I am kicking myself for not buying this printer a lot sooner. I cannot begin to tell you how much money I have wasted on ink jet printers over the years. It is not often I print in color so every single time I finally needed to print in color on any of the several ink jet printers I have thrown out. The ink was always dry and I had to complete several time consuming and painfully stressful steps just to print one color page. This machine payed for itself saving me so much money on wasted ink jet cartridges. I only print in color about once a month or so and every time I use this printer, it just prints in color immediately, no issues, no cleaning and realigning print heads no streaks or blotches. It just works... Finally, a product I can actually look forward to using. The touch screen controls are amazing too, simply click and swipe. The scanner is quick and high quality, the auto document feeder never jams. Loading and printing a single envelope is a breeze through the front paper feeder. The toner cartridges may be expensive to replace, but it has been over a year since I purchased this printer and I have barley used the toner that came with it. I prefer this color laser printer over ANY ink jet printer on the market and I have been through them all, literally.

Finally fed up with Office Jet all-in-one machine's, I bit the bullet and bought this Laser all-in-one. I wish I had done it sooner, however; I think my timing allowed for me to get everything I want in the machine. This machine produces absolutely beautiful prints. It is incredibly simple to configure. The worst thing about it is its heft, imo. I cannot carry it without assistance (this is really not a problem, but the only negative, I can call out about the machine). Toner is expensive for the machine but I will not be wasting nearly as much on it as I did with my evaporating inkjet cartridges. All in all, I am pleased with the investment and highly recommend it to others looking for a laser all in one.

Color me impressed. Unboxed it. Followed simple instructions to plug it in, turn it on, select language. It found my wireless network instantly and I entered its password. Both Windows and Mac machines discovered it automatically and both printed documents the first try using the inbuilt OS provided drivers. From unboxing to printed documents in about ten minutes. The most difficult part was figuring out how to lift it out of the box as it weighs 50 lbs and I wasn't sure where to grab it. (I ended up laying the box on its side and sliding the styrofoamed package out.) It prints fast and crisp and with very nice colors compared to the 12 year old HP Inkjet its replacing. Happy so far. Fingers crossed it has good longevity.

I've had my new Color LaserJet printer for just about three months. I have owned many HP printers over the years, but this is my first color *laser* printer. In the past I've owned black & white laser printers -- for speedy printing -- and multi-function inkjet printers -- for color printing and for scanning. I don't need the FAX function anymore (everyone accepts scan-to-PDF documents via email or dropbox), so I haven't tried that function. The set-up for this printer was flawless: I have multiple wi-fi access points, and I run my own WIndows Domain Controller (SBS 2011). A great deal for US$361.343 (printer+tax, free Prime shipping).

OMG! I am so in love with my new printer, the HP LaserJet Pro M477fnw wireless All-in-One printer. I have been using my old color laser printer for over 10 years: the HP 2550N. It was the very first low priced color laser printer for home office use. Well, it finally died last week. I did some research and found that none of the new color laser printers for home use seem like they are compatible with CARDSTOCK printing. The specs of all the new printers only list "post card" with the highest weight rating being 58lb. I thought, really? How can this be? I have been printing on 65lb card stock all this time. I found that lots of people have been making the same inquiries, with no luck. There just did not seem to be any new color laser printers for home use with this capability. So I took my old printer to the repair shop. They had it for over a week and said that they could not fix it. So . . . I bit the bullet and bought the best printer I had researched for me: the HP LaserJet Pro M477fnw. Well, here is some really good news, folks! I got home, went to print something and when I looked at the "paper type" choices menu, I discovered that it had a CARDSTOCK listing and its weights are rated at 176-220 gms. That is 85lb card stock! Whoopie! That is heavier than what my old 2550 would do, by far! I tried out some CARDSTOCK and it printed it with no problems, and not curled either. It spit it out nice and flat. Also, this new printer is lightning fast, even with my complex color brochures. It does not wait for 5 minutes to print a full color, complex page like my old printer. It prints my most difficult color brochures in under 30 seconds. And text pages print in like, 3 seconds. No lie! It is amazing. Needless to say, I am very happy with it. I recommend this printer to anyone who is on the fence about a color laser printer. It is great. Thank you, HP!

