I love the cooking surface of the product

I needed a braising pot that was wider and more shallow than most 5 qt pots tend to be. I used this braiser to make a tagine that I had been making for years in a Pyrex, and this took it to the next level completely. My family couldn't get over how the same food became exponentially more moist, flavorful and delicious. The ease of use, even heating and beautiful design have me completely sold. This is my first piece of cast iron cookware, but I'm afraid that anything I buy after this will be a disappointment! With its beautiful looks and superior cooking abilities the bar has been set high.

This is a great cast iron pot and lid. I love the color, style, and cooking in cast iron. Also be sure to follow the directions, so that this cookware well last. And know that it is very heavy.

I've never been thrilled with the searing of the smooth, white interior of most enameled cast iron. As I was doing my research I found that the matte black of Staub does a much better job, so I zeroed in on them until I found the Analon. With the Staub-like interior and full metal handle safe up to 500F for 2/5 the price I figured it was worth a try, and boy was I right! I haven't actually tried Staub, but I can say without a doubt this gives a better sear than a Lodge. The handle is easy to grip, and the lid fits very well. The enamel is smooth and even on the outside, and the inside has that great texture that releases very well. I'll definitely be adding a Dutch oven soon. I just wish they offered some more colors and some smaller sizes.

See my 5 star review of "Anolon Vesta Cast Iron Cookware 7-Quart Round Covered Casserole, Paprika Red". I haven't used this 5 quart braiser yet, but since it's just a smaller shorter version of the casserole, it should perform equally well.

Beautiful cast iron dish, but you better be strong to use it. This cast iron braiser is heavy. The finish is a wonderful red color. Basically it is a cast iron utensil with an enamel coating and due to this there is no reason to season the pot. We love it so far. It is a very versatile size and can go from oven to table. Very convenient.

I love my old cast iron cookware. I love my enameled cast iron. I love my analon cookware. I love braising. Given all that it was a no-brainer to try this new analong enameled cast iron braiser. I do a fair amount of braising both on a gas range and on my big green egg. I did a test run with this cooker on the big green egg, making a fricasee of rabbit, very low, very slow. It turned out amazing. I was able to get the pot cleaned with a minimum of work. Second use was on gas range and made chicken and dumplings which also turned out great. My other enameld cast iron pots are large and deep. It is wonderful to finally have on the is wide and us points for the gorgeous paprika color as that is the accent color in my kitchen

This pan easily compares with other, pricier models in the same category. It's got a nice look to it and the heft that you'd expect from cast iron, but more importantly, it cooks well. The basic features (handles on either side, curved lid handle - better than a nob!) are nice, but ultimately, it's how well it cooks that matters. We've been using it for a few months in the oven and on the stovetop, and aside from normal seasoning, it's not showing much sign of wear. It cooks evenly and thoroughly and I'm impressed.

I love this. This is a perfect braiser, wide and deep (but much shallower than a Dutch oven). It is enamel on the outside, but cast iron on the inside. It is very heavy duty, but looks nice and works well. It's a fantastic shape for braised casseroles or other dishes. It's big and a go-to for several meals in our house.

This is a fantastic, versatile pot that I really can’t recommend enough. First off, it is built out of cast iron so it has great thermal properties, of course, but the outer coating looks beautiful and the inner coating makes it unbelievably easy to clean. It is also perfectly balanced between depth and width, so you can easily use it to both sear and braise meat. I made chicken in it this past weekend and was able to fit in roughly 5 lbs of chicken (in parts), sliced onions, a quart of cooking stock and other liquids and seasonings with room to spare. Bottom line, it is such an incredibly versatile pot, and so well made and easy to clean, I can see it being a go to in the kitchen for years to come.
