. we finally had a chance to fly the kite and it is truly AWESOME! We happened to have a exceptionally windy day on an Ohio farm and the whole family had a super time flying the kite! Grandpa (88) son (25) and Grandson (5) loved it! We finally had a chance to fly the kite, and it is truly AWESOME! We happened to have had an exceptionally windy day on an Ohio farm, and the whole family had a super time flying the kite! Grandpa (88) son (25) and Grandson (5) loved it! We also followed your tips, and the wind took it up after a single toss in the air! The string was strong and perfect in length! We were out in the open so no trouble with trees. It is a beautiful kite too with a bright, colorful tail! Fun for the whole family, and I would not hesitate to give it a five star rating on Amazon! Good product and great customer service,

This kite just FLIES! It was hard to keep it on the ground. it just felt like it wanted to be in the air and took minimal maintainance to keep up. So much so that my nephew lost the string, got it caught on a flagpole, let it hit the side of the Washington Monument, and it STILL didn't fall out of the sky. Later in the day I attached a GoPro session to it and it still flew without much problem. Great kite.

I purchased this kite to use on Cape Cod and it arrived well in advance of our departure date. On our first day there, I put it together and it flew wonderfully...for about 10 minutes. At that point the horizontal strut snapped. (In light of full disclosure, I did fly it in a rather stiff wind). I had already received a number of emails from the company checking on my satisfaction so I contacted them that same day. They said they would make it right. Upon our return home, an entire new kite (not just a replacement strut) was waiting for me and the company did not require I send back the original They are a pleasure with which to do business.

I have a few kiddo's running around; and we are outside a lot. Every so often the occasional windy day comes along and I get the bright idea to go waste some money on the kites they have at the store. I think I would have better flying results if I just tied my money to a string and threw it up in the air. Needless to say, there is never a reason to store these kites. So I try again with this kite. Wow! This is a quality kite. I had it put together in about 5 minutes and was outside flying it for about 30 minutes. Then I had to put it away. I've never had to do that before. A couple of days later the wind was blowing and this kite was up in the air again. It survived 2 use!! The next time the conditions are right I'll attach a camera to this thing and try my hand at aerial photography! Very satisfied with this kite.

Pros: * Quick and easy to assemble. * Sailed easily in a light wind. Cons: * Not sure you can call this a con, but for next time I would look for a kite with two handles so we can try stunts. This kite was very easy to run all the way out to the end of its 50m of line. After that, my kids -- 13 and up -- were a little bored. * Also I would look for a handle that allows the user to wind in the line quickly. I was impressed at how quickly and easily my children were able to assemble this kite, and how quickly it was airborne in a breeze that was maybe 6 knots. I was also impressed with how stable the kite was. With other people on the beach, I worried at first it might swoop or dive into someone but even when the breeze faltered, the kite behaved splendidly and attracted positive attention from other people on the beach.

I was super disappointed in this kite given the reviews. The center pole broke through both of its tabs the first time I flew it in mild winds with no crashes and no dragging. Ended up putting it in the trash after less than an hour of flying. BUT, this company is pretty darn amazing. They offer 100% satisfaction and really lived up to that. They saw my original review -- which included the sentence above and a 1 star rating. They reached out, offered me another kite and/or a full refund. I didn't have my kite to return to them so I wasn't sure I'd get a refund -- but they gave me one anyway. Long story short: There's no risk to you in buying this kite. If it works for you, you'll have a great kite to fly. If it doesn't, you'll get your money back without any hassle at all. That's impressive.

This kite is just the right size. Not excessively large and not too small. The material is fabric like waterproof woven nylon. The rods are a bendable carbon fiber like versus wooden. The horizontal and bottom rods fit into sewn little pockets on the kite. The tail is 1 piece and not too long. The wind stabilizers are also not too long. A moderate consistent breeze will get the kite up in the air. I just wished there was a better spooling for the string. It's the same type as found in a $2 kite. Having the kite crash onto pavement after the string came off mid flight and the fall has scuffed and near puncturing the tip top tip of the kite. I expected a bit more protection/refinement in the fit an finish of the connection points. You have to tie several surgeon's knots to keep the string from falling off in flight.. Having a plastic clip to attach to the kite would be great to attach and detach quickly. I also wish the bag the kite came in came in was a thicker plastic and bit larger for storage and reuse. It's difficult to fold and flatten the kite to store back into the bag. Is this kite worth $11-15 and a 5 star rating? If this flies 5 more times then I've gotten my money's worth versus a single use disposable $2 kite.

