Something is so magical about the Vita. I've had it for over a year now and my battery still lasts over 6 hours. It's awesome. It makes all my trips go by so fast. It really feels like you're chillin playing your favorite console games. Wish more people joined the family, but it makes it a little more special when it's a rare gem no one knows about. If you're thinking of getting one, pull the trigger. I bought a nintendo switch earlier this year and I haven't played it in months. Love love love the Vita babyyy!! The color is pretty awesome too. Definitely prefer a fun blue color over a gray or black. Come join the Vita family and check out all the sweet games! It has netflix too!!! Small little design but is tolerable to hold for long gaming seshes. Gnarly bro!

Awesome and great portable way to game. Like that I could use it to play a few games on my PS3 and PS4. Mostly love it for the cool color. Just wish that the game controls would switch like the system controls can. X for O and O for X. It's just the developers of the games, not that big of a deal but it can be a little confusing when it says to press X for something but really you have to press O. I just have to get used to it when playing a game. It's also difficult to find memory cards for this, might try a microSD adapter and see if it works.

Ordered late Monday night 11/5 & received today (11/8) from Tokuro Online Shop. Item received in new condition with no seal present on box, or signs of any use. Although it's possible they do not seal the boxes anymore like on the new Nintendo 2ds xl's, or they remove it to include the 2 prong plug as this is a Japanese import. First thing I did was go though the process of initial setup and then into system settings to check the firmware version, and it is at 3.68 which comes as a surprise being that it's a new console. I was expecting it to be a lower version, but it will still work for my needs. This is my first Vita, and I have to say it feels good in my hands compared to my PSP 3000 or PSPgo. The buttons and D pad are smaller than you'd find on the older portables, but the overall form factor of the console will likely make up for that and probably won't end up with cramped hands after extended periods of play. The matte finish on this is really nice, almost a rubber like coating on it which will prevent greazy fingerprint smudges. All in all a great little portable console that will get plenty of use.

Brand new PS vita, not much more to say. The instructions were in Japanese, but when you start up the Vita you can choose English right away and clearly, and then from there on out it is all English. The buttons are also in English (start, select) so other than the packaging it is identical to one in the US (which I don't think they sell anymore here?). While yours may come in a different version, mine came with 3.65 which was a real pleasant surprise as I figured I would have to deal with not having Enso. I really debated buying a used one but people have gotten really greedy, at least in my area, So, paying $30-$40 more for a brand new Vita was a no brainer.

Bought this with prime and received it within two days as expected. Previously bought a black one, that I was mislead to believe was a US version, and it also didn't look like it was entirely new/open packaging. Returned it, figuring if I'm going to buy the Japanese version, might as well get this blue one, for a slightly cheaper price too. Received the pch-2006 za23 model: box intact, sealed with a sticker. Opened it and had the American style power cord. Everything looked nice and new as to be expected. Color is beautiful, but I love blue. Turned it on and I think it was fully charged, whereas the other one I returned was only halfway charged. Set it up quickly and ready to go! I'm very happy with this purchase. But the one gb internal storage will not let you save much more than one smaller downloadable game, so you will need to purchase a memory card. One more note: the button swapping thing with the Japanese model is not a big issue. When you play a US game, you will use the buttons like usual. It's only in the main vita home screen that o and x are swapped in function. You can choose to swap the buttons in the settings, but that fixes type menus, but will swap it for your American games. So just leave it be. Super happy I purchased this overall.

Ever since I purchased a PS Vita PCH-2001 (USA/NA) version, I've been eyeing this aqua blue PCH-2000 (Japan) version like a hawk. The last two digits after each PS Vita numbers are region codes; example PCH-2001 is 01 USA code, PCH-2000 is 00 Japan code etc. I'm seeing some reviewers who have the PCH-2006 and little do these consumers know that the product they received from some of these sellers are the Asia 06 Hong Kong/Korea code version. I have no issues with any PS Vita versions, but I like to get what I actually paid for, and in this case I strictly wanted the Japanese aqua blue. You can also tell if it's the Japanese version during your first initial setup of the device, it will default to Tokyo. I took a chance and made a purchase from seller cus mart with FBA (fulfilled by Amazon) of same day delivery. Everything arrived on time and the product came in BRAND NEW SEALED boxed. The PS Vitas in Japan are still in production and they actually do not have clear seals. The seller I purchased from added them as extra security and I'm very grateful. All PS Vitas are region free so I'm able to enjoy all of my new physical and digital games on this device. This device only comes stocked with 1GB internal memory, so I went ahead and purchased a 64gb from the same seller and they did not disappoint. Extremely happy with my new PS Vita, it's an absolute beauty in person! It's hard to describe how stunning the color of this device is as I noticed in different lighting it will either look darker or lighter. The entire body except for the back touchpad is all matte finish so no fingerprints - yeay! The X and O button functions on the Japanese versions are reversed and can easily be changed in the accessibility menu under settings. I recommend just leaving the X and O on default as it's only reversed on the LiveArea screen. Once a USA/NA game starts it defaults to what western gamers are accustomed to, X=confirm, O=cancel/back. You can also login to any PSN region you have, but be aware only one account per PS Vita, blame Sony. If you have multiple PS Vita proprietary memory cards, you can set each memory card with a different PSN, again blame Sony. Other than that, this PCH-2000 version functions just like the USA/NA PCH-2001 version. For those curious, my model version came stocked with 3.65 firmware. If you are looking for firmware below this, it is best to ask the seller of your choice as these are still in production and very popular in Japan.

