I got this just a couple days ago and I think it's going to be GREAT! It was easy to set up and my little Yorkie immediately started walking in and out of it and taking his bones in to chew on them. We got this so that when we travel for Super League Baseball our little dog will be able to go along with us and will have somewhere to sit during the games and to sleep in the hotels. I love the size, and how easy it is to set up and take down. I love the little pockets on the side and will use them to fit in his traveling food/water bowls and treats. The bag that comes with is is going to be great as well. I did have a little bit of trouble taking it down at first. The company sends along instructions fro taking it down but I found a video on YouTube that made it very clear and very easy to do. I would suggest watching that a couple times so that you don't fold it down wrong and end up bending the wires. The only issue...if you can even call it that...is there is a VERY strong plastic smell when you take it out of the bag and set it up. We had to put it out in the garage to air out. I'm sure the smell will fade though.

I can’t say enough about this item. It’s working so well for my two dachshunds that I bought a second one to keep at my daughters house for when we visit. We have a new puppy so I wanted a way to keep her contained while working on potty training and this is easy to clean when there’s an accident. We use it without the top as my dogs are short and there’s enough room for they dogs to play. This item is easy to move around to different areas of the house, I just smush it together to move through doorways and around tables, then sit it down and it goes right back to shape. It’s also easy to collapse back into its carry case for storage.

I had my doubts when my wife told me she had ordered this for a rescue kitten that we are taking care of. He had been abandoned by his mother at about 2 weeks old. The main issue we had with him was that his litter box use was very hit-and-miss. So every day we had to clean the bathroom floor when we came in from work. My wife thought this enclosure may help keep him confined to a smaller area so he would learn to use the box more regularly. I'm happy to say that I was wrong and she was right. The enclosure is large enough for him to have room to play and run around but also keeps him local to his litter box and food dish. We believe this has helped tremendously in getting him to use the litter box all the time. This enclosure is built well and made of quality canvas and mesh material. And as an added bonus, which we had not thought about, it has been instrumental in slowly and safely introducing him to our tabby cat which we have had for 4 years. We could not be happier with this enclosure, and would definitely recommend ordering it if you have any pets that you would like to keep corralled into an area, but still give them the freedom to run around and play. Great product!

The minute you grab the carrying bag, you'll grin at your new purchase. It's just a taste of what's in store for you as you open what will be one of those all to rare cases of what you got MUCH MORE for your money than you expected. I didn't see any instructions, so was a little wary, but alas, nothing could be simpler. Take it out of the bag, release the elastic holding it closed and almost by itself, the panels poof out into a perfect octagon. The fabric is nice thickness and quality, as is the mesh screening. There are two zip open doors opposite one another. The circular (quadruple?) thick floor and a mesh roof can be zipped on, or you can use it just as a corral as is. The mesh roof is partially covered - I think the designers thought to ensure your pet had a shady retreat if the enclosure was left out in the sun, or in the rain, I suppose. I set it up as a corral in the house just to see what it was like. Within minutes, our cat was at the door wanting to get inside and check it out. I unzipped it and he entered like a middleweight entering the ring. I couldn't resist getting a cat toy - the fishing rod kind - to get him bounding around the "ring" like he was in a title fight. He certainly wasn't shy of the enclosure, and hung out in his new "fort" for a while. As mentioned the fabric is surprisingly thick. The mesh screening? There's no way your going to keep a clawing or biting pet from destroying anything of this nature. The frame is shaped and reinforced by some type if rod material sewn into the perimeter of each panel. This, and the rest of the well sewn and reinforced design, is what allows it to literally assemble itself. Disassembly is just as easy. With no instructions, I winged it. I didn't have to force anything, so I think I did it right. Remove the roof and floor. Grab two opposite corners and pull them together. The octagon collapses upon itself, and the you fold it in half, like a simple origami waiting for next time. Unlike every tent you ever bought, it will easily fit back in the carry/storage bag. There are two mesh (Velcro closure) pockets, one of which contains "hold down staked". This is the only area where the designers may have gotten it wrong. They are just thin eight inch metal rods. I don't think they would do anything except in just the right moist turf. Sand? The octagon would be a tumble weed at the beach. Hard ground? You'll need a hammer. If it's going to be windy, I suggest appropriate tent stakes to keep your pets in the same county. Time will tell how the material, mesh, zippers and stitching hold up. But at this price point, I can't think that I will be disappointed. Summary: - easy assembly and disassembly. - quality, well thought out design. - I bought a different (hoops) design several years ago. That one is flimsy by comparison, hard to use and I find it virtually impossible to figure out how to fold the loops so it collapses back into its bag. I'm sure I've never done it right. It cost almost twice as this. It will never be used again. - perfect as a quick pop-out corral if your animals aren't jumpers, it put n the floor and ceiling for a more secure environment. - I can see this being useful at home, at the beach, when staying at a hotel, neighbors, or the prime reason we bought ours - if we ever get caught in an emergency shelter. You will not be disappointed.

