Got this product for the same reason some others before me did, which is to use to play Rocksmith without the audio latency issue. Now I'm not an expert in audio setups nor a professional when it comes to calculating the exact millisecond of delay there is between input and audio output, but using this adapter to connect my PS4 to a speaker system definitely did the job well. The audio delay for using this for my setup did not feel significantly different from hooking directly to an amp. Which for those with latency issues when using the HDMI, could be the biggest difference as was for me. Setup of the adapter was painless, literally like playing those child games of fitting shapes into holes and matching colors. The adapter does not include a 3.5mm auxiliary cable but depending on the speaker setup or anything, this isn't necessary. I just happen to have an extra one laying around so it didn't bother me at all, but those of you who may need it, may want to add one to your cart as well before ordering.

My tv only had a digital optical plug for audio out. I need headphone and RCA audio out. This product does exactly this. Keep in mind that this product needs a power supply to do this. The tv had a usb port so I just used the cable supplied to connect usb to the converter.

This was a perfect solution to get sound from my Samsung Smart TV to an external speaker that didn't have an optical input. This was easy to set up and very intuitive. My TV's USB port was already taken up by the power cord for my Chromecast so I added 4 port a USB hub and also added in a wireless keyboard using the extra USB ports! I used 3M double sided tape to attach the adapter and the USB hub to the back of the TV and this made for a very neat and clean install (taped down the Chromecast while I was at it). The adapter itself is better built than I expected and seems pretty sturdy, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

So my rating is based more on the customer service than the actual product itself. I ordered this for my new Samsung 6300 series Smart TV which doesn't have RCA or headphone out, so I could still use my headphones on the treadmill. All the necessary cables were provided, and the install was easy. I got it to work just fine with the TV, but unfortunately when I used netflix or amazon instant video, the sound just stopped entirely. I tried looking into audio settings, etc. and tried converting to PCM (as was suggested by support) but nothing seemed to help, so it didn't work for what I needed it for. But... the customer service was great. They emailed me when I ordered, and responded to emails promptly. They tried to help find a solution and when it was clear it likely wouldn't work, offered a refund on the product which was handled with no effort on my part. So thanks to their customer service, I upgraded vote from probably a 3-star to a 5-star... :)

I was used to analog sound out on old tv and the new tv was digital output. I use Bluetooth transmitter to be quiet watching late night tv. there was no way to hook up my transmitter and being 76 yrs. old not to keen on electronics was at a loss as what to do. I'm thinking there must be some type adapter for digital. Looked on amazon and there was this so here I am. Very easy to install and operates like a charm. Paired on first time with my $4.00 Brightplay live HD transmitter (could not find the $4.00 brightplay live on amazon any longer, glad I bought 3 of them about a yr. ago) which works great every time. The auto wt adapter arrived in one day and installed in 10 min.Highly recommend

Bought a new TV and my old Bose System wouldn't hook up to it. Was told by Bose that there was not a convesion cable available. Great way for them to sell me a new sound system. Hooked this conversion up in about 2 minutes and works perfect

I didn't realize when I bought my new LG TV there wasn't an audio out port. I tried Bluetooth headphones, but the delay was unacceptable. After a bit of research, I figured out optical out could be a solution, so I bought this device, using my old wireless headphones, and it works great! It's easy to install, comes with all the required cables, and works well with my wireless headphones. I'm very happy with the purchase so far. And only $12 instead of $200 for Bluetooth headphones that didn't work anyway. I'm not sure why the description says it doesn't work with Netflix, I've used Netflix through my Fire TV stick with no problems.

It was a little tough for me to tinker with at first, I'd never used a digital converter. It was easy enough to figure out though, the cable that takes the signal to convert (goes in the device you're trying to get sound from), felt very new. It was stiff, but that was partially because the port was as well. Keep that in mind when you go to jam the wire in there, but it doesn't stay in the port. I primarily bought this just to play Rocksmith 2014 on the Xbox one. It does the lag delay between the screen and the notes you're playing. For myself, I used a set of logitech computer speakers to bring out the stereo sound from digital.

It does what it says it does with no problems. Sound quality is great, no hum or anything weird. The only thing that took me back was that the power connection for it, is USB only, with no wall adapter included. It's my fault though because you can clearly see what is included in the product images. However I did just plug the power usb to the usb slot on the TV and it worked fine. In fact this might be the best way to go as when you turn off the TV the power for the device is cut as well. It's best to turn off these kinds of devices when not in use.
