An upgrade in READ speed, write speeds vary
The SanDisk Ultra 80MB/s is a new card that replaces the Ultra 40MB/s. The 80MB/s is the read speed only. SanDisk refers to the write speed as Class 10, which means the card maintains at least 10MB/s continuous write, but does not state a maximum write speed. I tested the following Ultra 80MB/s cards: (2) 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and compare with the previous Ultra 40MB/s cards. I use CrystalDiskMark benchmark (5 passes, 1GB random data) and USB 3.0 card reader. SanDisk Ultra 80MB/s (new version, September 2015) 32GB (1) Read: 94.2 MB/s Write: 43.0 MB/s 32GB (2) Read: 97.7 MB/s Write: 20.9 MB/s 64GB Read: 82.4 MB/s Write: 19.1 MB/s 128GB Read: 97.7 MB/s Write: 38.5 MB/s SanDisk Ultra 40MB/s (old version, 2014-2015) 32GB Read: 47.8 MB/s Write: 19.9 MB/s 64GB Read: 47.8 MB/s Write: 16.2 MB/s READ Speed: Ultra 80MB/s cards exceed 80MB/s read speed and are much faster than the old version. This allows fast downloads from the card to your computer when used with a USB 3.0 card reader. Using USB 2.0 it limits the speed to about 35MB/s. WRITE Speed: Benchmarks can be deceiving! The benchmarks show a big difference in write speed between cards. One 32GB card measured 43MB/s but one from a different source was 20.9MB/s. When writing actual files the write speed varies during transfer. The 128GB card benchmark was 38.5MB/s write, but transferring a large file I see a range between 16-24MB/s throughout the transfer. Only the faster 32GB card was able to maintain above 40MB/s write speed for the duration. There was also a big difference in 512K random write performance between cards (~1MB/s vs 20-24MB/s). Write speed of 15-20MB/s seems to be typical of Ultra cards. They are good for general photography, but not fast enough for extended continuous shooting. Once you hit the buffer limit in the camera it can become very sluggish if the write speed is not high enough. If you only take one shot at a time the write speed speed should be sufficient. I am tempted to remove a star because of the variance between cards, but all cards exceeded their speed ratings. The improved READ speed over the previous version is a benefit. Actual write speed may not be much better than the older cards. You might get an extra fast sample, but do not buy this card expecting outstanding write performance!

A whole lot of memory and FAST.
Purchased a new camera for an very long, inside Alaskan Cruise and since we are going to be taking a lot of pictures and we are going to be away from our computers for several weeks, we wanted a card that we could fit a ton of picture on. This SD Card is rated UHS-1 (for video) and an SD speed class 10, with 6 or better recommended for our camera. Using a Memory Card Calculator(dot com) site it is estimated using JPEG or RAW, 20 megapixal camera and this card, we should be able to take (are you sitting down) 21333.33 pictures using JPEG and 2133.33 pictures using RAW. 2133 / 16 = 133 pictures per day ... this card is plenty. But of course we will take a smaller backup, just in case.

Great card for 1080P video recording
This card has been plenty fast for full 1080P video from my Cannon HR600R camera. I have used it constantly for making YouTube videos and it works great and have been 100% reliable.

Perfect Memory Card! Excellent Amount of Space!
This SanDisk 64GB memory card is awesome! Just barely bought a new Canon camera and didn't have a memory card, so decided to go with this one because of the amount of space for the low price! Definitely what I was looking for. This memory card holds a ton of pictures - that can be taken in super high quality, plus holds a lot of highly quality videos as well. Great speeds, excellent write-ability. When I want to take the pictures/videos off of the memory card, I just plug it into the computer/laptop and I am able to remove the files super easily. Highly recommend this memory card!

