First off, I love it. I went off my selection based on another review, stating it was a bit short. So I ordered one size larger. Yes its a bit big but its manageable. For the length it can be easily hemmed to the desire length. The sleeves are large as intended which is fine as well. Can also easily be hemmed with little effort. The cloak is closed with a color matched ribbon(in my case) just below the hood across the chest. The hood is very big but can still be worn where you want it without hassle. I bought the grey in a xxl. If you wear an xl shirt, order the xl cloak. I will be hemming mine.

Perfect robe for my plague doctor costume. Some what thick material and very heavy duty feeling. It does only come with a ribbon to keep the robe closed at the neck line, so I removed the ribbon and enhanced the robe by added my own leather buckles.

I like to dress up in Harry Potter drag and hang out in Diagon Alley at Orlando Universal Studios, and I'm entertaining a huge family reunion in Florida next June. I want to take the kids into Harry Potter land and do the costuming thing with them, but I will melt in an official HP robe, so I thought "why not make a new robe from lightweight material, and decorate it for an alumnus of Slytherin House". A black robe. Then some UV dye for decoration (so it all happens when I walk into Nocturne Alley) and I'm done. Long story short, I saw this and realized I can't make one cheaper, so decided to see if this would be a good starting point. Yes it will. The material is nice and light, almost translucent in bright light. The fit is good on my weeble-shaped body, but I shall have to take it up a couple of inches. The robe is unlined, so you are going to see some seams. With the robe tied closed and the hood carefully folded back they shouldn't show. For this price you really can't beat it. [UPDATE 10/15/18] I bought a red one too, and will certainly be buying more in different colors. I cannot make cloaks this good for the price being charged and having one from the get-go cuts hours off costume projects. Fitting: I am 5'8", 250 lbs with a 44" waist. A 2x cloak fits me nicely as far as girth and sleeves (which I want a little longer than my arms to add to the mystery and menace) but runs long, being cut for a person over 6' tall. I shall be taking up the cloaks by about 4 inches and adding additional hidden fastenings. I shall also be replacing the ribbon-like ties at the neck with cloak hooks, available from conventions, ren-fayres and very likely here too. The red is a nice rich red and would work for evil clerics, vile satanic cultists, Masque of the Red Death attendees and princess brides. [/UPDATE]

My 8-year old son wanted a cloak to be able to use for general dress-up and many of them I found were specific to a certain character or theme. He was very into Harry Potter at the time, but the Harry Potter robes don't have a hood and sometimes he wanted a hood. He has used this cloak to play wizards, magicians, star wars, to dress up at Harry Potter AND Professor Snape, to dress as the grim reaper, and even as a priest. He has also pretended it was an invisibility cloak. We love how versatile this is! He's been playing with it for months. I love that the black color can be used in so many ways. He has worn it outside, to play in the woods, and in the comfort of home and it has held up so far.

Perfect inexpensive robe, lots of laughs for a "Harry Potter" themed Christmas party. I'm seeing some reviews that it fit a bit small - but I ordered a large and it was pretty long and large on me (female, 5' 6"). Pic is my coworker wearing it around the office!

It's a pretty good quality cloak. I'm 5'6" and I ordered a Large but a Medium might have done just as well. The sleeves are VERY long though so keep that in mind and when I wear it it almost reaches the floor.

Excellent medium weight cloak. I got the hunter/forest green in XXL.(nice to have color options) A cloak is usually worn over other clothes (do your measurements with the costume you will be wearing under the cloak), and I wanted some room to move. As described, "uniform" type fabric, poly maybe poly cotton blend. I did a quick wash in cold water and hung to dry. Minimal wrinkles (this type of fabric will get shiny, and melt if ironed too hot. Use a pressing cloth!) A simple ribbon tie. Folded, the fabric is the same width under arms (around body) as the hem at floor. So, there is no flare at the bottom, but the fabric flows nicely when you are moving. All seams secure and edges of fabric are surged. Hood is full and double thickness, pulled forward would cover most of your face. A few quick measurements - under arm, seam to seam, front and back combined is approx 60 inches. Nape of neck to hem approx 66 inches. Sleeve - shoulder seam to hem approx 27 1/2 inches. Excellent costume piece for the price. Thinking about getting more colors.

Husband is our DM for Dungeons and Dragons. He wears this every time! Also makes a great wizard robe for Halloween 😁 He’s 6’4” 250lbs and it fits him PERFECTLY and it’s about 1-2” off the ground(he got an XXL).

Fits perfectly XL Robe / XL Tunic I'm 6'0 / 225 Pounds I'm a heavy set guy, not fat, just Big. I was very scared to order one as I didn't know what size was the right one after all of the reviews. I ordered an XL Tunic and XL Robe. Pants / Jacket Fit Perfectly ( Every so slightly loose but you want this in a Costume ) Robe Fits perfectly, Its Big, its Baggy, and the XL Robe sits about 5cm from the ground on a 6'0 Guy. Hope this helps. If you are under 225 Pounds and a Skinny Frame I'd recommend Medium / Large If you are 225 Pounds and heavy set, Thick, Go XL, Fits like a glove.

Better than i anticipated and made of very sturdy material. I look forward to wearing it to comic con this year!