When I found myself agreeing to foster* a nine-month-old kitten who had been found by a city worker in a storm drain, I knew I needed a way to keep her quarantined from my other cat while we had her vetted. I wanted something spacious enough to keep her in while I was at work, while also being more welcoming than a metal cage. This was perfect on all fronts - easy to set up, super easy to clean when she discovered that she could throw her litter everywhere in order to get our attention, and the kitten loved her little playpen. The zipper/velcro combo door flaps allow you to either seal up the pen, or keep the flap open for your pet to explore. The mesh was sturdy, and we didn't have any issues with it like other reviewers. We were able to fit her food, litter, and a small bed in there pretty comfortably. This playpen also came in handy when introducing the kitten to our older cat - it allowed them to sniff at each other without being able to beat the crap out of each other, as cats are wont to do. Overall, I'm glad we ordered this, and we got great use out of it. It folds up well for storage, so we can keep it on hand in case the need for it ever arises again. (*Read as: attempted to foster and ended up adopting her instead. The perils of the cat life, am I right?)

My cat Riley loves his ToysOpoly Pet Playpen! I bought the ToysOpoly Pet Playpen hoping it would be the solution I needed to keep my cat safe while traveling from Florida to North Carolina. Boy, did it ever deliver! I received the Playpen one week before we travelled to NC. I set it up in our living room and Riley immediately went in and scoped it out. I kept it set up in the house for a few days to make sure he got used to it. He began to hang out in the Playpen while we were packing boxes for the move. It became his safe place. When it came time to move, we set the Playpen up in the back of my SUV. It fit perfectly with the back seats down. The two zipper doors made it super convenient to have the front door up by the driver and passenger seats and the back door near the hatchback where we set up his litter box. I put his favorite blankets, food and water inside the Playpen and there was still a lot of room for him to move around. While traveling, I kept the front and back doors of the Playpen unzipped. He hung out at the front door near the drivers seatbthe entire time. I did zip the front door of the Playpen closed before opening the car door when we made stops. I wanted to make sure Riley didn't bolt! Thankfully, it all worked out and he's here safe with us in North Carolina. We still have the Playpen set up in the spare bedroom room, which is now his favorite place to sleep. Here's a picture of Riley in his ToysOpoly Pet Playpen during our travels.

