Really great customer service!

My original review was not stellar because the item arrived dented which I did not immediately notice, as I had focused on the glass part when I expected it. When I left feedback about it, I was immediately contacted with an offer of some partial refund (since I was not planning on packing it up to send it back). I had sent them pictures of the dent and received an immediate response and refund confirmation. This sort of customer service you don't see every day. The clock was a puzzle for me, too, at first. (The manual mentions plus/minus controls which my display doesn't have). After a little more experimentation, I found out that I had to hold the clock button for probably 4 (not 2) seconds to enter the clock setting mode. Then I could use the light and fan controls to set hours/minutes respectively. The product and customer service combined deserve 5 stars.

Get a professional to install it.

This thing looks SWEET!!!!! My wife and I love it! No one that we know has this style of hood range. It's very modern looking and brings your kitchen into this millennium. All of our family and friends love it too! You can install this yourself but I would suggest having a professional install this for you. It will require cutting a hole in your roof for the exhaust and you have to install a receptacle in the attic right above the hood range to plug it in. Again my wife and I are very pleased and it was $289 well spent.

Sharp hood vent and excellent price

Really nice unit. We have been using it our kitchen for a few months and we are happy. It looks really nice with the new SS gas cooktop, 3 fan speeds, nice lights, easy to use LED panel and dishwasher safe filters. Installing it was rather straight forward, it requires a power source in the attic for the island installation. Be sure to hang the initial frame, level, and on sturdy blocks or from ceiling joists, I built a small table out of 2x2"s and plywood to assist hanging it from the ceiling, this did make hanging it much easier

The range hood is beautiful. It is a great addition to our new kitchen. The fan is quiet and the lights are wonderful. Installation was straight forward. I will admit the instructions are terrible (they show the installation well, but not the use), and the clock is about useless (haven't figured out how to set it, but I didn't buy it for the clock), but the timer is a great function. I had one small issue with my order, customer service was extremely helpful and solved my problem immediately. For the style and function at this cost, you can't beat it!

Nice!

This range hood is so pretty, we've received many compliments on it. The fan is very quiet in low and medium modes, a bit louder on high, but way quieter than our old fan. The lights are nice and bright also. I'm really glad we bought this model.

Great addition to any kitchen project

Beautiful island exhaust for a recent remodel kitchen. Good quality and easy to install. Quiet with clean lines and nice control features.

Having said that I'm so pleased we went with this one

While updating our kitchen I read so many reviews on different models of vent hoods. Having said that I'm so pleased we went with this one. From start to finish it took us around four hours. We did it with two people right up until the final mount. It "could" be done with two, but I would recommend three people due to the weight. Here's my recommendationsL 1. This unit is not hard wired. If your current one is and you're replacing it with this you'll need to adapt it to a standard outlet. 2. While the directions aren't great, the unit is fairly simple to put together with what you're given 3. It comes with a flexible exhaust stack, so if you prefer a solid stack you'll need to have it ahead of time 4. Be prepared to have a brace in your attic in order to mount it. If your old hood has one, chances are it will need to be modified. That's probably the most time consuming part, but again nothing hard. For now I can that this unit is VERY attractive and works very well.

Modern Style Hood

I liked that it was a very modern style. Our contractor hung it up between the kitchen and dining room, took hanging cupboards out. That opened up our kitchen and made it look bigger. The bottom of the hood made out of glass made a big difference.
