Dramatic headline, I know. I got this light, which gives off a nice, bright colored light. I've always gone for the "natural" look and have live plants. They seem to be doing well with it. What I didn't realize is the night setting is a glow light. As you can see in the pictures, I now have a glow tank. Never was interested, and never considered buying a plastic plant - let alone a neon one - but unknowingly I got the glow light, and hey, it looks awesome!

These lights look amazing on my 10 gallon aquariums. They are extremely inexpensive for how good they look. The lights are no frills with only full on and blue only settings. The only negative is that the expanding brackets are a bit flimsy when pulled out to fit a standard 10 gallon. I put a small blob of silicon where the brackets slide into the light to keep them from pulling out. I recommend these lights for anyone that wants a nice light for very little money. I'm happy with both lights I purchased.

The light works perfectly and gives off a great deal of beautiful, bright light into my aquarium. My aquatic plants must love this fact, too, because they are growing like crazy and are a beautiful green! My fish look beautiful as you can see their true colors. Because they are LED lights, they are cheap to run and give off no heat at all! Amazon's price and Prime shipping without tax made this an even better bargain. I love the fact that the light is able to be adjusted and fit my 15 gallon tank easily and securely. My fish like it and my plants LOVE it! I use it in two tanks. It can be adjusted easily to fit a 15 gallon tank, but that is just about the limit of the extensions on the unit. If you pull the extensions out too far, they will pull right out. They do go back into the unit easily, though. To be honest, the light will tend to "dip" a bit if the extensions are pulled all the way, but the beauty of the lights more than makes up for any offset in appearance. You have an option to use just the blue lights, but they are much too dark, and you cannot see the fish or inside of the aquarium well if you use that choice. Perhaps, it's supposed to be a "night look" for the aquarium, but I think the LED lights, even on the blue setting, would be too stressful for the fish if left on all night, or even for an extended period of time once you turn off the white LED lights alone. I just use the white LED setting, and utilize a timer to turn my light on and off each day. I use this light on both of my tanks because I love it!

I own a 55 gal tank with a split frame. Was getting tired of the old tank cover & light setup and decided to try these. Because I haven't received the glass tops yet to replace the original covers, I installed these with the old covers in place. Just took out the fluorescent lamps and set these two LED lamps in their place. They're a little shorter than the old lamps but that doesn't matter at all. I extended the brackets a couple of inches each side. There is plenty of light coming into the tank - it's pretty bright. Pros: LEDs last much longer than fluorescent bulbs. LEDs don't give out heat. They're bright & clean lights. Light-weight & easy to install. Cons: The power cord is a bit short, esp if you have a larger tank like I do and need more than one lamp. To avoid using extension cords and finding a new location for the timer, I had to set the two lamps with the switch and power cord sides facing each other (in the center). Manual light setting: changing from light & blue mode requires manually pushing the switch. It would have been nice to have a built in timer that automatically switches the daylight to moonlight setting. Other than that I love these. I will take add'l photos once my new glass hoods arrive.

The price is unbeatable, the light spectrum is good enough it supports coral. I am useing them on my 3.5gallon saltwater fishtank. I read a few bad reviews that me worried to buy this light but I'm glad I did. Please note the other reviews on the adjustable top rail, it does not have a way to lock in at a length so it might not be good if u don't have a glass top on your tank. But I leave them on 24/7 blue light at night and white during the day and so far I haven't had any operational problems with this product they are very bright perfect for a small fishtank.

I got one of the Deckey White+Blue LED arrays about three months ago. Only thing I didn't like was that the blue and white are on the same power line so I can't use my timer to simulate sunrise/sunset. I came in to find that it had fallen into the tank. My daughter said it had been that way all day and she just thought that's what I wanted. We blame the cat. I know it's not designed for submerged operation, but it happened with no apparent damage to the light or the fish. I put a little gaffers tape in the joint where the legs stick in and it stabilized nicely. At first, I was using it with the included "legs," and trying to do an open-top setup---until one of my gourami decided to go for a walk. I ordered a second one, and tied them into the lid of my biocube. I had to pull all of the original hardware out of the lid because about six years of salt-water duty had rendered it useless, but then I just screwed some paracord into the existing mounting points and tied the Deckey lights into the lid. It's been running for over two weeks now with no problems. They aren't submerged, but they ARE completely drenched and they do not seem to be having any issues at this point.

10/10 love it. I’ve bought this twice in 2 different sizes. I used the smallest/cheapest option the 12” originally to see if it would work to help grow my one dying plant in my 20 gallon Long freshwater tank. It worked beautifully! My amazon sword that was dying is now growing OUT of the water and the second I added is doing almost as well! I love that the power cord detaches at the lamp, it’s SO much easier and I’m not having to maneuver anything around. Fair price for the quality of light you get! I only used the one 12” across the width of one part of the tank and have had PHENOMENAL growth with it along with root tabs. I’m making the upgrade to a 29 gallon soon and got the 24-36” (I think) to with the length of the 20 long/29. I set it up today and it took mere seconds and I love it as much as my first if not more!

I am very please with this item. I was upset at first because I thought the night light will come on by itself. Then I went and look for the cord to see if it has adjustable switch and it didn't, so I then hit the light switch button and realize it has 3 switches. I was happy then because I notice it had the 3 switches on this 1 button you will never NO it those, so now I was able to see the bright white light for the Day time when I hit the left side of the switch for the day and in the middle was the off switch then when I hit the right side of the button it was the Night darker light.

After ten days or so this light has worked great. The light it emits, which is a mix of white and blue, makes everything in the aquarium stand out. For night time there is an actinic like all blue mode, perfect for Glofish and glowing ornaments. The frame of the light is adjustable to fit a good range of aquarium sizes. It will fit both framed and frameless tanks. It is slim enough to be used with a hinged glass aquarium cover and allow unhindered access to the water.

got the 20" one for my 20 tall. perfect amount of light. my tank is fulllllll of tannins from driftwood so its sort of tea orange and this light is bright enough so i can actually see my fish
