let's face it - luggage locks are not designed to prevent someone from stealing your luggage or its contents. Where a standard luggage lock can be helpful is in preventing an airline employee from reaching into your luggage and stealing your valuables - something that happens far more often than people realize. Any luggage lock should be effective in preventing this, as baggage handlers at most can spend a few seconds on each piece of luggage. Unfortunately, most luggage locks only have a three-digit lock, which amounts to a mere one thousand possible combinations of digits. That may sound like a lot, but hotel cleaning staff can easily go through all possible combinations in a matter of minutes. Since most people use the same combination on all their locks, that means that once they figure out your combination on one piece, they can gain access to all your items. By adding another digit to the combination on these locks, that increases the number of possible combinations by an order of magnitude. So if it takes a hotel employee ten minutes to go through 1000 combinations, it will take them at least 100 minutes to go through 10,000 combinations. That's enough to get them to move onto the next room. These luggage locks are solidly built and the combination is as easy to set as with most 3-digit locks. They're definitely worth the purchase price.

Good locks, good customer support

Easy to set up and sturdy locks. But no matter how sturdy they appear to be when TSA who checks your baggage does not unlock them right, it breaks. This is what happened to mine but they were kind enough to put inside my suitcase. Really frustrating when this kind of thing happens to you but fortunately when i emailed customer support to see if there is a fix the lock, they responded right away. Though they had no control on what TSA do that damages the lock,they offered to replace the lock free of charge and free shipping. Got the replacement few days later. Awesome customer support and the way they back up their product.

Great Product and Great Customer Service

I ordered these before our flight to Florida and a cruise. They were easy to use; the instructions were clear and easy to follow. When we went to pick up our luggage after our arrival in Florida, my lock was on and in good shape but my husband's was nowhere in sight. I'm not sure what happened to it. On the last night of our cruise, our luggage was placed out in the hallway as instructed, before we went to bed. I've cruised before and in the past, I was uneasy leaving my things out in public spaces. This lock made me feel secure that no one was going to open my bag and take something. They could still walk off with the entire bag but this lock gave me some peace. Upon our return, I responded to an email from the supplier and after telling them how much I liked the locks, I mentioned that my husband's lock disappeared on the first leg of our journey. I received an email back stating that they were sending out a replacement. Now - that's super customer service. I highly recommend these locks and this company.
