I specifically bought this product for the Pokemon Go app. Whether it's getting steps to hatch an incubating eggs, travel to poke stops or track down a specific pokemon; the mount works very well. The mount fits securely for both 5 and 6 inch phones. Tested it out on my Nexus 5 and Nexus 6P. There's also a rubber band that attaches to the corners for added grip. Make sure you twist the manual locking mechanism after attaching it to the ball joint so there's no turbulence while riding When you hit speed bumps on the ground, the mount may change the angle slightly depending on what your bike rolled over, so you have to manually adjust the angle after impact. Your phone does stay on the bar though so no issues on it falling off your bike as it has a secure foundation. While casually riding it won't vibrate as it's very stable and easy to view (until you hit that big bump) Overall very impressed with the bike mount. And as always be aware of your surroundings ;) 4.5/5 **Update: Purchased another bike mount for my brother who also plays Pokemon Go and this one is a lot cheaper (as of this updated review): Bike Mount, Liger Universal "SuperGrip" Bike Mount Handlebar Holder for iPhone 6S 6/5s/5c/4s, Galaxy S5/S4/S3/S2, HTC One & Other Smartphones & GPS Holds Devices Up To 3.5in Wide. You get to save a couple of bucks. It's the exact same thing except the brand name on the device is different, and the Ipow version has an extra interchangeable band (you get a red and black band instead of only red in the Liger branded one). So up to you if you want to pay a couple of extra bucks for a bonus band.

It's ok for the price but has some issues. My Note 4 tends to slide down in the cradle when going over rough patches. This results in the side holders pressing the volume key on the left-hand side of the phone. This is not ideal when I'm listening to podcasts, music or using google maps. The other issue is that It will not tighten down hard enough onto the handlebars. *****I am editing and my previous rating due to outstanding customer service support.***** Sara at customer service reached out to me and sent me an upgraded my clamp from the plastic to a metal one. The upgraded clamp allows me to tighten it down on the handlebars more securely. When I'm riding hard I can mitigate downward movement of the phone by putting it in a more horizontal position which is fine. For normal easy road riding, I can have my Note 4 in any position on the holder and it works great. Overall the holder does exactly what I need it to do at a price that cannot be beaten.

Good range of motion on the ball joint and you can tighten it into position pretty easily. It's hard to adjust the ball-joint nut (that sentence was a mouthful of anatomy, eh?) but that's not a big deal. I was going to take a star from the review because the thumbscrew for tightening the handle-bar mount is annoying to unscrew (with its ten miles of threads) as well, which makes it hard to remove if you wanted to. However, that is a good design feature to prevent theft! Still, if it was stolen, I'd just buy another one for a few dollars. It just barely fits a samsung galaxy S5 with an otter box on it (not the belt clip piece, but the rest). It comes with two of the elastic rubber hold-downs shown in picture. These add extra security to the phone so it won't rattle off during biking. The designers did well in mitigating the translation of shock and vibration to your phone, but there's only so much that can be done there - it's on your handlebars and WILL be shaken. Gotta say it's pretty nice to be able to write this long review for a $7 product while riding my bike.

Holds the phone ok but the only issue is that the ball joint/swivel portion tends to move out of place a lot. If you hit a bump or go over cracks in the street it moves out of place. It's really annoying since I have to keep adjusting it around to get it back into place. I would not recommend taking it off roads or on bumpy roads. If it held in place and not move so much it would be a great product. Update 9-13-2017 After my initial review the company reached out and told me I had a defected model. Customer service is a 5 star rating hands down. I did not ask for a refund or an exchange. I was contacted and they sent me a new one right away. It works perfectly now. The swivel/ball joint problem has been solved and the mount holds the phone in place when used. With the new one I am very happy with the product and how it functions. I am also very impressed with how much they listen to consumers and their inputs. When contacted they were very apologetic and wanted to make it right. I've never dealt with a company who goes out of their way to make sure a customer is satisfied. Very great product and excellent customer service.

