Completely eradicated the bedbug problem we incurred we when purchased an old bed frame. First thing we did was purchase encasements for all of the mattresses and box springs (this is a must). I sprayed every 5-7 days around the baseboards and perimeter of the beds, vacuumed 3 times a week, sprayed down our bed, bed frames, and mattresses daily with 91% alcohol with some lavender oil (found out they hate lavender), and sprinkled diatomaceous earth around the baseboards as well. It's been 3 weeks and we haven't seen anymore thank goodness! This was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever been through some times feeling helpless, not being able to sleep, and worrying about these nasty critters eating on our daughter at night. I am so glad we found this spray and I would recommend it to anyone that's having problems with these nasty things.

After numerous other products and lots of frustration, I finally found this product that did the trick. After 2 treatments, all bugs were dead. My advice is threefold: 1. get a mattress and box spring encasement 2. sprinkle diatomaceous earth powder around perimeter of bed and upholstered furniture until everything is clear 3. spray this Harris black label - carefully since you cannot allow it to touch any surface that comes in contact with skin Have patience - you can prevail!

I would highly recommend this and also the powder. We do not quite know when or how our infestation started but after a lot research, trial, and error this is definitely the best product out there for your fight against bed bugs. Here are a few tips I have for anyone trying to DIY. 1. Don’t freak out, fight back instead. Paranoia is normal when you first find out but pull yourself together and start killing anything you see. A little squirt of 93% rubbing alcohol kills them on contact but it’s not recommended to use in large amounts because it is highly flammable. 2. Don’t stop sleeping in your bed. Continue to sleep in the same place every night. The bugs are drawn to you when you sleep. If you sleep in multiple places in your house you can make them spread. Figure out where the infestation is and start there. Look in every crease and crack until you find them. They are fast and very good at hiding. 3. Get bed bug proof encasements for your mattresses and box springs. This will prevent them from grouping up on you mattresses and the are easy to spot. 4. Buy this spray along with the powder. Put powder the in the cracks of the walls in your bedroom and wherever someone sleeps. Spray down your couches, bed frames, or whatever you notice them hiding in. Spray once a week and be persistent. 5. Don’t give up. It will take a long time but if you stick with it you will be successful. It worked for me. Do some research and find out about their habits. I gave myself a goal to kill just one per day. Every night I would look for them before going to bed. Set a goal and keep going until they’re gone.

Been using another brand that was loosing effectiveness. This stuff has finished up where the other left off. The other brand did slow down, stopped and killed the bed bugs and was safe for pets. This stuff by Harris kills them NOW. I rechecked spots where eggs might be DEAD! I will continue to use this product until I can go 30 days without a bedbug. Then will still use it in a maintenance level for a year. I just have to be careful in my usage around my pets.

I wrote a review for the smaller size of the same product. It was initially intended for this gallon size. This is without a doubt the best spray I have ever seen for bed bugs. After a small infestation confined to our living room we had a heat treatment done in three rooms on the advice of the exterminators. These rooms were the primary living space for the two people living in this house. A month later we noticed a bug in the bathroom. I figured it was migrating from the living room to my bedroom. I never saw any infestation in the bedroom only an occasional one on the wall. After inspecting the couch and a recliner I saw more. Out of sheer disgust I got rid of the couch, love seat, recliner, 2 end tables and bookcases. I then tore out the wall to wall and realized due to the thickness of the carpet and padding they had survived the initial heat treatment. The carpet had been there since the early 80's. I would see them on the wall of the living room and during the night catch them migrating down the hallway towards the bedroom. I saw many in the bathroom which is before the bedroom. I started with the Ortho bedbug spray in the living room along the baseboard but still saw them climbing up the walls afterward. I would literally drench the corners and edges of the floors and ceilings with this stuff but still see them at night. I was getting up every night between 3 and 4 am to check and usually find a few on the walls, ceiling and around the door frames in the hallway. I started buying the regular Harris bed bug spray in the yellow bottle and had limited success with that but it wasn't until I bought the Pyrethroid Resistant Bed Bug spray that I saw results fast! I've had bottles delivered with and without the sprayer so I use an old bottle of the yellow Harris spray, fill that up and use it to spray. I sprayed every night in the living room, hallway and around the door frames of the closets and bathroom. As I write this I haven't seen one in weeks and of the last ones I saw, some were dead. I'm now spraying every 4 or 5 days and will continue to as a precaution as I understand they can live for months. Bed bugs are a traumatizing thing and if you've ever dealt with them, it's not something you get over quickly. This product has been a savior and I can't imagine what I would have done without it.

