I want to start off by saying that I am a professional chef. This is an amazing buy!!!! Don't hesitate. Just do it. It comes with two pairs of chop sticks and paper liners. My mind was blown. (We just use cabbage leaves or banana leaves in the restaurant.) It is built well and sturdy. Handle is super secure. Buy this steamer and then buy a dumpling book. Treat yo-self.

Well-made, delicious dumplings

This is a really nice bamboo steamer. The liners it comes with make it a no-mess cooking process as well. The chopsticks it comes with are meh, about the quality you get at a takeout place. It has a wonderful bamboo smell as it steam, however, I haven't noticed it carry over into the food I cook in it. When I first got it, I rinsed it completely, let it dry, then steamed it empty and maybe that helped. Great product!

.Nice steamer

I love my new steamer! I used it the other night to steam some vegetables and they came out perfectly. No more mushy veggies! I can't wait to try making dumplings I like the reinforced tiers and cover. It has some weight, so stays in place on my pots better than the un-reinforced steamer did.

My old bamboo steamer fell apart after a few runs, it started splitting from the top seam. When I saw these metal reinforced steamer baskets I was very intrigued. It has held up really well in the multiple times I've used it to steam dumplings, baos, xlbs, etc. I like that it still gives the fragrance of the bamboo but with the reinforcement of the metal so it won't fall apart after a few uses.

I loved this product! I can't believe that I wasn't aware of it before... I made salmon several times since the time of my purchase and every time is delicious.

Easy to use, worth it!

Got this in conjunction with a stainless steel ring to use it over a pot. The parchment circles that came with it were and excellent bonus! This makes my dumplings taste so much better then just steaming them in my rice cooker, and it also helps everything cook faster and provides me more space to make multiple batches at a time. I don't use it every day, but I do use it enough that I can confidently say it was worth the money.

Great buy.

This arrived super early and I immediately used it to make some steam buns. It locks in the steam well and has enough space to really put stuff in there. I also liked that it came with paper to put underneath your food. The bamboo makes it smell a little funny while you’re cooking, and that wasn’t something I had thought about when purchasing, but I would absolutely purchase this again. I’m very happy with my product.

Nice Steamer, I want it to last for many dumplings

Wanted to try my hand at cooking steam buns and remembering my mother steaming veggies WAY more often than I eat now, when I was a kid this way. Its so yummy for just making things softer. The chopsticks and the parchment paper where a nice bonus. Definitely helpful with he paper for the dumplings. I went through a found online method to help wash out your new steamer and the steps were kinda like this: 1st: Wash entire thing quickly in warm water, with LIGHT soap. Enough for the outside and bottom. 2nd: Soak entire thing in hot water from tap for 1 hour. Drain. 3rd: Refill with tap cold water and let soak 2 hours, after that drain and dry well. This is to help seep out some of the fresh bamboo taste. My cooking so far still has it lightly, it just not as pronounced as it would have.

Used it once and it worked great. Each steamer tray help over 10 dumplings and it was easy to clean. If you leave the dumpling, or whatever you are steaming, on the liners for too long after you remove them from the steamer, the dumplings will stick to the liner. You will have to put them back in the steamer and allow the steam to un-stick them.

very beautiful and hardly any steam leaks out, very well fitted. I ordered the metal ring as well to set it on, so you can use different size pots. I hate that most electronic rice steamers are plastic. I use this to steam my veggies, and cook my rice in the water below. One negative is the beautiful metal banding does get super hot, use mittens to remove
