A big fan of the vertical messenger, I have 3 others; just got this one and it is substantially superior. I chose the smaller one. It has far more separated compartments than my others have (an attractive leather hlc, a Carhartt, and misc. unknown brand) so one can easily locate an item stored in the bag. There is a separate compartment for electronics, about 1 inch deep, a 2-3 inch deep main compartment with 2 zippered areas, one is a see through net. There are two full size zippered, but flat, storage areas also, one in front flap and one in back. Besides the shoulder, or cross-body, strap there is a handle also, cute and handy. The material is sturdy twill, with militaryish twill tape/leather accents. It is unisex, but a larger man might find the large size more proportionate. I was so impressed by its utility and style that I ordered one for a friend, and will likely order others for gifts, as it will be so useful for others.

I'm sort of perpetually in search of a good handbag. I'm a retired 66yo 'Nam vet, who does things like sailing and whitewater rafting for a good time. I've decided to indulge myself with the new fem culture by finding some sort of 'purse' that can contain all the stuff that life seems to require now. That includes an Android phone/tablet, guide books, water bottles, bits of lunch, sunglasses, misc. whatnot. The result is not as bad as my daughter, who owns a great many purses and bags - I simply own a few, but so far not the right one. It is not easy finding a good purse. I two&three star travel internationally a bit, and want a bag that is not prone to pickpockets. I don't want too big a bag, tried those already. Don't want a backpack, they end up being a pain on planes and on trains and in museums. Want intelligent pockets so I don't have to dig for stuff, but don't want too many pockets because I need a single big one to fit in a water bottle and the cheese and bread I took from the breakfast buffet at the hotel. This larger one here seems right now to be a pretty good compromise. Well made, but also well designed. My Samsung S8 in an otterbox case fits snugly in the end pockets, but only deep enough that the camera is still exposed if I want to film as I walk, hands free no less. My 8" tablet fits in all of the zipper pockets, but especially the one that is next to my body, so it's hard for everyone but me to get access to. The top handle is open enough to make it easy to grab, but also tight enough I can feed a thin rain jacket thru and not have it slip off when I'm in a hurry like getting on a subway car. It has a nice heavy adjustable shoulder strap so I can wear it across my body, in front of me in crowded places where I want to keep track of it. And it's small enough it meets all the international carriers definition of a carry-on item.

I love everything about this bag: the many pockets, the color (coffee), the tall shape (rather than wide), the little handle at the top, everything. The pockets on the sides are perfect for pens and pretty much nothing else, unless it's tall and thin. I chose the larger bag, even though I'm small, because I love having that extra room, especially when traveling. The bag is really not that big, in my opinion, but do your homework and look at the measurements in the description BEFORE purchasing. I hate reading reviews from people saying they were disappointed because whatever they ordered was larger (or smaller) than they thought it would be. Really? The dimensions in the description are there for a reason. This bag is labeled as a men's messenger bag, but I must disagree. While it's not suitable for people who prefer a more delicate purse, this bag can definitely be used by anyone: man, woman, or older child. I also don't think it's a true messenger bag because the main compartment is not hidden under that flap, which was a huge selling point for me because I don't like flipping the flap over every time I need something. I only recently purchased this bag, and I have already received two interesting reactions. The first person thought it was some sort of tactical bag. The second person asked if I were selling Girl Scout Cookies. Interpret these two interesting reactions as you will, but I think it means this is the best bag EVER!

They make 2 sizes I got smaller and very happy. I travel a lot (I'm Male) it holds IPad 4 Mini perfect in area with pens slots, the back or main compartment easily holds 3 water bottles if you want to carry that much but it will weigh a lot. The workmanship is impeccable, stitching even and secure, re-enforced where necessary. Zipped seem high quality, I think it's the BEST satchel in this price range offered on Amazon. I plan on taking on international trip in 2 weeks to carry electronics, passport, paper and pens and magazines.