Works if you follow instructions and remain diligent. Full disclaimer: I used this product in conjunction with EcoRaider and another product. I found 2 bugs after returning from extended travel. I used the regular version of this brand to treat the whole house after I threw out every single thing in my room and the closet where my luggage was stored. (No, you don't have to throw out your mattress and clothes, but I personally believe it helps to get rid of every egg and some living bugs hiding out in shoes, boxes, paperwork, headboards, etc.) I sprayed the original Harris spray on every inch of any thing from wall art to the light sockets and every couch cushion, every appliance, everywhere I could. I bought a new mattress, covered it with TWO bed bug proof covers after treating it three times and allowing it dry fully outside. I took the clothes, towels, sheets I had left and washed them in hot water then two cycles of high heat in the dryer. After that, I put every bit of it in plastic bags and tied them tight and stored them in my tub. (bed bugs have a hard time climbing up slick surfaces, and cannot get through the plastic bags so this is the best way to prevent any bugs running from poison to get back into your clothes and sheets.) I also ordered the pods to put the legs of furniture in. They are like pools of poison so if any bugs climb off or on to your furniture, they have to go through the poison in the pods. This only works if your furniture is away from the walls and no blankets touching the floor or curtains or walls. I used the powder around all the baseboards, into every little crack and crevice I could see with a magnifying glass, and behind all the photo/wall art frames and all decorative items with an open space (like vases and fluted light covers). Every 7 days I sprayed again using the aerosol and large spray bottle and I cleaned up the powder and reapplied it. Six weeks later I had just started putting clothes in my closet again and found another full grown bug and one dead smaller bug. I was astonished anything survived the amount of poison I was using. I again cleaned out my closet completely, put everything back through high heat clean/dry cycles and into the tub while I treated the house with this Harris Toughest Bed Bug Killer. I also added EcoRaider and another (I forget the name) to the mix. The EcoRaider has a stronger smell that lingers a lot longer but it's supposedly the best of all of them. I'm now two full months out and have not seen any bugs, eggs, nymphs, or additional dead bodies. I still spray every 10 days and have not yet begun using my closet again but will do in a couple more weeks. Everyone I know that I had legit lost my mind because coming home and spraying the house had become such a regular thing, but you know what? I got rid of them and from what I read, that's how diligent/crazy you have to be if you're going to get rid of them within a few months. Good luck! It's so disgusting and stressful but you can do it!

After doing extensive research on this issue and dealing with the problem myself I suspect that people who are unable to get this product to work aren't completing the numerous exhaustive and essential steps necessary to combat an infestation. This is not something you can cure by spraying in a few places with only this product once or twice, throwing away furniture/mattresses, and washing clothes. The process is time consuming and you need to apply multiple products and steps repeatedly every 7-10 days, in areas where there is probably not even a clear sign they are present, at least twice but more effectively 3-4 times in order to assure getting rid of the bed bugs. Some people might get lucky and get rid of them without the work but that will be the exception not the rule. Statistically somebody could get struck by lightning on their way to cash in the winning Powerball lottery ticket but it isn't likely.

