We ordered this just a few weeks ago. The price is amazing and it came with ink so there's a plus. You do have to order a cord to connect it to your computer. Make sure you order the right cord! We've used it just a handful of times but each time has been great. It works well with my avery stickers and the colors come out great. Our set up went perfectly, I read that some people had some issues but I didn't experience any, read the instructions and everything should go fine!

This is the HP Deskjet 1112 which is of the (1110 Series). That last part was a bit confusing when looking for ink. I got the printer today and set it up with no problem and used internet connection to update the software. My first full page color picture blew my socks off because this is a really cheap printer and the color quality is much better than I expected. The Black and white text printing is also fine. There is a helper program you get that shows the ink condition level. It does use ink pretty fast so I just ordered the XL refill ink cartridges. XL is about double the pages or so they say. What it boils down to is the money is in the cartridges no the printer body. Printer has a settable auto shutoff default is 2 hrs. Wish there was a way to keep household dust off unused paper in the feeder (perhaps another piece of paper?). Does NOT come with a needed USB cable so have one ready.Using Windows 10 Pro 64bit. This is replacing an old no longer supported Cannon that was 10x the cost but it's headed for the trash. Drop a front door to easily replace the ink cartridges. Remember for best color pictures use a photo grade not what you use for everyday text. If your picture comes out still wet you probably are using the wrong type of paper.

Another Amazon warehouse special that was just like new. Not in OEM box, but was still shrink wrapped and included both starter carts along with a CD for those without internet access to install driver. I have printed card stock, labels and 3"x4" badges in addition to regular paper, paper path is shallow bend (about 45deg). Buy a cartridge refill kit when you order printer, the HP carts are vastly overpriced due to the printer being so cheap. You can (generally) refill carts several times for a couple of bucks each time before they wear out. Also very light to carry around to events, beats the expensive "portable" printers (but likely not as drop resistant). Does not lock the print head when off, so make sure the cartridge end is lower when transporting in a car seat or similar.

This is a simple, $30 printer. If you want a bell or whistle, buy something else. I use mine to print fabric sheets for quilts. The printer does a great job of that. To figure out how the pages would go through (orientation) I put a small x in the corners of a paper and ran it through using almost zero ink. It does not hook up to my MacBook Pro USB-C port, BUG a very inexpensive adaptor makes it and the rest of my devices like the 5T back up and the DVD burner connect, too. If I put a good image on the screen, I get a good print. Now, on my cotton fabric sheets for the quilts, I pump up the pictures a bit to give them a little more pop. The cotton sheets tend to subdue the colors just a little. This is a $30 dollar printer. It prints great images on fabric sheets for me. For every day document printing, I have a laser printer. If I were going to do a lot of printing with color pictures, I'd get a color laser. Since what I have is this simple, focussed use, this printer could not be better . . . for me.

20 pages in (in 2 months) I really like this printer. You need to buy the cord as I had read on reviews but it was cheap. I just use it for shipping labels... I recommend it all day for similar use. I just ship things from Ebay on the side... Maybe 10 things a month. If I was doing around 100+ items a month I would invest in something better probably. But with that said... I still really like this printer so far.

This is a printer. It does one thing...print. Then sits there until you ask it to print again. That is all I ask. Added bonuses: It's super light. The color is nice. It's small and folds up to be compact. It uses a common HP ink so easy to find replacement cartridges. It's cheap. The only cons I could see are: It prints pretty slowly...but what rush are you in? c'mon look at the price. You insert paper from the top, I prefer having a bottom loading trap...but why does that even matter? c'mon look at the price I think this is because the ink cartridges are new, but the ink has like a very subtle "faded" look...but are we printing movie tickets or a corporate marketing campaign? c'mon look at the price. Perfect for the regular student and home use. If you want office quality printing buy a more expensive printer or go to Fedex/Staples.

I got this printer when my second printer broke down on me. I was looking for a basic printer but without all the scan, fax and other functions. After looking around and comparing what I needed I settled on this one. I have had a number of HP printers and have been mostly pleased with them overall. Since I have three computers all running Win 10 Pro, I had to decide which system I wanted it on. (This printer has a USB type hook up and has no network setup so if you want to set it up for use on a network with more than one computer then you must "share" it.) I installed the printer on an i3 system and then installed the software provided with it the printer. (One word here. Unless you want a few extra pieces of software installed, you might want to uncheck a few items that are checked to install that you may or may not want.) After installing the software, and hooking up the printer, I checked it out. It printed out a test page from all three network connected computers thru sharing the printer without a problem. I tried printing out a few photos and the results were better than I expected. This printer is a good back up printer to my HP-6940 printer.

I bought this for personal use. I doubt I print 20 pages in a year. My old printer allegedly had scanning and faxing functions, but I could never get them to work, and when it wouldn't even print anymore, I decided to replace it with a printer which is JUST A PRINTER. I ordered a new cable which should arrive on Tuesday, but it looked like the cable from my old HP printer would fit the new one, and I was right. It took longer than I expected for my first document to print, but it came out fine. One important warning: When I went to 123.hp.com to install the software, 123.hp.com wasn't the first link on the page - an ad for some unrelated software was, and I clicked on it by mistake. I was able to stop the download and uninstall it with (hopefully) no harm done.

So tired of expensive ink, so I have now opted for the least desirable choice.... to buy a new printer everytime the ink runs out, because a new printer is cheaper than the ink replacements. It's an insane world we live in. Rather than throw this in the trash I'll see if I can give it away on our local swap page... but even that seems like a tough sell with ink prices being what they are. The printer comes with ink and so at $30 it's a bargain in my book. This printer lasted a full 7 months before the ink conked out on me. I only sporadically print stuff, so probably it just took that long to dry up rather than actually running out - my printer isn't giving me an error message - it's just not printing anything on the paper. I only print maybe a few times every month. Supposedly you can wirelessly print, but I was never able to do that. It does have the plug in to print wired, but you have to supply your own print cable, it is not included in the box. You get just the printer, and ink. A fair deal in my book for this price point.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A printer with one button (on-off). Nothing extra, no screens, no scans, no anything else. It just prints, fast, and perfectly. It was easy to set up out of the box, and went to work immediately. I used the enclosed CD for set up. It was a little worrisome, because it didn't make noises as it was installing, and it did take its time, maybe 15 minutes. Good prompts. I did make the mistake of not connecting the usb cord at first, and had to start over, but it let me do that with no problems. The usb cord is not included with this printer, but I had several extras lying around, and I knew this from reading other reviews. People have also said said that that the included ink cartridges are short lived, so I went ahead and bought an extra black ink cartridge for fifteen dollars, but so far I have printed sixty pages with the original. Paper loads easily, comes out smoothly. Cartridges clicked in smoothly. Just make sure the printer is turned on before installing, so the mechanism comes to center position. So far, this no-frills printer is perfect.