First off, It's definitely worth getting one of the colored models from Japan of the PS Vita Slim! All the colors are gorgeously vibrant and have a matte texture (unlike the standard black ones which are shiny fingerprint magnets). Plus they are more fun! Purchased mine brand new here on Amazon and it came in perfect condition. PROS: -Half the reason I got this was for compatibility with PSP and PS1 'Classic' which you can download directly to the Vita. I love my PSP, but its def convenient having it all in one! Plus most of them are pretty cheap on the PSN. -Great for Travel. I really wanted something to play while traveling or just on work lunch breaks (though I also play it at home a lot hahaa). The Vita slim is great for that and has tons of travel pouches and cases for protection. -There's a very large community of hardcore PSP and Vita fans. Including FB pages, blogs, and helpful YT buying guides. Please check them out! -There are LOADS of Vita games. More so because its region free and can play many PS1 and PSP games as I mentioned before. There's everything from old school RPGs to open world adventure games to shooters... I don't no why people say theirs "no games". -It plays FPS and open adventure games incredibly smoothly... just like on a console. So don't think this is just for simple, side scrolling games. -The console looks and feels premium. The screen alone is impressive for a little handheld. I will say, I am a female with dainty fingers and fits/plays nicely in my hands. CONS: -Vita games have been really hard to find physical copies of... I found a few used for $10 cartridge only. So you will have to go online if you want physical copies (like Amazon, Ebay or the Gamestop online store). Other than that you can download them directly from the PSN. -Now we get to those infamous memory cards... Sony made cards specific to the Vita, so you cant go out and set any mini SD card like with the PSP. They are STILL pretty pricey and you will find yourself having to put off buying more games as you run out of space on your current memory card. Good job Sony >:c That being said, Don't bother with the small 4-8GB cards. I got a 16GB and have a bunch of PSP, PS1, and few Vita games on it with still plenty of room. It will last you a good while. Get the 32-64GB only if you plan on buying and playing much of the Vita game library... or just have many for a bigger card. ... NOTE: Yes it is a Japan import, but the Vita is region free! You can set it to English at startup and when you sigh in to your PSN account it will get to that region. Only difference being the Select button on Japanese consoles is the "O" button while in the US it's the "X" button. So in the Vita home menu it will be "O", but if you play an American game it will be "X". Hope that makes sense. Its been virtually no issue to me and I've played for many hours.

it works great it has video apps a browser a camera and it saves movies and music for later. The games are great most not found in other devices, and ps plus gives you a handful of them to play for free. The color is awesome and it doesn’t have a region lock so I can play it with my US account (assuming the review is being read by someone who wants this from a region outside of theirs.) you can play a bunch of your old psp games and ps one games too. If you have a ps4 you should definitely have one of these so you can play in different rooms or let others use the tv while you play ps4 on this through remote play. You can do it with a computer too but the mobility of the psp is way better than a laptop if you ask me.

Look, there are plenty of great Vita titles. Chances are you already a bunch of Vita compatible games due to cross-buy. I certainly did! If that's not enough, you can remote-play via Wi-Fi. The expensive memory is the only drawback. I sprang for the biggest I could find for the convenience, but the smaller ones are a better bargain. I downloaded 17 games and one app. It took up 13 GB of space, to give you a sense of your potential needs.

Not gonna lie, the PS Vita is worth it in my opinion. •You can play a huge library of PS Vita games as well as digital PS1 and PSP games from the PS Store. (It’s also region free!) and online services and memberships like PS Plus. •Perfect screen size for watching movies; not too small or too big. Also, front-facing speakers. •Import movies, photos, or videos from your PC or PS3 onto your Vita, and vice-versa. So yeah. The PS Vita is a really great console, honestly the best Christmas present I ever had (although i’m writing this review in April, heh). The only thing you have to suffer though is the over-priceness of *proprietary* memory cards made by SIE. Aside from that, the Vita’s a rad handheld. (If you’re considering getting a Vita, get the blue one. It looks cool, just saying.)