So, my story begins with a friend I love dearly, who obtained the bugs and eventually they made their way to me. In the beginning i couldn't afford anything like this, so i settled for a 16 oz bottle of Eco Raider, and for a time, it worked! however all i did was spray the TOP of my mattress and box springs but i didn't really deep clean anything (and i also didn't think to turn my box springs over) After a couple of days the blood stains reappeared and so did the bites, but i was all out of my bottle.I was at a loss and didn't know what to do, so I turned to amazon once i got some funds and eventually found Harris (to be clear Eco Raider works! I just couldn't afford the 300 dollars for the same size, as i am a poor college student and used loans to purchase this alone) While mine did not come with a sprayer, its no big deal, as i just put it in my empty bottle of Eco Raider, and it lasts for a long time! (the entire couch, and floor around my bed plus my dresser took up the 16 ounces and i still have a crazy amount more in the gallon) If you aren't 100% sure you have Bed Bugs, attached to my review i have images of blood stains on my sheets (with a size comparison, size 7 ring) and their fecal stains at the corner of my box springs. Classic signs, even if you haven't seen them physically. I also have a size comparison of the actual item and my 16oz spray bottle just in any case :3. First steps: First day i received it, i came into my room and saw a bug on the wall. My first sighting. With one single spray the bug halted in its tracks and curled up. I left it on the wall for 30 mins or so to make sure it was dead...and it was! Already this has my 5 stars. I ordered a box springs case and today am getting serious and cleaning out my entire room. I would recommend if you have a dresser close to your bed, to take the drawers out and dry ALL your clothes in the dryer on high 70 mins per drawer of clothes, and use the spray to get every crack of the dresser. Dont just focus around your bed as they travel! Also, vacuum!!!!! vacuum your whole floor and move everything!!!! since the first night i sprayed (doing this dresser cleaning was the second day i had it) i already see dead shells on the ground under my bed and am only getting bit once or twice a night. second steps: It was Traumatizing. I spent the entire day after the first seriously cleaning and spraying everything in my room (minus the dresser since i got it the day before though i did vacuum under it) The hardest part...was lifting up my box springs and seeing all the eggs and bugs underneath, just clinging to the mattress in their little nests. I know its difficult to face but it must be done! Personally, I cried. it was so disgusting. Harris is a God send. Literally, with a single spray they Die, the eggs actually burst. Make sure to spray your bed frame too as I saw some dead bugs and one live one there too (fleeing most likely) . After all that, I put on the box springs cover (Utopia Bedding Premium BB proof encasement, good and inexpensive!), vacuumed again, cleaned my sheets, and..... I am happy to report, while I didn't sleep well because of BB nightmares, I did wake up COMPLETELY BITE FREE. with no blood stains on my sheets. I plan on spraying and vacuuming once again in about 10 days but after that 10 days I will edit this with my final results! UPDATE: it's been longer than 10 days since my initial review, but things have happened since then that I feel I should add. My infested friend brought her cat over once (long story) who slept on my mom's bed one afternoon and gave her the little demons as well. Got out my harris, sprayed the infected area (they where all on the head of her mattress against the wall small nest, caught them early), and literally after I sprayed them they stopped moving. I checked it again about 3 days later when my Utopia mattress cover came in for her, and every single bug was dead, hadn't even moved since the initial spraying. ALlso, my bed personally has never again been hit or been seen by another bed bug. I know this may seem expensive to some, it was for me at the time, but I promise you, this works! It kills eggs, babies, aduts, and actively keeps bugs away from sprayed areas! For your complete arsenal, I would reccomend, The gallon Harris BB Killer Utopia Bedding, bed covers (all sizes work for mattresses and box springs alike) And Cimexa insecticide dust (sprinkle this along base boards and on or around bed legs) this will kill any bugs that in the future might try and make it to your bed. I can now say I feel 100% worry free about future possible infestations and I no longer feel helpless against them! I can sleep again without worrying. Though I still have nightmares about them, I know they are just dreams, and Harrison has my back. If you are going through this, please know you are not being punished by God, Karma is not out to get you, and you are not filthy! My mom and me clean our home regularly, and are tidy (for the most part, hah!). These things just happen! You will get through this if you are willing to fight! (and, If you are religious) God is with you every step of the way, don't lose hope <3

My grandson came to visit and left something to remember him by. BEDBUGS We tried so many products until I think the bugs waited for the new flavors. I was so frustrated !!!! I was ready to burn the house down and build a new one. I saw the reviews one dreary sleepless night and decided to try once more. I was not disappointed. This stuff works. I mean actually works. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't slept in months with their eyes open. You will not be disappointed.

THIS IS CLEARLY THE VERY BEST, AS I HAVE TRIED MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE FAILED. THIS REALLY, REALLY WORKS. I HAD A BED BUG INFESTATION THAT WAS DRIVING ME NUTS AND TRIED MANY OTHER BRANDS OF BED BUG SOLUTIONS THAT SIMPLY KILLED ANY BUGS THAT WERE SPRAYED, BUT DID NOTHING RESIDUAL ."Harris Toughest Bed Bug Killer" WAS A BLESSING FOR ME THAT REALLY GOT RID OF MY INFESTATION., AND I THANK GOD AND THE HARRIS COMPANY FOR THAT.
