I moved an led tv into my garage that had a bad tuner, but worked well with a cable or satellite box. However, the cable company would not put a line or decoder in my garage, so I bought this HD TV tuner to connect to the TV so I can watch over-the-air broadcasts while working on my cars. The tuner works great, pulling in over 28 channels in the suburbs of St Louis. It comes with a remote for channel changes and volume control on the TV, and does all that I expected, with a great picture on the TV. It's a great bargain for what it does.

I bought this because I didn't want to spend big bucks with Dish or Direct TV for their expensive dvrs. I thought this might work to record shows on Over the Air antenna. I already had a digital tv so wasn't sure it would work, but once I got it hooked up correctly, it works great. Got a 64 GB Flashdrive and have recorded a couple of programs and played them back.. I love this considering the low cost. I bought a 50 mile flat antenna for $50, flashdrive for $20. So for just a few dollars above $100 is all it cost to have my own FREE dvr and tv. Quick shipping by eXuby and great product. Just hope it continues to hold up and do well.

All of he above.

I had been using a digital antenna and its small amp already, and using it as a coax input on my HDTV. However, I have everything else ran thru and all HDMI amp/receiver which only has 1 HDMI output to your TV. So, I was unable to get my over the air channels ran thru the amp to get that massive sound upgrade. But using this box, and its HDMI output, I am now able to listen to my over the air channels in 7.2 surround sound. This was something I had been wanting to do as long as I've had Over The Air. Also, the box can also basically function like a DVR. It doesn't matter if I'm using my TV screen for my computer monitor, or watching a DVD, it can still record whatever you want because that signal is always there. What is nice also, as soon as I switch to the box, you have its own remote to surf channels, and it has a programming guide 2 weeks long. You can schedule any show to record anytime within that time window, very nice for vacations. For those still using analog TV's, it will also work with those, setting its channel on channel 3 or 4.

Works great on sharp aquos smart tv get more channels and can record shows on USB stick. Can watch shows by using USB button on remote (not in menu) or putting USB stick in tv only con is that you cannot power surf channels i.e.: if you press channel button to fast it gets buggy but for the low price I will live with it and not take off star. You provide antenna, batteries for remote, and hdmi cable if you don't have rca jacks on your tv. You can run coax also to tv, and the unit does not seem to care if you hook up three tv to unit (1 coax, 1 hdmi, 1 rca) pic shows unit top left, box it came in lower left, and "gunsmoke" on sharp tv got 16 channels where I live compared to 11 on tv

I connected this converter to my outdoor amplified antenna and it brought in all the broadcast channels that are in my viewing area. The set-up was easy and the instructions are clear. It does take some time to respond to the remote; however it just getting used to how it works. The feature of using an USB drive to view the contents on the TV worked well also. Follow the instructions for the USB function or you may have trouble going back to the TV program function.

Works great. I got impatient and hit "menu" before search was completed (dont do that) and called their customer service who did a factory reset and explained steps to me. Excellent customer service and great product!! (Its tiny too)

I ordered an RCA ota antenna to replace my DTV setup. I needed a place to plug in the coax with an HDMI output for connecting to my smart TV, and this item fit the bill perfectly. I placed the batteries in the remote, hooked up the converter box and the box took care of itself after that. It searched for the channels (I'm in SE FL and I ended up with 67) and programmed them. I set my TV to the antenna input and there were 67 gorgeous channels on my screen, all free and ota. It was easy to setup and the box is small and unobtrusive. Get it, you'll love it!

I read the reviews on here and decided to try to it on an old tube TV i have in my basement. I have hooked antennas (plain rabbit ears and an HD antenna) up to it before and gotten absolutely no channels, just static. I refuse to pay for cable down there when it is rarely used. I received this a couple of days ago and hooked it up today. OMG! I get so many more channels so clearly now than I ever dreamed of. Yeah!!!! I have not tried the recording capability yet, but plan on it soon. Will update this review once I have done so. But with just the channels coming in now because of this converter box it is worth the purchase alone.

Was looking for a cheap DVR and this seems to be it. The writing and software behind the product need some serious updating so there is a learning curve which could drive you crazy and ready to send it back. Once you scan in your digital channels you will see a program guide, it is not interactive or tied at all to the unit. If you want to record something you have to go to SCHD (schedule) 1 (ADD) scroll down to Channel No. (scroll from there using < > button to find the channel you want to record from) pick your recording date and time (straight forward) and the big issue...go to Mode (defaults to View...scroll to Record)...The type of hard drive also makes a difference. I tried a high speed thumb flash drive (latest and fastest) ...broken picture...a USB 1 TB (or whatever) USB hard drive...like western digital passport series...and perfect recording...remote control is also slow and frustrating at times, but for $200 less than a big DVR you have to expect some problems.
