Much better than expected.

I've used this canopy several times and so far I'm pretty impressed. After reading reviews about the lack of stability it has in windy conditions, i opted out of using it at the beach, but at the park and even on my deck has been perfect! It took two people to assemble (my 10 year old daughter and myself), and only took less than 10 minutes. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a budget friendly shade option.

Sturdy, durable, quick set-up and breakdown

Pros: - Sturdy - Carrying Case has wheels - Large - Includes Stakes Cons - A bit heavy, but likely a trade-off for its durability Purchased this after shamelessly borrowing my buddy's tailgate tent on-and-off for over a year. My primary use is for HPDE track days where a bit of shade is welcomed where track and paddock temps can be over 10F hotter than air temperature, but we also plan to use this for beach and "glamping." In my experience, pop-up tents such as this can be very unstable and subject to getting bent and destroyed by wind; not this one though. The tent seems very sturdy, provides quite a bit of shade, and is easily packed and unpacked. Two of us set it up in <10 minutes and that was first time set up, which included removing wrapping and protective bubble wrap. Break-down was similarly quick and easy and with two people, we were easily able to get it back in its carrying case. The tent is large enough to fit the majority of my vehicle under it with room to spare on either side. This past weekend the wind was pretty subdued so it hasn't really been put to the test in that regard, but I'm confident with stakes or weights on the legs, it'll endure some gusts.

For the clutch!

Was heading to the high desert here in California to shoot some weapons like a proud American with some friends and some fried chicken when I had completely forgot I had purchased this canopy for my son's birthday a year prior. Thank God I did because I was the only person who had a canopy in the group. So we brought it out and man this baby surprised me! I hadn't used this the first time as I mentioned because for my son's bday party because I was over seas so this was my first hands on experience with it. It was incredibly easy to set up and is huge! My family and friends were very impressed with the size of the canopy and so was I. From opening the zipper to opening it and locking the legs took 3 of us 2 minutes if that, can be done with 1 person if need be but would be very irritating I recommend at least 2 people. The canopy material is very durable and thick. So hopefully with that said it will last awhile but only time will tell. The sun peak at about 99 degrees with 13% percent humidity and it kept 7 of us with tables cool calm and collected. Also the carry bag with it is very well made and has wheels to roll it which is convenient. Definitely and must have for any outside activities you or the family come up with. Amazon basics comes in for the win on this product and will proudly rep that name everywhere I take it!

This tent is amazing. My husband and I had a huge BBQ bash with a ton of our friends and it was sturdy and shielded us from the hot sun. Towards the end of the night, it started to rain and still, we continued to hang outside under the canopy tent. No one got wet at all. It was great. After everyone left at 11pm, we cleaned everything up and went inside, but kept the tent up because it started to pour. It remained standing and sturdy. Around midnight, it started to really rain super hard, and a tree fell on it and brought it down!! Amazon was awesome and they have a 1-year replacement policy and are sending us a new one. I can't recommend this canopy enough!! It is freaking awesome and obviously, Amazon's customer service is top notch.

great canopy. Nice and heavy duty.

My husband was so excited when this showed up. He broke our old one after working all day on our car, and not paying attention while putting it down. Our old one, a different brand, was really heavy and he was a bit nervous this would be one of those that broke the first time, instead of after 8 years of weekly use like our last one. He is much more confident now that this will hold up over time. The good - pretty standard, and yet large size. We use this in the spring, summer and fall for BBQ, outdoor days, and my husband uses this next to our south facing garage when he is working on cars, and he needs something that is heavy enough to keep the sun out and keep him cool. The fabric seems to be quite heavy. He popped this up the second it came, which was LIGHTNING fast - it came overnight, and I was thrilled. Definitely get the big bags that go around the legs to hold it down, and you won't have any issues. In CO we get some big wind gusts, and we find those to be critical for not having your canopy end up as your neighbors', but all in all this is absolutely awesome, and we love it!!!!