I purchased the smaller version of the black bag. It’s actually a little larger than I was expecting, but that’s fine. I needed something that was a little more masculine looking because I don’t carry women’s purses. But I need to be able to carry a wallet, my cell phone, glasses case, and a few other little things. This bag will do the job perfectly. There is a zippered compartment on the front flap that’s large enough for small items (I use it for quick access to chapstick and hand sanitizer). Under the flap there’s another larger zippered area that’s useful for holding a couple of pins, keys, maybe a checkbook, small notepad, or your cellphone, and other smaller items (I have a notepad, pens, AirPod case, and my travel essential oil roller stored there). The main compartment is large and there is a mesh zippered area inside. Inside the mesh area I keep a charging cord for my cell phone. The large compartment holds my wallet, glasses case, and spare change holder. But it could hold many more items. Finally, there is a padded zippered compartment on the back side of the bag. There is where I usually keep my cell phone (I have the iPhone XS Max) but it is large enough to hold a small tablet. This bag is sturdy and I feel it will last a while. I’ve had mine about a week at the writing of this review. The shoulder strap is plenty long enough for a tall person to be comfortable. I’m 5’2” and if I stretch the strap to the longest length, the bottom of the bag is almost to my knee. The bag isn’t bulky and it’s made of a durable canvas material. The zippers and strap adjuster are all metal. So far, this has been a great bag.

The bag was kept in sturdy fabric packaging and on top of that was a plastic layer. Is very great quality, adjustable for various heights, and very well proportioned and thought out pockets for all of your belongings. Personally I got this bag for the gym, going out, and walking downtown because I find it frustrating that I have to carry a bunch of things around from my house to my car and then usually end up bringing more things back in the house. Highly recommend, and if you’re worried of looking too posh or femmen you won’t it flows well with whatever you wear and looks better if you put it over the shoulder. Must buy!

I absolutely love this bag (I wish it came in charcoal or grey). This is the perfect size for toting around my sketching and painting supplies, with plenty of room for my wallet, drinking water, paint water,a medium sized art book, sketchbook and an iPad Air 2 or Ioad Pro 10+”. It’s made well and has just the right amount of compartments available to keep things separate and organized. I love taking this into Seattle for urban sketching or to the museum. Not too big, but definitely big enough to fit what I need to pack around with me and it’s comfortable to wear.

First I love the color. In a world of black and brown bags it's great to have some color. In spite of Xincada's appologies for bad lighting, they did as great job picking this color which is dependent on the light you are seeing it in. In broad daylight I would say it's navy blue with a tinge of purple. In room light it's more navy than purple. I love the many compartments and attention to detail such as a pen pocket, a headphone pass through grommet, many zippered compartments (six zippers overall.) The zippers seem to be good quality and the seller seems to be responsive to dealing with warranty issues. The canvas is very good quality but I will be spraying mine to make it waterproof as it appears to be untreated. The name 'Xincada' was an odd choice as it means lame in Catalonian. I'll bet no one looked that up! Despite the name it's far from lame. It sits squarely in the sweet spot of 'Man Bags'. Not as big as a messenger bag. Much more versatile than a gym bag or a tote. I chose the larger size because I have a 10" Lenovo YogaBook which fits perfectly in the main compartment. I made a YouTube video all about it using a new YT channel name of BagMan if you want to see more. I think you will find it entertaining and informative as even my pet Cockatiel gets into the act. I do mention that I bought it from Amazon in the video but I have received no payment or endorsements for this video. Feel free to ask me any questions and I'll try to help.

Does a wonderful job of holding my full sized study Bible and still has room for a notebook and pens. A very well made bag!

I recommend this bag. I’ve purchased a size medium and the color that I went with was the coffee color because I was going for that casual look. I bought this bag so that I won’t have to carry around a bigger bag. Another reason why is so that I won’t lose anything that I own and I won’t have to walk around with such heavy pockets. If you knew me, I really dislike having all of my daily essentials in my pockets. Although, I am a guy and I use this as a bag for work and periodically for going out. I was given compliments from my friends that it’s a nice casual (man and/or messenger) bag. Also, I like it because of all the pockets that make the bag itself quite spacious. I can fit all of my daily essentials perfectly in the bag. I definitely like how you can adjust the straps on the bag so that it is comfortable to where you would like it. So far, I’ve had it for about three months so I do love how durable it is. If you do plan on carrying text books or anything around that size, I suggest you to buy the large size. however, I highly recommend this bag to any female and/or male.. aloha!:)
