Great on oatmeal, in salads, many other ways. Probably third time reorder. Lasts a long time if frozen or transferred to quart jars in pantry. The Michigan cherry industry is a mystery. They ( I read an article) control the market price and dump surpluses to keep the market from flooding. The idea of dumping perfectly good cherries really bothers me. Not sure how these fit into the cherry game.

Sure, the kids eat it by the sickeningly full mouthful, but I love these because I’m a sourdough bread fanatic and if you haven’t made sourdough bread loaded with cherries you’re missing out big time. Great price, delicious cherries.

What everyone says about these cherries is 100% right! These cherries are plump, tart/sweet and so so versatile! I used to try to buy dried cherries from the grocery store in 4 oz. or 6 oz. packages...now I have 64 oz. to play with! I use them for virtually everything but just out of the bag is my #1 choice. I am so very happy that Traverse Bay cherries are available at Amazon for a fraction of the price of those small grocery packs. If you love cherries you will love these! ****I just ordered another 8 lbs of these cherries! I am ADDICTED! Did you know 20 cherries are 10 times as potent as aspirin and have positive effects on arthritis pain? Did you know these cherries are an excellent source of boron (linked to increased bone health)? Did you know these cherries promote better sleep (rich source of melatonin)?

Well, I'm on my third order in as many months, so you might say I am pleased with the product. Four pounds of dried cherries is a lot of cherries, but since I used them both professionally and personally, the demand is high. Personally, I use these as a twice a day snack to help with some joint and tendon pain after workouts. I don't know what it is, but tart cherries are well known to help reduce inflammation and promote the healing process. Plus, they just taste great! :) Professionally, I use these in some food products that we sell and they are quite a hit. Because they are dried, they add no moisture to the product that must be subtracted elsewhere. Customers love to just bite into something and have all that cherry flavor just zap your mouth.

Traverse Bay produces the best dried cherries available anywhere. Period. They're nice and tart with a bit of sugar to further enhance the intense, satisfying flavor. The four-pound bulk purchase is a great way to stock up affordably--I repackage most of the cherries in pint containers and freeze them for future use. They enhance breakfast cereal and muffins as well as fruit and green salads, but I enjoy them most as a snack. I keep thinking I'll try other Traverse Bay fruits, but I cannot forsake my true love. 🍒❤🍒❤🍒❤🍒❤🍒❤

I have ordered these cherries bi-monthly for a few years now.I used to have my family send them from Traverse City, but this is much less expensive and easier. These are so good- I make homemade granola and also use them in my oatmeal every morning instead of sugar. I hope the cherry business up there stays afloat, I don't want to have to start getting my dried cherries from Turkey!

Fabulous Product. I discovered these cherries in late 2015. Since then, I have ordered over 20 boxes in two and a half years. These are the best dried cherries I have found. They are plump and tasty, with the natural tartness balanced with just the right amount of sugar. They are great for snacking by themselves, used in recipes and are fabulous in trail mix. Traverse Bay also makes a chocolate covered version that I buy for a holiday treat when entertaining: Traverse Bay Fruit Chocolate Covered Dried Cherries, 4 Pound. My favorite trail mix recipe, what I call Perfect Mix, is equal parts Traverse Bay Dried Cherries, Planters Lightly Salted Cocktail Peanuts Planters Cocktail Peanuts, Lightly Salted, 16 Ounce Canister and Blue Diamond Lightly Salted Almonds Blue Diamond Almonds, Low Sodium Lightly Salted, 16 Ounce. If you try it, I am sure you'll like it. Some reviews & questions mention pits, and there are occasional pits...a reality that seems inevitable with a mechanically pitted fruit. Pits are rare enough that you can go multiple boxes without any, but they will occasionally happen.

Northern Michigan is tart cherry country, so it's no surprise that these dried cherries from Traverse City are the best I've eaten. I use them in salad, scones, and biscotti -- and also for snacking. I sprinkle them on cheese boards and add them to chicken salad. Because I like them much more than Craisins, I often substitute them for dried cranberries in recipes. Despite the fact that they are dried, they are juicy and fresh tasting. I can taste the quality, and it makes the emergency cherries I bought in the grocery store seem like leather in comparison. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

This was a reorder because they are soft, chewy, tart and fabulous. While dried fruit is available here, some types are really costly - tart cherries especially - so to be able to get such quality for the price is a major treat. Know that some are concerned about the "sugar content", but it is important to know that cherries are higher in fruit sugar (fructose) than many other fruits - and that is what is reflected in the number. They are, as stated tart - and yummy.

What a delicious product. These cherries are perfectly tart/sweet and you can easily imagine the tree they were picked from. Being from Texas I mix them with a handful of fresh pecans and it’s a perfect snack. Also great in yogurt, by themselves, ice cream or even a few in a glass of white wine;). Awesome product.
