Simply the best--powerful, dependable and accurate
Very easy to set up, very easy to break down and clean for the next time. The screens are terrific--large characters and decent backlighting--and the controls are logically placed. Some of the quirks are easily deciphered in the well-written instructions. But... ...the BEST thing about the TP-08 is its range, at least half again as far as my previous wireless remote thermometer (which cost more than twice what I paid for the TP-08). I was doing a 13-hour pork shoulder smoking and never lost the signal (about 200+ feet through drywall, plaster and things that kill off a pretty tough wireless router). The temperature alerts were both accurate and loud. I honestly cannot think of anything I don't like about this amazing system (and I can get really crabby after smoking anything for 13 hours). Do yourself a favor: get the storage bag, too (sold separately). Your instruments will be very safely padded and protected, with plenty of room for the sensor cables.

IT WORKS JUST LIKE DESCRIBED ... AND IT TURNED A SKEPTIC REPORT INTO A BELIEVER!
Hi, I’m Chuck Foster, News Director and product reviewer for WCNi News Service. Disclosure, I didn’t buy ThermoPro TP-08S for a product review. I bought it because the concept sounded terrific. But I was admittedly skeptical, particularly since its first use product was a 6-pound prime rib roast for Christmas eve dinner. Order was delivered on time. Packaging was good quality as were the transmitter, receiver and two stainless steel thermometers. Took about 10 minutes to figure out how they worked … after the 20 minutes I spent before reading the instructions. First thing I discovered was my BBQ's built-in thermometer explains why some of my meat cooking’s did not go as planned. How do I know the ThermoPro units were accurate? I stuck the probes into my mouth and they quickly indicated 98 degrees! Enjoyed watching the cooking process on the wireless receiver … from the living room that was 60’ feet from the BBQ -- and when meat temperature indicated 125 degrees, I took this golden brown, picturesque piece of cooking perfection off the grill, brought it to the kitchen counter, covered it with a piece of foil and watched the receiver track the post-cooking temperature rise another 7 degrees? It stopped at 132 degrees. A “rare-slightly medium rare” prime rib dinner was the desired target: BULLSEYE! Apologetically, I can only give it two-thumbs-up because that's all I have. And Amazon only allows me to give this 5-stars. I’d have given more. In a sentence:: This produced delivered exactly what was promised, and I (and those who ate the prime rib) could not have been more pleased with the result! P.S. – I have already added the ThermoPro TP-08S to my soon-to-be-famous “Chuck’s Kick-A _ _ BBQ Prime Rib” recipe! 😊

iTronics 100% backs their products!
I really like the ThermoPro TP-08. It does everything I need it to do. I ordered my unit and used it once. While the food probe registered correctly, I noticed there was a temp discrepancy with the "barbecue" probe. Emailed iTronics, the manufacturer, and described my issues. I performed a test they asked me to do and it passed. However, it didn't address the issues I was having with my unit (huge temp fluctuations). I received an email from iTronics stating that a replacement had been sent. I have to admit...I'm floored. No hassles, no nothing. I provided my Amazon order number and shipping address and they shipped me a new unit. They took my word...I'm simply amazed, ecstatic actually!! Where, in this day and age, do you find that kind of customer support? Seriously. It's a breath of fresh air to deal with a company that backs their products. I highly recommend iTronics.

Excellent Wireless Thermometer
I finally bought one of these a few months back and now wonder why I waited so long. It has more features than I actually use so I cannot speak to how all those functions work since I haven't bothered to learn them. Primarily, I use it to tell me the temperature of the grill and the internal temperature of the meat I am grilling. It does this in fine fashion even transmitting its data from one side of the house all the way to the back bedroom on the other side. The signal was received through multiple rooms and walls of various construction materials. On my smoker, I have used this with pork butt/shoulder, beef brisket, pork ribs and chicken and it is an excellent extra tool for telling when the fire needs tending or the meat has reached the proper internal temperature. Because it is wireless, you do not have to get up and check the grill to see if it needs attention. If I wear this thing out, I will be buying another.

Quite happy, they made it right
Used it one time...no problem. 2nd time I used it the BBQ probe insists my 200°F smoker is at 572°F. Disappointed. Probe should last longer than that. UPDATE: ThermoPro saw this review and THEY contacted ME. They sent me a new set of probes for free thinking that would fix the problem...it did't. So I called them back and told them and they sent me a whole new unit free of charge. This one works like a champ. Great to see a company stand by their product and make it right. That says a lot.

