Even though the official ting website wouldn't allow getting this Ting card just for simple cellular use without a cellphone. I was still able to activate my phone even though I'm not in an official supported Ting area, but roaming. So it's still baffling how the official Ting website refuses to provide any service, yet if you 'have a SIM card', they'll let you try otherwise. Just one big warning to others. CHECK SERVICE AREAS ON THE TING WEBSITE. If you're roaming, you will NOT HAVE DATA. You'll still be able to use text messaging or SMS, and call others with the same Ting rate.

I have had Ting for 3 years for me and my kids iphones. The version I have uses the TMobile network-- which is OK, a few dead areas around town, but I knew that going in, just looking at coverage maps. If you can live with the TMobile network limitations. Ting is great! Never a problem getting a hold of tech support, although I have only needed support maybe two or three times, other than setting up the phones. I have control over the kids data usage, encourages them to be responsible to manage their data and use wifi whenever possible. Yea unlimited data on a mobile network with no coverage gaps would be awesome, but I am paying about $60/month for three phones. (thats $60 total-- thats $20 each!!) The aggravations are minor for us, once you learn to take advantage of wifi hotspots. Great price for the performance

My daughter uses Ting service on her Amazon prime exclusive phone Moto G Plus (5th Generation) with this Ting GSM SIM card with ease. Ting Service has nice web portal and allows you to customize the plan using your Account tools and saves you money as long as you understand the limits of the service. The more services & data you use the more you pay. But the basic service when used seems reliable and that is important. The average bill can be as low as 10 to as high as 35 depending on the usage. If you tend to use fewer than 500 text messages, you end up paying for fewer than 500 text messages price. If you intend to use no voice minutes for say a smart tablet device, then you don't pay for any voice minutes. If you seldom surf the internet and use less than 1 GB of mobile data... then you pay only what you use. Ideal service if you can control your usage. Minimum is $6 no matter what you use which is reasonable. Now.. if I can have my wife use this service ....!! Well that is a whole new battle... which I know I cannot win. Rating with five stars!

I wouldn't use this service if you want unlimited anything but we got this for the kids' phones which we only allow call and text so we can keep in touch with them. Keeps the bill low plus you can monitor and control usage from an app on your phone. We disabled data for all of their accounts, if they have a smart phone they are only allowed to use wi-fi at home. Works great for our family :)

I started with TING in order to use on extra old smartphone just to use the Alexa app to control my Dad's Echo Alexa. it was easy to install and their website is reasonable. The hardest part was understanding that it's what you use that you pay for. Perfect for my purposes. The first month was $12!!! And some of that was just me figuring it out. I think next month it'll be even less since there will be no texts. If you use as a v regular service however it may add up.

Ting is your ideal service provider if you’re a light user. I’ve used ting for over a year now and saved a lot of money. Average bill price comes to about $20 vs the $45 bill from my previous provider. This is usually the lowest tiers of talk, text and data. Never once dropped a call, missed a text, or struggled for data. The GSM/CDMA option is a huge perk, however, it would be an absolute game changer if the two could be utilized simultaneously on one device. Personally, I think the tiers should get an upgrade. The lowest tier of talk should end at 500 minutes, lowest tier of text 500 and lowest tier of data at 500mb, totaling to $17/month after taxes. The provider I am looking at, spectrum mobile, has 1gb, unlimited talk/text for $17 after taxes. Other MVNOs such as wing mobile also offers unlimited talk/text and 500mb for $17. Mint mobile offers unlimited talk/text and 5gb data for $20/month. Quite the bang for the buck. So far, ting has been good for me, but the tiers are beginning to become outdated.

There are three different sizes that this sim card can fit, just punch out the size you need. Verify your phone is compatible with ting before ordering this. I love my ting plan, you only pay what you use and you can set cutoffs so you don't go over your bugdet. Ting also has the nicest and best customer service. Issues are solved quickly and efficiently. There are dead zones though. If you live in a rural location this may not be for you. I personally live closer to the city and it has worked perfectly for me.

So happy i dropped verizon and started using ting. 90% of the time I use my phone when i'm connected to wifi and most of my communication is over messaging apps, so i don't need crazy expensive plans. My ting bill has been $20-30 the last few months depending on how much data i use. Love it. With ting, the less you use the more you will save vs a more traditional plan. If your one of those people that has a family plan and uses 20GB of data a month, this probably isn't for you :-)

We've had Ting for 2 years. Had a bit of trouble with my ZTE phone's configuration, but called Ting and they answered with a real, friendly, English-as-a-first-language person right away! They walked me through it over the phone and made sure it was working before ending the call. Customer Service?--Fantastic! As far as the cell service, it is every bit as good as TMo (which we switched from). I've been in remote areas and got the same reception as my friends with Ver and TMo. I have never had so much as a burp from this in the 2 years we've had it. The rest of the family is switching to Ting. You should, too.

We've had Ting for over 3 years. They support both sprint and t mobile. This card is for the t mobile network. Roaming calls are on att and do not cost extra. While the average person on ting spends 20-something dollars, our bill is often lower because I use google voice for text messages and am around wifi quite a bit. When I travel, I may spend a little more, but on average my family is actually saving thousands of dollars each year. Here's the kicker: phones can be complicated and ting customer support is the absolute best I've ever experienced from any company ever. Sometimes I wonder how they do this: service + low cost. I think I answer lies in the fact they don't have a crazy marketing budget, they don't have a physical store, and their website and control panel is dead simple. - Best customer support ever. It's like your hipster nerd friend is supporting you if you have a question- even if it's a dumb question - Save thousands; no contract - Straightforward control panel + app - No app required - Real cell service: not voip - Never get dropped calls with roaming on att (or Verizon if you get a CDMA card) - This plan is not for single people who constantly stream videos every month over cellular; if you are using 5-10 GB of data with only one person on a plan, look at free streaming options and unlimited plans from others. If you do it only a few times a year, ting will still be competitive - If you have kids, you can set and remove limits on devices very very easily - Supports band 12 if your device and T mobile support it for good indoor coverage - No gimmicks or deals. You can get referral credit when you sign up, but that's it. Pricing is simply low and service is simply great - I use ting on both iPhone and android phones - Recently top-rated from a leading consumer rating and reporting publication that I'm not sure I'm allowed to name in this review As a developer and phone nerd, I have devices on many mvnos (cellular resellers) and networks. I honestly hope this review encourages people to give up junk customer support, crazy advertising campaigns, confusing terms, and terrifying prices from the major carriers and tricky "free" services that all have gotchas. You get what you pay for... but with ting your not paying for tricky advertising, retail stores, and red tape. Ting is simply the best. Not saying I do, but I think I can regularly buy a new iPad and new iPhone for each person in my family that switches to ting. It's that good.
