I bought this Feb. 2017 and it is now October 2017. I haven't had one single problem. I always have some concerns when purchasing refurbished products. But, I haven't been disappointed. Technology changes so quickly, it's so much cheaper to buy refurbished. When this one stops working, then I will purchase a newer one. I've head lots of Netgear products and I've never had any problems with them.

Heck yes! A great priced modem/ router combo for when my modem finally gave in. Easy to set up and working great so far! The package contained instructions on how to get the serial number off your computer so just pull that up before you give your internet company a call (or while you are on hold) and you are good to go. Plus side: now that I have this, it cleaned up a lot of space rather than having the separate modem and router before. I see it didn't work for some reviewers but give it a shot ! You have 30 days to return it and I think it is well worth the savings.

Good price, Super easy setup through xfinity and AWESOME wifi signal I have 1700sq foot house am a cable cutter and have Xbox live 5 other devices and they all pull internet (same time kuz of kids YouTube and my online tv.) no problems so far. It's very small also, only thing I have noticed is that it gets warm fast but I haven't had it drop wifi or lose signal or anything no resets yet either. 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz work great also the Ethernet cable and netgear genie worked for me super easy..Netgear products for life.

I wasn't sure if buying the refurbished would be a great idea, but the new one wasn't ready to ship. As other reviewers have stated, they serial number is crossed out, and your internet company will need it, however the serial number was easily obtained by signing onto the router- something you would likely have done or had to do anyway! Write it down on the instructions, along with the password and you'll be in, and stay in business.

Easy to configure and install. Works well. Both 2.4ghz and 5ghz work well. Netgear Genie app is useful to monitor channel conflicts in neighborhood. I purchased extended warranty for 4 years (very inexpensive), just in case, since this was a refurbished unit. I'd recommend that. Paid less than $50 for this unit. Will save $400 over 4 years against rental from my cable provider who was charging $11 per month.

I gave the cable company back it's modem and router, and had this one hooked up in less than 10 minutes! it only took that long because I was waiting on the cable rep( TimeWarner/Spectrum to key in the information over the phone, by than I had my network set up already! I'm also saving$10.00 bucks a month and will pay it's self off in 5. Wifi & wired internet works great! I've been using it over a week now, it's fast and should have done this sooner. Instructions are very easy to read and understand!

Great price for a cable modem. I wouldnt recommend this product for everyone , but people with average to light internet use will find this device capable. For example I bought for my parents so they could avoid the rental fee from TW, they have a nest thermostat, ipad, desktop and roku, it fits there needs perfectly and was easy to setup , simply plug it in and call time warner to activate.

We purchased this as a way to avoid Comcast's $12 monthly rental fee. I was nervous about buying a refurbished unit, but I figured if it lasts 6 months, it will have paid for itself! I've been using it for over a month now and have had absolutely no problems at all!! Knock on wood! :) This router works even better than the one we rented from Comcast. We would have to reboot that one at least once or twice a week. Haven't had to do that once with this one! We watch YouTube videos in a room on the other side of the house from this router (through 4-5 walls) and have not had any problems at all. I am so glad we went with this. I honestly don't have any cons for this product. We just use it to stream Netflix and normal internet usage. We don't do any gaming, so I can't speak to how it would work for that.

I bought this modem last week, technically. There was an issue with the first one that arrived. Amazon was quick in getting a replacement sent out, at no extra cost. I was very happy with their solution and response too my problem. The second modem that arrived, worked great immediately. I plugged it in, my ISP had it up an running in no time. Plus, my monthly fee for using their equipment is gone. I had a 3 in 1 modem through my ISP. Which had their voice service, WIFI and of course Ethernet ports for hardwiring a computer, or computers. I had nothing but issues with it. I had my ISP swapping out those modems non-stop, plus I was paying a $10/month fee for it. I just never got one that didn't disconnect itself 15 times a day. I called my ISP and got rid of their voice service, went back too just Internet. Ever since I got this Netgear modem/router and hooked it up, my Internet has stayed connected solidly for at least 3 days now. No issues at all. So I am very happy with this product. Sure, it's not the newest one out their, but it definitely gets the job done!

This device is fantastic ! I upgraded my Xfinity line with 75 MBPS bandwidth recently. Wanted to avoid monthly modem rental with a affordable Netgear solution. I am getting ~75-80 MBPS on LAN and 50-55 MBPS on Wifi across my big apartment with 4-5 devices connected in parallel. Live Streaming, VPN, Screen Share, Gaming are working quite good. I am overall satisfied with the device.