This extraordinary flyable kite is aBrilliant rainbow of gem like colors. Perhaps the most important thing is the design. This kite practically jumps into the air all by itself and stays up there. And you don't have to wait for a windy day. In fact, what's a little bit tricky is that it's so easy to fly it almost flies by itself and all you have to do is hang on to the string and take in the awesome Beauty. This is not just a kite for kids, it's a kite for every one of every age. Treat yourself to a magical afternoon by flying your own personal rainbow. You'll never forget it. 2nd, I originally posted a negative review due to a minor problem and, as if I were a rockstar, I got a personal emaill, apologizing and guaranteeing an immediate replacement or refund. A huge company that stands behind its products. That's something special. Buy this kite. Actually, I would recommend buying two: one for yourself and one for someone you love. It also comes with its own bag.

Assembly - It was a little tough due to the rigidity of the fabric. We ended up inserting the rods into the holes and then mating the rod ends together. Ultimately, the stiffness helps with flight. Size - I wouldn't call it "huge", but that is a subjective description. It has a nice long tail that makes it appear larger. Flight - Due to the size, it could not sustain flight in light breezes, BUT once we had a good breeze this thing took off. I held the handle with one finger as it unrolled the string itself. Controls - It is a single line kite. Controls are pretty straightforward, right? Pull in some slack, release it to make the kite dive, thats about it. The included handle didn't blow me away (haha), but it did the job. You can upgrade to a spool if you're a "serious" enthusiast. Bottom line: Good kite and design for the money. We flew it twice for maybe an hour of total flight time - Not disappointed!

I've never been able to get a kite to stay up for more than a minute or 2. But I still wanted my daughter to have a good experience with one. So after reading a few good reviews on this rainbow kite I decided to give it a try. I think it was about $14 so if it didn't work out... well, I'd be annoyed about it, but it wouldn't be the worst thing... ive had my kiting dreams crushed many a time before. Normally our kiting experience is a little something like this: we go in with "HIGH hopes", we wait for the "right wind" (which definitely tests our patience) and I run around like an idiot that is continuously throwing and catching some crap-tastic piece of plastic, with intermissions of me untangling a messy spool of knotted string. If it goes in the air it only lasts for a few moments and then it's gone... with all of my energy. It ends with me feeling incompetent and frustrated. Why can't I fly a darn kite? It's for children! Surely I should be capable. My daughter is bummed that it doesnt fly and thats a wrap....as I say to myself, "please, please don't ask to play with this thing for another year!" That was soooo NOT the experience with this kite!!! This kite arrived neatly packaged and a few days early. I was planning to add this to her christmas gifts, but when it arrived I thought, "we live in ny. Why wait until freezing cold almost January to fly this thing?" It's autumn and wind is in season! That very day I took her to the park, along with my mom. She hasn't been the same since my Dad passed and doesnt go out, or smile much anymore. This kite gave me a memory that I will cherish forever! This kite is so darn simple to fly! And not just fly, but soar! It went up on our very first try and it didn't come down until I brought it down. It was awesome!! Not just for my daughter, but it filled some missing childhood memory for myself as well lol. I finally got to fly a kite! And better still.. both my daughter and her grandma got to fly it! And grandma's hands are not what they used to be... just before I got her to try it she said "I'm no good at that.. no, no, no... my hands. I cant...blah blah"... "yes, you can mom!" And she did! She did it with ease! My 4 year old did it with ease! I did with ease! Three generations together, ranging from 4 to 64.. all so capable of flying this kite. It was incredible to see them running together, smiling and laughing. It really touched my heart. The kite is bigger than I expected and it doesn't seem to be cheaply made. The rods are strong and stable, the material arrived and still is inntact... not made of plastic. The string is strong too, so it doesn't knot as easily as others do. But its long enough to get it soaring high.... higher than in the pics taken. Once i had it in the air for a few minutes I was even able to maneuver it around a bit. And of course the little one was pumped about it being rainbow :) I want to take a second just to say thank you to this company, to the seller, and to anyone else who went into making/creating this oh-so-simple-to-fly kite. I never in a million years expected that spontaneous trip to the park to become such a meaningful day... who knew it could start with a good, sturdy kite! I can't recommend this kite enough! Seriously...there's no need to go on looking. This one is a winner! Ps.. I am in no way paid to write reviews, nor do I receive any kind of discounts... this is just the perfect kite :)