I was just about to purchase my second one of these and thought I should leave a review. I've had my first for about a year and it's been basically perfect for what it is. I have this on my motorcycle and am about to order one for my second bike because it's done such a fine job. The webbing that tucks around the corners has always been more than sufficient to keep my iPhone 5s in place, and that's a small phone by today's standards so I'm sure they'd be even tighter around your average phablet. I know plenty of friends whose mounts are more expensive, more complicated, and don't hold the phones as securely as this. As for the quality, it's unsurprising for the cost. The whole thing is kind of cheap feeling, especially the clamp mechanism itself that attaches to the handlebars. However once I had it installed it's never loosened itself or given me any issues. The ball and socket joint also works surprisingly well once set, but again is made of a light plastic that doesn't feel all that reassuring when being installed. Once you get things where you like them though, this mount keeps going and going. For $10? Definitely a good buy. EDIT: Took the new bike for a dirt ride with this mount, and had two offs. Handlebars hit the ground, broke a handguard, shredded one of my stock mirrors, and ground off part of the brake lever - and this mount never missed a beat! The phone was about the only thing that DIDN'T break off of the bike! Working as expected.

It gets the job done. I saw people use them for their motorcycles so I was surprised when it moved around me a bit when applied to my cycling road bike. It moved at the ball pivot point. It’s not an overly heavy phone (iPhone X). Installation was simple and overall it gets the job done. Just wish it was a little more secure. UPDATE: IPOW reached out to me and was willing to send me a new product seeing as the product was not to the standard they hold to and that for me is a very big deal! I will be doing another update when I receive the new product. UPDATE 2: I revived the product and it is so much better! The upgraded medal is so much more sturdy and stays in place much better. I would highly recommend this product and I would recommend just going straight for the upgraded metal version!

I bought 2 of these over 3 years, one for each of my bikes. It holds the phone nice and tight, and I never once questioned if it would drop my phone. You can theoretically just use the plastic clip, but if you pull the webbing around the phone it will keep it in a lot better. You may be thinking, modern phones are huge! How could my giant phone possibly fit in there? The answer is that basically anything will fit there. I had a Samsung S3, Note 4, and now a Note 5 that goes into mine every single day, and those are some of the largest phones on the market. The only issue is that with some samsung models, the volume or power button lines up with where the webbing comes across on the phone, so you sometimes may have to pull it away so it doesn't shut your phone off while you're riding. Overall works well, and will buy again if it breaks for any reason.

I have ridden about 55 miles with this on my road bike. While I did give this 5 stars overall because I am enjoying using it, I have a few minor issues. First off, it is a little tricky to install on my handlebars. I wouldn’t say I have large handlebars by any means, but even at the largest hinge I have trouble getting the clamp screwed in since there’s not a lot of wiggle room. Once I get it screwed in though it is very stable. I have not had any issues with the clamp moving during a ride. What I have had a slight issue with is the ball bearing/swivel point on the phone holder. When I go over very bumpy roads the holder does start to drift off the point I set it at, but it’s easy enough to adjust back mid-ride. This has only happened over an exceptionally bumpy road however. Overall this mount is very stable. In addition, although I was skeptical of the silicone straps holding in my phone properly I am quite impressed with how tightly my phone is held in. The clamp itself is already nice and snug, so the silicone straps mainly feel like extra insurance. Even over those super bumpy roads my phone didn’t move an inch within the holder. Overall, I would recommend! I enjoy having directions right in front of me while I am biking.

I bought this mount so I could clip my iPhone to the handlebars of my bicycle. I use my bike to commute from home to the train, and then to the office. The roads in my town are OK, but down in the city near my office they're pretty bad. I was worried at first that the bumpy ride would knock my phone out of the mount, but it stays right where I want it. A couple of things that I wish were better: The tension nut on the swivel mount doesn't tighten down very well, so the orientation travels around a little. Ideally I want my phone close to flat to prevent drag (as if my phone is less aerodynamic than my dad-bod...), but the phone eventually tilts down after 15 minutes or so. The other thing isn't the fault of the mount, but mounting the phone to the handlebars exposes the phone to the elements more than I would have thought. Earlier this week it was 36 degrees out when I left home. Fifteen minutes later, my phone shut itself down and drained my battery from 100% to 10%. The phone was too exposed on my handlebars. I assume I'll have a similar problem in the summertime when it gets hotter.
