I've wanted a color laser printer for ages but it seemed such an extravagance. Our old HP was still working even though we had to convert the cord to USB. I finally got tired of having to troubleshoot the networking on it and decided to go modern. There were some printers with slightly better reviews, but my thinking was that I've had a laser printer for twenty some years. Two laser printers total in twenty years--both HP! I decided to stick with what had been a winner for me. This was much easier to set up than any other printer I've owned. Even our ipads and phones found it immediately. I have several printing apps on both just to be able to get something to print. Not needed with this printer. My first print job was a pdf file that would have been hard to read in black and white. I printed it double sided and had it bound. Now I have a handy small reference booklet for HTML and css.

Printer has been in constant operation for just under 4 years. It is on a LAN with 10 workstations that all use it as there only printing device. 3 are Windows 10, 2 are Mac Book Air. All print nice draft as well as final copies. Prints 8 1/2 x 11” and 8 1/2 x 14” pages. Also has WiFi capability which is handy for printing from iPhones. We generally use HP refill cartridges rather than buy new HP. Color is excellent. Black is very black. Would buy again although I don’t think HP makes this exact model anymore. When paired with quality refilled HP cartridges this printer is a real work horse. In 3 years of operation in a small office this printer has never failed.

I'm in love with this printer and so happy I bought it ! Mind you, I've never operated a laser printer and have been using mid-range deskjets my entire life. This printer is for home office use, printing about 30 invoices per day. I needed something more economical and efficient for the job. It's only been a few days but this bad boy is getting A+ . Pros *Touch screen- I was torn between the cheaper, non- touch screen model and this. So happy I spent for the upgrade . Note- sellers are not allowed to list HP items as "new" even if they've never been used. Look for one that says "like new" and chances are you'll get a brand new printer for a fraction of the cost . In my case $200! Easiest Setup Ever- This is seriously the easiest printer I have ever hooked up. It's pretty much plug and play. Wireless went flawlessly - which has always been an issue with previous printers Fast- If you're used to deskjets, omg, this thing is a monster Technology - This printer has it's own email address !! No more forwarding documents to email after email trying to print. Want a photo printed ? It's hooked up to your online storage providers (dropbox, etc). You can also send a text to HP Facebook messenger, tell it what you want printed and whola.' Cons * heavy and large footprint I now need a specialized cart to hold this along with label printers . This bad boy doesn't fit inside my current printer storage unit. However, it's a laser, they're big! It was expected. This printer is awesome and highly recommended

We had it for about a week. Needed a color printer for a small office for occasional color printing, it is not a primary printer. The printer came with the toner installed. It was easy to unpack and connect to ethernet. I printed a settings page from the printer to get the IP address then went in via the web interface to change the IP address to a number in our static range. Windows 7 and 10 were installed by entering in the IP address in printer setup. Both operating systems automatically installed the drivers. One of the easiest setups I have had, I never needed the enclosed CD. We are not fussy about print quality and mainly print black which is adequate for business documents. First page out is usually within 10 - 15 seconds if it is cold, faster if it is warm. We plan on using non HP toner to save costs and will see how that goes. Came USPS which was almost a nighmare. They left the printer by the mail boxes in our building where anyone in the building could have taken it. This should be unacceptable to Amazon. At least bring it to our office. Display has a button to show remaining toner life. Paper capacity on output tray seems to be small. This does not impact us but if I was printing large documents it may be a concern. We are not using wireless.

I bought this printer for our office and it was very easy to set up. The directions are clear and easy to follow. Set up only took minutes. We did not use the wifi connection but used USB directly to a computer. Could not be easier. The color print is far superior to ink jet with no fear of the print running if gotten wet. We can produce flyers, business cards, and brochures in a flash. Printing is mere seconds and no dry time. The HP Laserjet Pro M452dw Wireless Color Printer, (CF394A) is very quiet while running and there is no warm up time. Be advised that you will pay almost as much for a set of the color cartridges as you would another printer. Granted they say you get 2300 sheets of print but wowzers that is a lot of money! We have found that the off brand compatible set is just fine and does a superior job at 1/3 the price. I am not techy enough to give you all of the perks or drawbacks of the machine in much detail except it does a beautiful job, was easy to set up and operate along with encouragement to buy cheaper cartridges of toner.