Go with high quality SanDisk and you won't chance a disaster!
Work great in both my Canon Rebel T5 and 77D models. Rapid burst shots never buffer it seems when writing to these SD's so I'm thrilled with their performance. I also have lots of faith in SanDisks quality so I don't worry much about card failures or loosing my recent photos. I see newer models in same capacity but with slightly faster speeds, but for cameras shooting ~25MP (4-8MB file sizes) I think this write speed works just fine. Build quality of the card is great too... I've had other brands that start to split apart once you pop them in-out of cameras to laptops several times (looking at you PNY). Overall, great quality card and prices seem to remain competitive to others!

Best memory card I have ever used!!
I bought this memory card to use in my game camera. I had never used anything bigger than an 8 gb card but this one came up for an unbeatable price so I thought I would give it a try. This thing sat out in the game camera for weeks. In the rain and snow and many windy nights this card held strong. When I finally ventured back to my game camera to see what kind of wild creatures were traveling through on the trails what i found was shocking. I had accidentally left he camera on film mode. Anytime a wild beast set foot anywhere near the camera this card fired up and started saving the video that the game camera was recording. I had video of all kinds of terrifying animals such as mountain lions and wolves prowling for their next victim. But the best of all was a video of a cougar pursuing a helpless doe seconds before he pounced and got that nights supper. This amazing video was right at the end of the cards memory, if i had stuck with the 8 gb card I would have missed out on the video of a lifetime. Who knows what crazy things i have missed out on in the past but now i know that i will not miss anything in the future all because of this GREAT MEMORY CARD!!!

MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO RECORD MOVIES ON THIS CARD
***Update*** So after doing a little research I discovered that the fault lies not with Sandisk, but in my Canon FS100. Evidently I bought this camera before class 10 SD cards were a thing and therefore I cannot use this card with this camera if I shoot at maximum quality. Which is fine with me. Buy this card, it's a great product for a great price. Sorry Sandisk - sorry Amazon! Hopefully this info qill be helpful to others using antiquated equipment and failed to read their user manual! I have never had any trouble with Sandisk products until now. I ordered this for my video recorder because it was a great price for the gigabytes. I received it today and gave it a try. I started by initializing it. Then I tried a test video and before I could record anything got the following warning: "MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO RECORD MOVIES ON THIS CARD" (see photo), which is strange given that the product description suggests it be used for video. I tried initializing it again and had the same result. I was able to record video and play it back but I would not want the card to fail while recording something important, so I will be sending it back.

Solid product for point-and-shoot digital cameras
After talking to 'serious amateurs' and a few professionals, I have ceased to use micro SD cards in the adapters (to full-size SD cards) in my digital cameras. Apparently there is risk of data corruption, and loss of transfer speed whenever you use a micro SD card adapter. So I found these San Disk 64 GB SD cards with an adequate speed rating as a 2-pack. The pricing on these seems to be fairly leveled, so I chose this brad as a sort of middle-of-the-road selection. I have only used them one time, so this review is just based on initial use. The camera (Nikon) seems to tolerate them well enough, and I am able to retrieve the images. So far so good. I may update the review after they have been written over several times to comment on any longevity issues.

Great value SD card
I have been buying SanDisk brand of memory cards for years and has been of great price value and make. I also buy Kingston brand for which ever can be of lower price. SanDisk however has a more aggressive selection and reasonably priced. What else can I say about a memory card? It works...ok maybe adding the fact that when you want a decent quality SD card, make sure you have a good rating to support both taking pictures and video recording.

The Most Most of Us Will Ever Need
We went on a trip to Europe and bought this card so we wouldn't need to keep track of multiple SD cards. 128 gigs was more than enough to hold thousands of images (most of which were shot in RAW), and a few hours of 1080p video (shot at 60 fps using Sony's XAVC codec). We were using a Sony a5100, and this worked great. Its writing speed was super quick, and the transfer speed of moving files from the card to the computer is very fast. After buying this card I regret buying lower storage cards; this will probably be the only card I use from here on out. For recreational photographer/videographers like myself, this is more storage than will ever be needed on any trip.
