I bought this cooling pad for my husband and he thought it was perfect for his laptop. He owned it for less than 6 months but the fans stopped working. Since I bought this cooling pad because of its 5 fans, I contacted the seller and Kootek responded almost immediately. Their customer service is exceptional! I'm sure this problem with the fans was the exception rather than the norm for this product. They shipped a new Cooling Pad the same day and I received it in 2 days - now that's customer service!!!! My husband is happy and I'm happy, so I would definitely recommend Kootek!

Very pleased. Was everything we were looking for.

Bought this for my Mom. She loves it. It's quiet while cooling, and allows for a variety of laptop viewing angles. She often uses her laptop on the sofa. She was very pleased that this unit is lightweight while feeling sturdy in her lap with the kickstand up. We like the usb ports being on the back of the cooler with a usb cord long enough to reach the side of her computer. We also like the stoppers that keep the laptop in place and prevent it from sliding off of the cooler. I was concerned that we would not like the blue led lights, but they do not create a viewing disturbance. Another concern was size. Mom has a 17" HP Pavilion computer. We needed a large cooing pad but we did not want some crazy shape. We a rectangular cooling pad that as closely as possible fit the dimensions of Mom's computer. This pad just accommodates it. We would not have wanted smaller.

Fantastic, especially for larger laptops!

I have a pretty big laptop-- 17.5" which is bigger than the average 12-15" size. Finding any type of accessory for this laptop is a bit of a task, and I was skeptical about ordering this cooling pad because I haven't had too many good experiences with cooling pads and laptops in the past. However, I definitely needed one for my new laptop and someone else said this fit their large laptop comfortably, and another one said that their daughter uses it just fine in the comfort of her bed (which is what I also do, so I needed something that wouldn't be awful on my legs or on the rumbled blankets) and honestly, I'm very impressed! The lights aren't bright at all, or distracting. There are TWO sets of fans you can use- the big middle one, or the four mini ones. You can use one, or the other, or both at the same time, or neither if you so choose. There's no way to deactivate the lights apart from the fans but thankfully none of that bothers me. It's not horribly loud either, and the angle is adjustable and it has two little catchers on the front that aren't invasive or annoying at all! This is honestly one of the best products I've received from Amazon. I highly recommend this for larger laptops.

This thing is working great. It's quiet

This thing is working great. It's quiet. It kicks a pretty good breeze. I only use one at a time...there's some buttons on the back, you can select all or only some of the fans. I alternate back & forth between the two so that I extend the life but half is more than enough to keep my beast of a laptop cool. I'm using a 17" that heats up like hellhound when I'm running games & video, even with the three onboard fans. So this cooling pad does exactly what I need it to do and only using half its resources at a time!

Love this fan! READ FOR NOISY/SLOW FAN FIX!!!

I’ve owned two of these, one from 2015-2017, then it was stolen, and my current one from 2017 to present. I’ve loved it and would definitely recommend it. There’s enough reviews about its features, so I figured I’d comment about fixing an issue I ran into years into owning mine. Over time you may find that the noise level increases, potentially to a very loud, jarring noise. Don’t panic, more than likely it’s not broken, and can easily be fixed. I had to remove all of the screws, take apart the frame, disconnect the fans, remove the black round sticker on one side of each fan (exposing the bearing, as seen my second included picture), followed by squirting a VERY VERY small amount of WD-40 inside, then I connected the fans again, allowing them to mix up the WD-40, and then I cleaned off the area with rubbing alcohol before putting some electrical tape over the holes. For good measure I also cleaned the fans with compressed air and Q-tips with 91% rubbing alcohol before reassembling. This brought the noise level back to silent and increased the fan speed back their original RPM. Easy fix that could significantly extend the life of this product!

Nifty cooler. It adjusts as the picture shows and has little stoppers to prevent the laptop from slipping off. The fans are quiet and there are two switches in the back that control the fans, so you don't have to have all five going. Great value for the price. The last cooler I had finally died after having it for 5 years and I'm hoping I get the same life out of this one.

Actually really good, very pleased

I get nervous buying cheap plastic products online. So I am doing this review do help others. This product works great. I like the option of being able to turn on just the 4 outside fans or just the middle or to have all on at same time. it's relatively quiet, although I do notice it hum in the background as you would expect with any fan motor, my customers on the phone can't hear it through the phone so I'm ok. I like this size so it's compatible with all size computers. This product works as advertised, with no problems, and is actually more durable than I expected. Works great. I recommend this brand of product.

Only worked for one week but they made it good

this item ran for one week and then the fans quit working. I have tried to make this work a couple of times with no luck. I am very disappointed and will return this to Amazon for a refund. UPDATE: the mfg's customer service team has contacted me for follow up regarding the problem with the cooling pad. they were very concerned and expressed a commitment to customer satisfaction. They are working to address my concerns. Further update: the mfg was very concerned about the problem. They sent me a replacement at no charge. The replacement was a new model. The power cord was no longer wired directly to the fans. Instead it connects to one of the two usb ports. I feel this will correct the issue with the cord pulling loose. The fans cool well. I am very pleased with the focus the mfg has for customer satisfaction. I am changing my rating to 5 stars.

Kootek Laptop Cooling Pad 12"-17" Cooler Pad...

This is the best cooling pad I've owned to date.I hab one I really liked but it was plastic and broke.Even though part of this kootek pad is plastic it's built much better. The fan's put out a lot of air.Iove the ability to adjust to different level's this one has 6 different slot's for adjustment.The construction is very good.I'm very happy with this cooling pad and would highly recommend. I have 2 lap top's, a 14 inch asus that has a 1 inch space on each end that does not come to the end of the pad and a 17 inch dell that hangs over 3/4 of an inch on each end which is no problem at all.both lap top's have plenty of support.The flip up wings that keep the lap top from sliding off are well built and plenty strong to hold my 17 inch dell. you normally don't get good quality and good price but this look's to be both i'm very happy with this product.