My HP3505 color laser printer gave up the ghost after about seven years of faithful service, so I had to get a quick replacement. This HP M452dw seemed to fit what I needed, but no reviews for me to see how it all worked out. So let me be the first here on Amazon. The printer showed up in two days in excellent condition. After opening, the only real directions was the orange cover sheet instructing how to pull printer out of the box. I watched a couple unboxing videos on Youtube where they had to pull out the printing cartridges, setting static IP addresses, and a few other steps. That was all quite unnecessary here. Just put size the paper tray and insert paper, then plug the printer in (and plug in the network cable if you are using that), and let 'er rip. I'm using Apple computers, so I selected the "Airprint" function, which avoids the need for specific HP software or drivers. Make sure you select "share" in your computer options for this printer if you want to print from other computers on your network (I did not do this initially and the "Airprint" function was not availing itself on other computers on my network when adding this new printer, but once I selected "share," the "Airprint" option became available to all others on my network). From unboxing to first printed page was less than five minutes. Very easy. Initial setup was on small screen on printer, and that too was very easy. And I also noticed that the printing is even crisper than my HP3505, which surprised me, because I thought that think printed pretty good. We'll see how it stands the test of time, but for now, I'm quite pleased.

Love this printer. I have it on my wireless network and it works like a charm. The color is accurate, and produces good, clean images. I think the print quality is superb. Enjoy the LCD screen for setup and diagnostics, Nice feature. Best of all this printer weighs only about 40 lb. Which is an improvement over the older Okidata which weighs nearly 60 lb. Having a built in duplexer is invaluable as I prefer printing two sided to save paper and bulk. Easy to set up, easy to use, and the wireless capability makes this printer a winner. Highly recommended. Not to mention I had this for about $280 with free shipping

I bought an "open box" or "used" HP M452dw laser printer for $165. MSRP is $499 & sale price was $318. Although the condition was listed as "very good" I really didn't know what to expect. I would rate the condition as "like new". The toner was about 90% full and installation on my iMac, MPB Pro, 2 generations of iPad and iPhone 7's was easily accomplished. The one flaw was that while a 10.5 driver is available it does not seem to support legacy systems (MDD G4 w/ 10.5.8). I had to use a generic post script driver which works fine but is not preferred driver. One of the user comments about this printer states that the printer doesn't handle documents with mixed graphics (pictures) and a text. I printed a Word document with a combination of both text and pictures. They printed flawlessly with both the 10.11 and generic drivers. I consider this a non-issue. I only have one criticism about this printer. The lower paper tray "feels" flimsy. At this price point I would buy this printer again in a heartbeat. UPDATE: The printer is still working well. One negative point is that during duplex printing (Word & Safari) it sometimes prints 1/2 the line on the first page. i.e. it splits the text horizontally. This could be a show stopper if you plan to print a lot of double sided documents. Update 10 Feb 19: I've printed a lot of documents and the "1/2 line" problem seems to have gone away. I love this printer.

This printer works great. The wireless setup was a breeze as the reviews said. It is fast and prints good looking images. I will not rate the photo quality of it in that we are not using it for that purpose. we print handouts for classes that we teach and it has save many dollars in ink jet costs and time with its speed. the starter cartridges are as everyone has stated, they barely have enough toner to run a couple hundred sheets. Do go for the extra capacity cartridges, ie, the "X" version as they will last a lot longer due to the larger capacity. I am running compatible cartridges and they work great. Compared to an ink jet this is a Ferrari.

I returned a previous BW laser to order this printer because of its wireless features. I had a brief problem printing labels, not because of the printer but because the Avery software program did not permit me to adjust the printer settings back to default. Therefore I had to telephone HP and they instructed me over the phone how to reset the default settings. Avery denied the problem was caused by their software. The machine is heavy, 40 pounds of weight, so I would advise anyone not to attempt moving it from place to place without some assistance. It is about the size of a large microwave oven. You will hear it when printing but the noise level is medium. I like the envelope feed tray, I open the front door and load envelopes, very simple and they print correctly. I've used it to print postage stamps, labels, color prints, envelopes, letters and long documents. So far, everything prints great, except for the package mailing labels. The printer roller, after printing these labels transferred the ink to the next print job and I had black stripes across the pages of my document. Only does this with the Avery labels, so I do not know if it's a product problem or a printer problem. Since I rarely print labels, it is not a major headache. I use it strictly as a wireless printer and it takes about ten seconds for the job to go from PC to printer. Once it starts to print, it prints fast. Highly pleased with this printer, I did not want to purchase it due to the price, but I believe the quality is worth the price.
