So Far I'm Very Pleased
I bought a new computer and wanted something better than what I considered to be suboptimal trial security software that came with the system. It was a popular brand, but I had previously been less than happy with it. My new computer replaced a unit only a few years old but which had slowed to a crawl due to virus/whatever infestation not caught by the other name brand software. So, with my new computer being in use only a few days, I downloaded the Norton very easily. (Trust me when I say I know virtually nothing about the loading/unloading/workings of a computer.) Anyway, downloading was a snap. In the week it has been installed, it has recommended I not visit several sites that I thought were safe. I had used Norton several years ago and was happy with it, but each computer I have acquired over the past 8 years or so came preloaded with another brand. Although in use only a week, I am happy and hope I can report the same satisfaction when I do a follow up evaluation. So far I'm a happy camper.

Review
Been using it for a few months on computers only and working well as far as I know. This purchase was to renew my license 10 months from now. You have to wait until the day your old license expires to add the new one, or you lose the remaining days on your old license. My only complaint is that there isn't any import and export feature of settings, so I had to configure many settings manually on four different computers. Attached are screen captures of my settings which will maybe assist you. My preference is anti-spam OFF, and a minimum of disruptions and warnings from the security software. If your C drive is an SSD like mine then you want Optimization also OFF.

A solid software that has proven itself year after year
Despite all the dozens and dozens of software out there with some being cheaper and some being expensive than Norton, I love this product. It has protected my family's computers for the last decade and I've had no complaints. The UI is clean and simple and the protection seems to be solid. I've actually purchased and tried McCaffee and Malwarebytes one year but came back to this within week as the others had issues during installation or the UI was horrible.

Quite Satisfied
This product is excellent and keeping the computers on my home network virus free. I pay attention to reviews and I find the particular strengths and weaknesses of Norton fit my expectations well. I usually have more than enough cpu horsepower, memory, and hard drive speed, so if this software is a bit more of a resource hog, I won't even know. My computers stay nice and fast, and with not a single virus issue since I started using Norton again, they are reliable as anything. That's what I buy this software for. One feature I really like is the "My Norton" site which keeps track of how many licenses I have deployed, and it makes it super easy to deploy it to other computers without even having to put a CD in the drive. This is a great product and I am sold on it.

Good Product but a Nuisance Updating the Subscription
Have used this for years and have never had an "unknown" intrusions or viruses. It works well and isn't too resource intensive. The only thing that I don't like is the way they make life difficult when it is time to renew. The worst part is I can't just simply enter in my new product license for another year's subscription and then they will add 365 days to however many days are left on my existing subscription. If I renew early then I will lose my remaining time on my current subscription. I also can't just renew with the new code and have it automatically propagate for all 5 devices currently registered. Instead I am forced to wait until the last day and then go through and update all five devices one at a time which is a pain. This will probably be the last year I do this as it is getting old having to jump through hoops to renew when I have purchased a valid renewable license and none of my 5 devices have changed from yesterday. Calling them when I am holding a valid year's subscription is not something I feel inclined to do.

Great Price For Great Product
I have been using Norton for approximately 7 years and am 100% satisfied with the product. It is easy to use & does not hog resources like some other security products. In the past, I had the key code electronically sent me to, but this time I elected to have the physical key code mailed to me. The reason I did this was because the listing for the electronically delivered key code stated that the customer would have to list a credit card when activating for an automatic yearly renewal. Norton never did this in the past. Well I am pleased to say that when I activated using the physical key code it allowed me to skip entering a credit card number, just like it said in the physical key card write up. This activated and renewed for one year without any issues and as always was very easy to do. I am pleased. As others have said, never activate until the last day of your current subscription.

Great Price, Works Well, Easy to Install, and Provides Needed Security
After reading some of the other reviews, thought it would be best to purchase the product and have code mailed rather than just using the download since some people mentioned having installation issues when installing this on multiple computers using the download option. Norton protection was easy to install on our computers, which we did the day before our current, yearly subscription ran out. Norton does NOT add this new purchase to any days left from your previous subscription, so waiting until the last day provided maximum coverage time. We did not need the additional features, and cost, of the Premium Package, which includes Cloud backup, coverage for up to 10 computers instead of just 5, and additional family use protection features. The Deluxe Norton Package is perfect for our needs and works well with Malwarebytes Premium or Free version installed on all our computers at home. We continue to rely on Norton Protection year after year.

Bought this at a bargain price
I read in another review comment here that the smart way to use this if you are renewing a subscription to wait until the existing subscription expires so you get all of your subscription days (this kind of renewal replaces your previous product key; renewing directly with Norton adds to whatever time is remaining on the subscription), then use the "renew, I have a key code" option. The renewal takes less than a minute after typing in that long code. I also wanted to share that although I have been using Norton since 2002, their renewal offers to me were no bargain this time. Interestingly, the same day my subscription expired, they sent me an email with a decent renewal offer. If I had not already bought this Key Card (on a day when it was offered at a give away price) I would have taken the offer. As far as the merits of the product, I've used Norton since 2002 and never had an infection. I have also noticed that over time, Norton has improved the features while reducing the load on the computer.

A MUCH BETTER $$ DEAL THAN "RENEWING" YOUR NORTON SUBSCRIPTION(S), BUT...
We buy a new Product Key for Norton Security Deluxe (5 devices) every year, to protect 2 desktops, 2 smartphones, and a high-end laptop. NOTE: Be sure to wait until just before your existing subscription expires, before using the new key, because whatever time is left on it will NOT roll over (and will be lost). I normally wait until my expire date, or one day before, BUT the review update below explains why two days ahead may be needed now... UPDATE: My existing NIS-Deluxe 5-device subscription said it expired on March 27th this year so I sat down to renew with the Product Key on March 26th. But NIS said my status was expired, even tho it was not the exp date yet...at least not in the U.S. There was a link to the Norton web site renewal page but the dashboard was locked, so I could not access the Enter Product Key link which normally appears in lower right of page that opens when you click on (?)_Help. Very frustrating, and clearly a software glitch in Norton software. After searching their site I elected to use support Chat, typing out a clear description of the problem first, to paste into chat window. After a 5-minute delay the agent came on and addressed the problem by moving my expiration date to be 2 days later. That restored normal access via the dashboard and enabled me to simply enter the Product Key to renew. Then I promptly repeated the process on all my devices, before their dashboards got locked again! COMMENT: Norton tries really hard to get you to set up auto-renew. That's not a good idea. They do give you a very low 1st-year price as an incentive but the fine print says it will roll over next year (and thereafter) at the full price, now about $89-$99 and subject to change. As long as you can buy a 1-year Product Key for 5 devices for about $30 (mine was $24.99, sold by Amazon), then grab it and run!

The Norton Security Deluxe - 5 Devices [Key Card] is easy to apply and is a good value.
The Norton Security Deluxe - 5 Devices [Key Card] was as advertised, arrived on time, undamaged, and provided the extended Norton security coverage I desired. After updating my desk top Norton application, my three mobile devices were recognized when I requested an update and their coverage extended without having to enter the 20 character key code for them as I did for the desktop. Also, contrary to advertising, the update automatically added the days that remained on my previous coverage. The price from Amazon was much lower than buying direct from Norton and averaged about $7.50 per device per year which is fairly reasonable for the coverage and quality updates Norton provides. I, therefore, recommend this product.