One of my three cats is a large male who loves people but also has a tendency to scratch them when he tires of their attention. I bought this playpen so he can be around visitors without causing bodily injury. But in reality it has been useful for so much more...we also use it for a sort of "time out" (which probably sounds nicer than "cat jail") if one of the cats is getting overly pesky (usually our male cat who, in addition to scratching visitors, also purposely knocks things off counters, bookcases and fireplace mantles if he is not getting enough attention), if I need to perform a task sans feline (usually paperwork AKA their favorite place to sit on top of) or if a workman is coming over and I don't want to worry about the cats escaping through an open door. The cats much prefer hanging out in their little playpen in these situations than being trapped in the basement. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "little" --- this thing is huge (I guess I couldn't visualize the measurements when I ordered -- could have easily gotten away with the next smaller size -- it does take up the majority of our family room floor's free space.) There is more than enough room inside for three adult cats to hang out in together. In fact, it's big enough for an adult to crawl inside and curl up (not that I would have actually tried that)(recently.) It was very easy to set up, although the zipper on top on mine does get hung up in one spot where the seam must extend out a little bit too much. But I can wiggle it past there without too much effort. The zippers on the doors work very well and quickly so if I need to I can imprison my darling kitties before they even think to try and escape. On the topic of zippers: One of the reasons that I picked this particular playpen is that the bottom is zippered on (not velcro-ed or sewn on.) I know for a fact that my little darlings would easily escape an enclosure if the bottom were simply attached by velcro, but I wanted the option to unzip the bottom for cleaning when the inevitable hairball is deposited on it. I can't speak to the folding-up process as I have not collapsed this playpen since it arrived more than a month ago. The majority of the time, we leave the door(s) open (rolled up) and the cats just go in there to chill on their own. I threw in some of those old towels that don't ever seem to not smell a little musty and it immediately became their favorite place to take naps in (is it just my cats, or do all cats love those stinky-ish towels?) Overall, I am very impressed with the sturdiness of the structure. The mesh is plasticized (or similar process) and is very heavy duty/rugged. Our big ole male has hooked his claws into the mesh door and pulled/pushed on it with his considerable body weight and it wasn't stretched, torn or snagged. The metal framework is also substantial and not a bit flimsy. The fabric is thick and canvas-like. It is rare that a product not only meets but exceeds your expectations, but this ToysOpoly Pet Playpen certainly does.

Pretty great for my purposes. I adopted a puppy and didn't want to leave her in a crate, but also needed a way to supervise her while at home and potty training. She's made it her safe space to wander in and out of as she pleases, which is made easy by the two zipped doors on the side. But it also contains her well if I zip everything up. If you have a smart dog like I do (lab mix), there are a couple issues I ran into with her escaping. The side doors have two zippers, and if I left both at the bottom of the door, she was able to paw and nudge until she separated the zippers and ran out. This was fixed by making sure both zippers were at the top, but I'm a little worried she will figure it out again when she gets taller. The other issue I had was that if I left the sides closed and the top unzipped even a little, she was able to jump on the sides and just barely get her paws over the edge. This resulted in the side caving inwards, and after a few tries she successfully jumped out. It's just a simple fix of not leaving the top open so it's fine. It's also nice because the zipper on top overlaps itself by an inch or so making it harder for the puppy to pull the same move it did on the side doors. The whole thing is of course flexible enough to be folded, but the sides seem to stand pretty firm once in place, unless jumped on obviously. The mesh has been holding up pretty well against my teething pup so far. It's also just a really good size for a puppy. I'm able to fit her bowls, bed, potty pads, and toys all in there for her. When she is full grown at about 40 pounds it will probably be enough for her to lay and turn around which are the standard requirements for a crate. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

This has been the best thing that I purchased to ground my new kitten in the home. Cats are curious but get overwhelmed so this was a great tool to use to establish a safe homebase for her. I put her food and a litter box in it with a few toys then slowly opened up other rooms in the home for her to get familiar with for her to explore. She would go and explore but then come back to her a little playpen home and stay there for a minute as a "safety zone" then go back out and explore more so it was a real great stabilizing technique. I also travel so I bring this as it is easy to fold up and it provides a familiar and comforting place of recognition that is her home even when we are in a hotel room. She scratches at the mesh but it has not ripped, it's definitely good quality. The windows and octagon size make it roomy enough for a cat so that they feel like they are in the open. It's a great place to put her in if I need to contain her for a bit and because we've used it as a familiar, safe and stable homebase for her, she likes to go in it.

So to start off I know this was intended for pets but I bought it for my 7 month old baby for when we go camping this spring. This playpen surprised me with how much space and the quality is great! I love that it folds down so easily and can be taken on the go! 5 stars for sure