I am pleasantly pleased with this item. I have been looking for a printer for some time, even purchased an Epson inkjet for a little over a hundred dollars that I was not happy with because the ink dried up on it so quickly. My problem was that I had a monochrome laser printer that was working perfectly fine that was not wireless. And I really felt that the color laser printers were just out the ballpark for me, along with the cartridges. Then I found this little beauty. Well, not so little. Upon opening the box, it was slightly larger than I had plan but the features were great. It connected to all of my Google files easily and I'm able to scan more files to my Google files. Huge plus. I'm a teletherapist and I was looking for something like this. I set up my network, also fairly easy if you are familiar with computers. Have to hand it to HP, they give you a full size keyboard to input your password to your network, on the Epson that I had just purchased and hated, when entering my password, I had to do it in segments. So if your password was say "cookie" you had to go through the numeric key board until you reached the lower letters of each alpha numeric representation. What a pain, especially for long passwords. Setup on the computer was little bit more confusing. It got to the end of the disk set up and tried to do a page print test and flaked. Said that it couldn't do a test print. So, I went into the device driver, did a page test print and it worked fine. Clicked on finish on the setup and everything seems to be working ok. My printer is in the same room as my computer, so I don't have to worry about waking it up, etc. as others have commented. I haven't faxed from it yet, but I'm sure I will see how that goes and report back. One last thing, if you are considering doing an open box from Amazon, I highly recommend it. Although this printer did not come in the original HP box, I saved close to $50 and I can't tell that it didn't come out of the original box. Amazon did a super job repackaging it. Overall, I'm very satisfied. 4/1/16 Update ~ Does not play well with Internet Explorer printing, does fine with Google. I tried to get it to print from Internet Explorer but it just gets lost somewhere over the internet. Also, if you are looking for true double sided printing, this doesn't have it. It has a duplex printing option, which allows you to print from a separate tray then flip the pages onto the backside for double sided printing. Not a big deal, but could see how this might be for some. 9/1/16 Update ~ It appears that some of the bugs have been worked out in regards to Internet Explorer and Apple. I've now had it 6 months and still do not regret my purchase. My daughter commented that she likes the color pictures printed better than the new Epson inkjet with the mega cartridge which my parents own. I will say that the fax software on it isn't that great. I've actually switched to an online fax because it doesn't seem to be compatible with my Ooma phone. :( Scanning is great, probably one of the best scanning MFP I've ever had.

I was referred to this model by a family member to replace my old HP unit. Very easy to setup and get operating. Great quality and fast. Loving it. The toner cartridges are expensive so I don't use it for every print job. Fortunately, I found toner at half the store price online.

If you take care that all your Windows drivers are updated before you install, this printer is amazing. Quick to print, easy scanning, and the sheet feeder is so useful. Would highly recommend.

This is so much better than my old inkjet - even though I had a pretty nice one from HP. I've had it a couple of months now and nary a glitch. It paired up with my Lenovo laptop quickly and easily. I expect that I am going to save a fortune on inkjet cartridges! The only downside is that it doesn't do a fantastic job printing photos, but I didn't expect it to and really never print them. Delivery was nice and fast, as usual from Amazon.

Easy set up - less than 15 minutes from box, to driver install (Mac - no disk needed) to printing. Some really nice features - fullscreen keypad for wi-fi password entry. (It is the little things in life.) Tried multi-sided document feeder scanning to thumb drive - worked really well. (You do have to manually select the document feeder, though.) Bought this after trying to find one at the local Office big box. They were $9 more expensive, and out of stock. Will update review as time goes on.
