Ok, I bought this with some trepidation. 88% off? I mean $49 dollars for a $400+ piece of software? Well it does work, it will download. it really is Corel Painter. The brush realism is outstanding, I also use Photoshop CC 2015, and while I will continue to use it this product adds some much needed artistic flare. Watercolor brushes/painting mode vs effects give this an edge over Ps CC, Also the other artistic brushes make this a needed addition for artists.

The layers system sucks. The hot keys sucks. The layout sucks. Everything sucks. But why I gave it five stars? Because, It could be The best painting experience you will ever have. This software is focusing on the brushes so much, to a point it neglects the other features . It keeps the painting very traditional and realistic. As if painting in real life , not digitally. Even almighty Photoshop can not compete in terms of brushes . I have tried Photoshop, GIMP, Krita, SketchBook. None of them paint the way this software does. Caution: This software is not flexible, has some bugs and sometimes gets slow. So my advice is to combine this software with other software that has what this software lacks.

I was looking for a good painting program on PC since i am doing my best to avoid Adobe and their forced subscription model for their creative suite. No matter how you feel about this programs features or user interface you cannot argue that this is an incredible deal even if Painter 2017 may be released soon. I also took the plunge and ordered an inexpensive graphics pen tablet and plan to really enjoy rediscovering my art. I am not sure if this price is temporary or permanent but i did not want to risk it so jumped on it immediately.

great deal on excellent software!!! Thank you. I love it...

Painter has been and will continue to be my go to art program for PC.

great piece of software

Very nice deal!

Exceptional price. For full version. Downloaded and works perfectly!

I love the product, I'm annoyed that the next day after I bought it the price dropped over 25%.

Painter is a digital program for creative artists and photographers. Each new version offers new opportunities for the artist on a more responsive and stable platform. I never cease to wonder at the variety of ways that Painter allows one to explore new colors, textures, contours, patterns and different mediums of art in one program: Sketching, oils, watercolors, pastels, photo editing and glorious abstracts. The best new addition to Painter 2016 is the Dynamic Speckles Mode for creating Natural-media brushstrokes. This New Dynamic Speckle technology is based on Particle System physics and brush thickness control. It allows the creation of a continuous brushstroke from small spots of color of speckles. The Dynamic Speckles mode can be used particularly with Bristle, Real Bristle, and Particle Brushes in order to fully assess its capabilities. These dynamic brush strokes can appear as varied as the imagination can conceive and they are generated as you paint. I did not find the Dynamic Speckles Mode as exciting as the Particle Brushes of version 2015, but they really do add a new dimension to watercolor brushes with slow diffusion. Another addition to Painter 2016 is Audio Expression Mode (as you paint the brush stroke is synchronized with an audio input device, such as music or your voice.) I tried the Audio Expression mode with my most dynamic Bach Cantata, but I was not impressed that it contributed much spontaneous expression. The Liquid ink variants are particularly expressive: Liquid Ink Gravity Particles, Liquid Ink Flow Particles, Liquid Ink Spring Particles, Watercolor Gravity Particles, Watercolor Flow Particles, and Watercolor Spring Particles. The Hint Box was a welcome surprise. While I struggled to eliminate an impasto brush stroke in a painting, up popped the Hint Box. It suggested three ways to turn off the active brush use of impasto. Fantastic! Context-sensitive Hints are also displayed about brushes. You can find out quick information about how to make the most out of particles, watercolor, and other brushes. The new Welcome Screen has been greatly expanded. It can be used for starting or opening an image, choosing a workspace, accessing online learning videos, looking for new brushes and other online contents, as well as visiting artwork galleries. It gives you immediate access to many helpful videos about Painter 2016 by master digital artists. I particularly enjoyed Winifred Whitfield’s explanation of her watercolor background textures. Adobe Photoshop Brush File Import is a new addition for those who love their Photoshop Brushes. I think just the opposite, Photoshop should import Painter Brushes. I give Painter 2016 4 Stars ****
