I bought these to hang my yoga hammock/ yoga trapeze in my home office. They work great for that. Some folks may prefer a bar to hang their yoga swing from so that they can adjust the width, but since I have an A-frame roof with exposed beams, these were less obtrusive. I think I hung them too wide for the yoga hammock for my size and I think I will get a bar and put a chain through it to connect with carabiners to the Heavy Duty Swing Hangers. That way I can easily adjust the width of the yoga hammock across the bar. These hangers were a great deal for something so heavy duty. I feel completely secure with them bolted into the beams. (In the photos, those masses of black webbing are completely unnecessary. I used my regular hammock straps to extend the hammock lower towards the ground, and bunched the extra up there out of the way. This is all temporary as I dial-in my set-up.

Product arrived with sturdy, useful swing hangers inside. Product served its intended purpose by entertaining my youngest son while he swung on securely fastened infant swing.

I used these to install a 600lb rated porch swing. Installed using 1/2" x 4 1/2" galvanized bolts with a lock washer, large washer and nut above the double 2x6 (laid flat & secured firmly to the porch trusses) above the porch soffit. FYI: Before you buy the hardware, have the swing hanger in hand to confirm good fit. Do not use carriage bolts, as the flat head is too wide to slide past the nuts on the pivot points. Even if you can get the flat head past the pivot points, the carriage bolts usually have a square or hex base beneath the flat head that does NOT fit into the precisely drilled 1/2" diameter hole. NOTES: I did not use the steel snap hooks (carabiners). Nor did I receive an install e-Book.

I bought these to hang my yoga trapeze and, oh MY, are they seriously heavy duty! I wanted to make sure I felt secure while hanging upside down and these definitely do the trick (and then some!). I think hubby probably hung them a little too far apart, but they work. If my trapeze falls it won't be because of these hangers!

Just hung my 48" wood swing from a 4x10 beam in our back yard. Used 3/8" x 3.5" lag screws with washers. Drilled 5/16" pilot hole. Put some wax on the lag screws - probably not necessary, but heard it helped ease the screw into the wood. That swing is not going anywhere! For the first time, I was not afraid to sit on the swing.... I'm 6' and 235lbs. The swing swings noiselessly and very smoothly. I was afraid of squeaks or rubbing sound. Not a sound. I'm very glad I splurged on these swing hangers. The galvanized lag screws and washers were about $5 at Home Depot. All in all, well worth the money!

The old hangers on our swing set were single pieces that went all the way through the beam, and ended in a triangular section underneath, where the "eyelet" hooks are supposed to rotate. After years of use, the triangles now turn sideways. The attached eyelets would slide front to back, instead of rotating, squeaking and squealing on every swing. I wanted something more secure - I found these! These hangers are incredibly sturdy. Each one attaches to the beam in two places, so they won't turn sideways. The swing motion is very quiet and smooth, with a LOT less friction than the old style. My wife noticed the difference, saying it is easier to push our children on the swings! The kids like them too because they are so smooth and quiet. I like them because they are sturdy enough to support an adult - nice that we can get on a swing right next to our kids! I highly recommend them.

These are probably stronger than most items you'll be hanging from them. I hung a punching bag from one, a climbing rope from another, and a yoga swing from two. These are the last things you will worry about failing. 1/2" lag bolts are big, I pre-drilled 3/8" pilot holes as other reviewers stated and had no problem with splitting. The main beam in my basement is made up of 6 or 8 2"x12" boards laminated/joined together and due to the size of lags I was more comfortable turning the mount so that only one lag went into a board. Also you will have to loosen up the center bolt to get a socket in there the first lag tightens fine, but the second has no give. These are quiet, there is absolutely no sound from the items above being used, no squeakin, etc.

This packing is crazy - the actual mechanism that mounts is so heavy duty you would think it was made to assemble swings for giraffes - but the carribener that comes with it is a thinner (more human level) steel construction. Each of these weighs a few pounds - it’s rediculous of me that I bought these for my < 5 yr old swing - in the off chance she turns into a black hole and weighs more than the sun I’ll still be ok I guess.

This was excellent, though I must admit that I think they're priced too high. Still, I think they know that grandparents (and probably parents) are willing to pay high prices to ensure safety for their grandchildren. And besides, I built the whole swing set myself, and I couldn't scrimp on the quality (or safety) of the swing hardware itself, so I had to buy ones that would even hold adults. Also, I did a lot of research into these, and I feel confident that this is one of the best sets out there for the price. (Still high, but much more reasonable than many others!)

Bought this along with the Jungle Kingdom Heavy Duty belt swings and am very pleased. It holds me with no issue (225lbs) And not only does it hold me, but I have swung to critical velocity (exceeding the height of the swing beam it hangs on) and jumped off it multiple times. Only down side is no hardware included to hang it. I'd recommend 5/16"x3" galvanized lags with lock and flat washers.
