Outstanding Customer Service and a Nice Bright Portable Stand Light

I ordered this LED light in August and it provides a nice quantity of light and has a sturdy clip with a strong flexible arm that allows you to position the light where you want it. I have used it to supplement the light in dark concert venues as well as when practicing in hotels while traveling when the room light was inadequate. I used it for about a month and it started to get dim between charges. This is where i became impressed! I had used the light too long to return it and for the price just figured I would have to pitch it and try another brand. However, when I looked in the box, I noticed a warranty card that promised a 12 month warranty! I thought I would give it a try and contacted their support via the website on the warranty card. They contacted me a day later and apologized for my problem and simply asked for my Amazon order number and they would send me a replacement. I didn't even have to return the old one! I sent them the order number and within a week I had a replacement that worked great. I have to say I was quite impressed and would recommend to anyone that they give the Kootek products a try. I certainly will try them first for any future items I need along this line.

Wonderful Light for Performing!

I've had this light for almost six months now, and I absolutely love it! It gives off a great and even amount of light (on the cooler side of the spectrum, but not horribly so), wide enough to use for music books without being a distraction to audiences in performances. (It also has a hood along the lower edge of the light to help shield the light from audiences, and that also works well.) It has a decently strong clip as well, so I've never had any issues with the grip slipping on my stand. The battery life is wonderful even when I have the light on the high setting (which I often do, because my eyesight is terrible). I have now used this light to play three multi-weekend musical productions, and it easily gets me through entire tech-week rehearsals and shows (about 3-5 hours each) without me having to plug it in. This is a good thing, because the cord for this charger is NOT long enough to have it plugged in while using it on your stand. So I just make sure I take it home and charge it between rehearsals/shows, and I'm good to go. Bright side: in a pit orchestra, it's one less cable to potentially trip over! The charger has a strange little happy-face light on the side of it as a status indicator of charge--red when it's still charging, and green once it's fully charged. Depending on who you ask, it's either adorable or creepy, but either way it's definitely useful. And it's also saved my butt when I plugged it into a power strip at a venue and the complete lack of light on that charger told me the power to the strip was in fact cut off. My only complaint about the charger is that the fit of the cable into the base of the light is kind of loose after using it a few times, but as long as I make sure there's no strain on the cord between the charger and the light when I go to charge it, I don't have any problems. Overall, this is a fantastic product, and well worth the price I paid for it (which was about $20 less than what I would've had to pay for the Mighty Bright that I had almost bought instead). I am a happy customer!

SUPER LIGHT

This stand light is just great. I play in an orchestra where the stage lighting is terrible. Many of we volunteers use stand lights and mine seems to be one of the brightest if not the brightest. I like the recharable battery better than regular AA batteries. The advertised charge length of 6 hours seems to be true. I've recommended this product to other colleagues.

Wonderful!!

This is a fantastic light in every way. It fits a music stand perfectly, the brightness is adjustable, the rechargeable battery lasts a long time, and best of all, you don't have to drag a cord around. I hate to say it but this seems like it's priced too low......prospective buyers may think it's a "cheaply" when it is of very high quality. I ordered another one just to have. One day I'll find a use for it. Can't recommend it high enough.

Meets my needs!

I needed a light to help me practice in a poorly lit room and this product fits my needs perfectly. The low setting works great for daytime use and I use the brighter setting for the evening. The power switch is easy to reach mounted on my music stand The clamp is steady and I've not had to adjust it since adding it to my set up a month ago. This light meets my needs perfectly.

Very handy light for a music teacher

I teach 20 violin and viola students and my eyes are not what they used to be. I use this while I'm teaching and practicing to better see the music and it is great. The bright setting is fantastic. It doesn't quite span the width of a Manhasset style music stand, so there is a little bit of shadow on either side of the top of my music. I might have preferred just a smidge more width, but it's not too bad. I like the fact that I can keep it plugged in, but if I need to move for any reason (duet work, working with piano, moving to the mirror, turning around to demonstrate a skill to Mom) I can just unplug the light and move the stand and light anywhere as needed. Very handy for a music teacher!

GREAT MUSIC LIGHT !!! We use it on our baby grand piano and it looks AMAZING !!!

WOW !!! I mean really WOW WOW WOW. Perfect brightness, VERY NICE LOOKING. Great battery life in the rechargeable battery that's built in. I charged it fully, and it's been used off and on for a couple weeks with no noticeable dimming. The neck is FANTASTIC. Adjusts very easily to any position and STAYS IN POSITION !!! Not wobbly or wimpy. I cannot imagine a better lamp for lighting sheet music on our baby grand piano. Makes playing in the dark a breeze. I cannot praise this lamp enough. And the price is PHENOMENAL !!! It's a great thing when a company produces a high quality product for such a low price. Just fabulous !!!

Great light for a closet.

Bought this for my closet. I needed something with an arm because the strip lights end up only illuminating the top of things. This turned out great. It focuses light on the front of my clothes so I can easily see everything. You can't quite see the light itself in the photo here, but you can see the light it gives off. It was charged out of the box, which was nice. The clip fits snuggly on the shelf which is about an inch thick. It's not budging. And the arm is flexible enough to get it just in the right angle and stay there. The on/off button is conveniently located on the end of the clip facing me.

Good Size, Enough Light for Stanging, Handy, Durable

I brought this for my professional musical performances, and it works perfectly fine. There are 2 levels of light, I mainly use the strong one and I love it's actually rechargeable! Love this! Good size and handy!

Nice music light at a great price.

Bought one of these for use at orchestra gigs - liked it so well I bought two more to make sure the rest of my section had lights when needed. Bright, even light. Flexible shaft makes it easy to position where it's needed. Good strong clip grips a variety of music stands and piano music desks just fine. And unlike some much more expensive lights, it doesn't block my view of the conductor over the top of the stand and below the light. So far, seems to charge quickly and stay bright for a long time. Do note that the supplied charger is not rated to run the light, only to charge the battery.