Quality and Expectations Exceddded!
Right out of the box this little thermometer is a breeze. Dual probe setup is ideal for smoking/bbq of all ages/skill level Backlight on display is a little useless unless its pitch-black but not much of a negative since no one bbqs in the dark regardless haha Thermometers and probe as of time of writing have lasted me almost 2 years and still going, by far the BEST probes ive ever used After almost 2 years of using this product it looks like a had a battery malfunction and pop in the unit After cleaning out the acid, the unit wouldn't turn on. After contacting customer support within 5min I had an email stating there would be another unit on the way for replacement TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

A co-worker recommended using a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature ...
I purchased the ThermoPro TP08 Wireless Remote Digital Kitchen Cooking Thermometer - Dual Probe for BBQ Smoker Grill Oven so I could monitor the cooking of a beef brisket that I was cooking on 3/09/16. I was cooking the brisket so that we could celebrate my father in-laws birthday. I have never been able to cook a brisket without it being tough and dried out. A co-worker recommended using a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature of the meat. He recommended a different brand that only monitored the meat temperature and had to be monitored at the bbq pit. I searched Amazon for digital thermometers and came across your product. I liked the fact that I could monitor both the internal temperature of the meat and the internal temperature of the bbq pit. Being able to monitor the internal temperature of the bbq pit was a big selling point for me especially since my bbq pit doesn’t have any thermometers attached to it. I ordered your first part of last week and received it on Friday, 3/08/16. I unpackaged the thermometer and became familiar with its operation. On Saturday morning, I lit the bbq pit at 4:30 am and started smoking my brisket at 5:30 am. I inserted the meat probe in the brisket and place the other probe in the bbq pit. I set a temperature alarm to alert me when the meat reached an internal temperature of 165 F. Let me tell, you I was very impressed on how easy it was to use the Thermopro TP08. I monitored the entire cooking process from inside the house approximately 50 feet away from the pit. I was able to prepare the other dishes that would be served with the brisket. When smoking a brisket the key is low constant temperature of 200 - 250 F for 7 to 8 hrs. Thanks to the wireless monitoring capabilities, I was able to tell when the bbq pit temperature got too hot, 300 F, when the wood flared up. That was a big plus because I was able to respond to the wood flare up and get the temperature back under control. Eight hours later, I successfully made the best brisket I have ever cooked. I got compliments from everyone on how tender the brisket turned out. Needless to say, the ThermoPro TP08 met and exceeded all of my expectations. I have enclosed pictures taken at 9:00 am of the TP08 as I used to monitor the cooking process. I give this product 10 out of 10 for ease of use, portability, convenience. All I can say, is thank you, thank you, thank you. Sincerely Joe

Exceptional Customer Support and Warranty
I've gone through many probe thermometers for my grill (different brands). Some of them fail after 2-3 uses (not high heat usage). After looking at the reviews of this on youtube, I decided to give this one a shot. It's been working great for six months. However, I left the transmitter in the rain the other day, and the screen no longer works. The probes still work and send the temps to the receiver but the screen on the transmitter is out. I called customer service, explained the issue. Without hesitation, they said they'll send a whole new unit. They stood behind their product. Also, the range on this is exceptional, even when the receiver is inside the house. I highly recommend this product.

A Great Addition to Our Smoker
Smoking can be time consuming and temperature ranges maintained to get a properly done product. About 4 months ago I purchased the ThermoPro TP-08s so that I could remotely monitor temperatures with doing other things. We have now used this monitor 8 - 10 times with VERY good success. We are still on the original batteries (used about 40 - 50 hours); I take the batteries out when not in use. The range, between outside and in the house, seems to be about 30 - 40 yards. If I would have know 12 months ago what I know now I would have purchased this product a lot earlier.

Very happy
Ive Been using this unit a couple times a week for a few months now and I am super happy with it. The range on the unit is incredible. I can take the hand held any where in my house and most of my property and get perfect signal. The alarms are very handy for those night time smoking sessions. I love that I can set low/high temp alarms for my smoker for when I'm sleeping or just busy. And the meat alarms are great for waking me up if due to poor planning a brisket reaches temp at 3 o'clock in the morning. I have only had one issue. Last week the smoker probe was reading low and not matching a couple of my other thermometers I emailed customer service on Friday they sent me a brand new complete unit in less than a week. I love it when customer service is actually customer service. By the way the unit comes with a card that says the probes have full, no fault lifetime warranty. When I initially read this I chuckled because imo there's alway a catch. I am very happy to let you know that there is no catch. One email on my part was all it took.