Solid Canopy - We "Accidentally" Bought 4 and We're Keeping Them!

We sort of accidentally bought 4 of these by placing an order for 2 twice shortly before my wife ran a Girl Scout day camp. We ended up keeping them all since they work well and recently set them up all together to form a 20x20 ft covered area for an outdoor meeting. They are well made and compact when collapsed for the size covered. The only negative (almost resulting in loss of a star) is that it is pretty tough to get the accordion extender to "click in" to make the tent material taut when first setting up. Two people setting up is a must for this - I have done setup myself and it certainly can be done but requires several circles of the unit shifting things a bit until one "clicks" and then the others follow pretty easily. Gosh, I hope this makes sense - if you have ever set up a canopy you likely understand what I'm saying but if not it may be confusing. Anyway, overall we are very happy with these units which are solidly made.

Great buy

Ok so before buying this one I did a lot of reading of reviews and weighing pros and cons.here is why I got this - very easy set up , took out of the bag, that had wheels less than 10 min just because we kept looking for complications and couldn’t believe it all you have to do is put blue tarp on, stick to Velcro and life the legs up! We live in NC and we get 95 plus humidity all summer long ... our son plays flag football this will help his team have small breaks under tent. Easy set up even easier take down, we will be using it for outdoor events like soccer football and backyard family fun. Great buy for the price and thanks everyone that takes time to write honest reviews. It is 10X10 and it’s Huge bigger than I expected! If anything changes I’ll update but so far very impressed!

Perfect Canopy Tent for Music Festivals

Last year I scrambled to find and buy a canopy the day before an outdoor multi-day music festival as I won tickets last minute, and ended up purchasing the cheapest one from walmart. I just bought tickets to return again this year, and bought this canopy to be prepared as last year it rained and our tent didn’t fit under 1 canopy along with a hangout area with all our supplies. The pros of this canopy are that it is sturdy, and seems like it will last for multiple years to come. I also like that it blocks out sunlight well, so you feel cooler underneath it. This is especially important for music festivals in the summer time without AC. It is also definitely water-proof, and more importantly dries fast which is important when having to pack it up regardless after the festival. It is easy and fast to assemble and pack up with the canopy still on the frame. I also love that the carrying case has wheels. It weighs about 20 lbs, but it feels heavier and this way it’s easy to transport from my car across a field. My only con is that I would have also liked a choice in colors, but this definitely stands out among a crowd of canopies in the camping grounds at a music festival.

Nothing to complain about for this price

Really impressed - for less than the ones I saw on the rack at Costco, this AmazonBasics tent is MUCH better quality. I'm a DJ, so I was in need to a quick-up canopy for those outdoor events. Shade on equipment (and me) and a protective covering from any moisture was a need. Since purchase, this tent has been used in one block party, two DJ events, and one back yard baby shower. It's been set up and packed up several times without fail and has stood up to jostles and rain. Set up is easy for two people. You could probably do it with one, but it would be a bit of a hassle. When setting up, I notice if you're not careful the legs tend to get some stress on them, so I've been careful to not let them bend too much. No bends/breaks so far! I really like the inside of the tent - it has a higher peak so my tall friends aren't ducking under cross-beams. While the blue color is nice, I would have MUCH preferred some other color options. I wish Amazon would offer this same tent in custom colors, maybe even custom printing or backdrops, but I understand that most of these AmazonBasics products are designed to be 'generic' high quantity and low cost alternatives. The tent comes with a roller case, which is excellent. The case has two handles to carry or you can roll it around. The top of the case is already showing some wear, but that may be due to having it packed with other equipment more than the actual packing of the canopy itself. I put the canopy on the fame during initial setup, and now I leave it on - still fits great in the case. It also comes with four little stakes for the legs, but I wouldn't trust them in a high wind situation. I also ordered some bag weights for the legs I plan to fill with sand to have as a backup: Industrial Grade AbcCanopy Weights Bag, Leg Weights for Pop up Canopy 4pcs-pack.
